Unique Country Farmhouse with Beautiful Courtyard

Escape from the city life and come stay at our farmhouse. This unique rental is situated on a little over 5 acres and it is only a couple minutes from the Outer Banks corridor (highway 168). It is such a beautiful home and boasts a fun and relaxing courtyard to enjoy all day and night.
This unique farmhouse has a lot of charm and is decorated in beautiful colors to warm your heart to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. The open concept layout has a large kitchen, family room and sunroom/dining room. From the time you walk in the front door the cathedral ceiling and large sunroom catches your eye and brings you to the beautiful outside courtyard. The home has 2 bedrooms: Bedroom one has a queen bed, daybed with a trundle. Bedroom two has a full bed, daybed with trundle. This home has one full bathroom and another half bathroom in bedroom number two. There is also a washer and dryer in this rental.

On the outside of the rental there is a beautiful side yard and courtyard. We incorporated some whimsical colorful art so you will see some pretty cool things out there. For the kids, we have a paper scavenger hunt to find all the "critters” throughout the gardens and a fairy garden under the large oak tree for the kids to enjoy. For the adults the courtyard has a grilling area with a propane gas grill, picnic table, wood fire pit, chairs around the firepit, covered carport/dining area with another large dining area and outdoor bar. The café lights in this area really enhances it at night. It is absolutely beautiful out there under the stars.

This rental has a lot to offer in the country and is close to several points of interest. If you have a boat, there are several boat ramps for you to enjoy the Tulls Bay, Northwest River or the Currituck Sound. This rental is a 30 mile drive to the Outer Banks (OBX) bridge. There are several restaurants, shops and a grocery store within 4-8 miles. There are several parks and other attractions within short driving distances. Note: We purchased this property late 2023 and have been making improvements every chance we get. Stay tuned for more updates in the future!

Beautiful home. Very nicely decorated for Christmas. Large table to play family games at. Large comfortable couches to watch old family movies. Would definitely recommend and stay there ourselves in the future.

A charming property with a lot of wildlife. We had several tree frogs every night greeting us when we came home and our kids loved it! Thousands more were on this homestead but you won't hear them once you shut the door. We booked this listing because it was close to both Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks. Owners are super responsive and accommodating. The Internet is slow but I knew that going in...You can stream a movie fine on the TV for your family but secondary devices operating at the same time just need lower resolution tweaks.

We had a great stay. House was lovely! Host kept in touch. We came all the way from Maryland to visit my grandmother who recently moved to NC. I can’t wait to go back it was so peaceful. Would definitely rent this again!

excellent property

I was able to book this which less than a half mile from my daughters during a visit. It's very clean and beautifully furnished with a rustic country decor. We will choose to book again if the opportunity arises.

Wonderful and comfortable

This is a beautiful property. My wife and I stayed here with two young children. Everyone loved the house and was very comfortable. During our stay we went north and south up to an hour away to go to Virginia beach and the Outer banks. We also rode a monster truck not to far from the house. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, plates, cup, etc. The beds were comfortable. The house is beautifully decorated and well kept. The host was very kind and understanding.

The house is very clean, cozy and very private. Decorated beautifully! The house is equipped with everything you need, to include a washer and dryer. It’s close to many things but off the beaten path for privacy and relaxation! I would highly recommend this house and would stay again if ever in the area.

Another peaceful stay in Currituck

Nice ranch home with open concept living provides a comfortable and quiet getaway within driving distance to the OBX beaches. For us, the location is close to the mainland suburbs where our daughter’s family lives giving us much better access than hotels in Elizabeth City or Chesapeake. On our third time here, we are seeing property upgrades to both the house and the landscaping showing continuing care by the owners. Nice place to relax or provide home away from home rather than pre made breakfast selections at local hotels.

Perfect Setting

We rented this house for a girls’ getaway. It was close enough to home in VA Beach but the country setting and charm of this adorable house made us feel we had left our cares far behind. It is light warm and homey with tons of natural light from the abundant windows. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was very well-equipped. Tracy was easy to communicate with and made every effort to make our stay pleasant and memorable, from the welcome snacks to having her husband deliver us firewood for the firepit. She has made this a truly special place and I hope to stay there again and see the ongoing transformation she has planned for the property.
