Islay Manor - Historic Home in Downtown SLO

A 5 minute walk to the heart of downtown, surrounded by wining, dining (2 Michelin Star restaurants) breweries, nightlife, shopping, culture, hiking, and so much more. History meets modern comfort & convenience in this fabulously restored home in downtown San Luis Obispo. Enjoy an expansive 2 bed, 2 bath apartment, a private entrance, and a private patio to enjoy in the largest home in Downtown SLO. A short drive to Cal Poly, great beaches, Big Sur, wedding venues, & over 250 wineries.
The space
Enjoy the first level of our 3 story home in downtown SLO. While this home has every detail of it's history intact, it's all been perfectly restored and every modern comfort is in place.

Enter through a sitting room equipped with a couch, 2 chairs, and a large smart TV.

Enjoy 2 bedrooms, each with queen beds. 2 bathrooms, one with a tub/shower and one with a walk in shower.

The kitchen & dining room has everything you need to prepare a home cooked meal, enjoy your morning coffee or tea, sit around a dining table for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and even curl up on a comfy couch.

The apartment is very spacious. Each bedroom has abundant privacy away from the others in your group, and each bedroom is nestled next to a bathroom. The bedrooms have their own thermostats for personalized climate control. Each bedroom is also equipped with a desk for remote workers. Our internet speed is 200 megabytes.

As mentioned, this apartment is the first floor of our 3 story home. There are footsteps and occasional muffled voices that could be heard from the apartment, but truly not disruptive.

There is no onsite laundry available while here, but we have provided details for send out laundry service in our Welcome Book.

The entire first floor is yours while you are our guest.
There are a couple of locked doors that house our hosting essentials, but that will not impact your stay in the least.

Please also feel free to enjoy your private patio and sitting area just outside your apartment.

We reside in the home upstairs. Please stay to the RIGHT when you enter the yard through the black gate on the corner of Islay & Beach Street.

We'd like to once again remind guests that we live on the property.
While it is minimal, noise can travel between our spaces. We will be respectful of you, your privacy, and your enjoyment, and we ask you do the same for us.
