This is a unique place sitting by lake. 1404 sqft. Entire lower floor faces to lake. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Newly remodeled. Private double docks and beautiful garden. Baby cannoy crib provided.
This area is zoned as a resort around the Lake Tapps. Seattle Hot Air balloons company sends their hot air balloons over the lake very often. Seems like here is one of their appointed spots. Sitting on my dock, you can see both of Mountain Rainier several hot air balloons. Lots of water gears are busy in the lake. It is a wonderland.

The property was fabulous! It has spacious bedrooms, one with an en-suite, washer/drier, fully equipped kitchen and a pool table! The property was immaculately clean and our host could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The communication was fabulous and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The property is also pet friendly and the lake views are wonderful.

The host was very easy to work with and accommodating. The rental portion of the house is the daylight basement only, (not the entire house as we were led to believe from the description) and has been updated quite nicely. Expect to hear some noise from the floor above. The lake view is nice and the gazebo and dock area look like they would be fun in warm weather. We were comfortable staying there and would consider staying there again.

Very clean and peaceful! The best part was the host, who lives onsite. Helen was so sweet and helpful. Very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Self check-in, Helen (the owner) provided all the key details via messaging that made it easy once we arrived on site. Lots of parking available too. Her rental has a great kitchen, and the entire unit was very clean. We enjoyed our stay (in the area for a wedding), and the extra bonus was being right on the water.

The house is in a beautiful location on the lake, the kitchen is well stocked and updated as are the two bathrooms. The rest of the house is some what outdated, but very clean and comfortable. I was not aware that the owner of the house lives upstairs. She kept to herself, was helpful and friendly. The house was very comfortable temperature wise but we had to ask the owner to turn on the AC because there is no thermostat control in the apartment. Overall our stay was wonderful, highly recommend !!

Our family enjoyed kayaking and SUPing from the dock in front of the house, on a calm lake. The host was very friendly and accommodating, also responded quickly when there were a few items out or almost out (like TP & dishwasher soap pods). My husband and I felt privileged to have our own private bathroom with large step-in shower. The only downside for our situation was that our son & his girlfriend got the bunkbed room, which was OK except for no window to outside. That room did get warm and stuffy, so bring a fan to use in that room. Also, note that there are 2 sets of stairs to go down to the dock, and 1 set to get to the gazebo. Might not be a good fit for someone with accessibility issues, or difficulty with stairs. Even the walkway along the house, to load and unload from your car, is downhill from the driveway. On a good note, we were thrilled to be able to see the fireworks from the other side of the lake, put on by the Lake Tapps Country Club. Thank you to our host, Helen, who communicated when needed but gave us plenty of pricacy.

Amazing place, wonderful host!

I booked this place for a friend… The entire process from start to finish was wonderful. Helen reached out to me the day before check-in to make sure all was well and we ended up having the most wonderful conversation! My friend sent pictures during the day, and I could see that everything was in ship shape, and a beautiful, spacious, fully provided setting for a great family get together. Both indoors and outdoors met and exceeded hopes! He, who is a man of few words, texted me when it was over, gushing. Amazing! Thank you, Helen!

The owner lives upstairs; this was not included on the details. With her dog. I returned from being out and about, my husband and son were on the dock. The dog was inside the VRBO barked at me upon my return. It was really irritating. Cabinets were so high that I could not reach the coffee cups, no step stool to be found. I did not enjoy this stay and would not recommend this home. Owner failed to provide me with access information. I had to reach out to her on the fly and request the information. While it was promptly provided, I did not appreciate the lack of communication upfront. Bar soap was provided in showers and for handwashing at guest bathroom sink. GROSS! I do NOT want to use other people's bar soap. I feel this property was mis advertised. I would not have booked it I had known otherwise.

Lovely Home and Views—Minor Surprises Upon Arrival

I really enjoyed my time at this property—it’s a beautiful, peaceful spot by Lake Tapps with gorgeous views and a well-maintained garden and dock area. The home is nicely remodeled, clean, and overall quite comfortable. That said, one thing to note is that the listing doesn’t clearly mention that the rental is actually the lower level of a home, more like a mother-in-law suite. It’s not a standalone space, so if you're looking for total privacy or silence, especially in the mornings, that’s something to keep in mind. I’m a late sleeper on vacation and could hear quite a bit of activity from upstairs early each day.Still, I had a great time overall and would consider coming back. Just a bit more clarity in the description would help future guests set their expectations. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Quick relaxing stay

Great spot to relax and enjoy the lake. This is a nice ground floor rental, with owner on main floor. Provides easy access to ask questions and supply stay needs. There is private access to accommodations. However, If you want maximum privacy look elsewhere.
