This 880 sq ft cabin is an ideal base for your next mountain getaway and easily accommodates five guests in two mountain view bedrooms.

Whether youā€™re chasing outdoor adventures in the warm summer months or looking for a one-of-a-kind slopeside ski in. ski out experience, Moonlight Basin Cowboy Heaven Cabins promise an authentic Big Sky Montana vacation in cowboy style! Perched high on the Moonlight side of Lone Mountain, youā€™re centrally and conveniently located to enjoy all that Big Sky has to offer and a scenic drive away from an incredible Yellowstone day trip.

Ski Access:
Cowboy Heaven Cabins boast TRUE ski-in/ski-out access to Big Sky Resort! The BEST on the mountain and suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The Iron Horse and Pony Express lifts at Moonlight typically open early to mid December. There is no ski access until the lifts open or after lifts close.

Ski Out:
Step off the back deck of your Cowboy Heaven rental cabin onto the Powder River Run. This will take you right to the Moonlight Lodge and the Ironhorse chair lift. (Green Access)

Ski In:
From the top of Ironhorse or Six Shooter lifts, ski down Lazy Jack to the intersection of Cinnabar and Powder River. Stay straight on Powder River and follow it back to your Cowboy Heaven Rental Cabin.(Green Access)

Great location and very clean

Location is great, great views of mountain and easy to find. It is a bit of a hike to get to the location, but secluded, beautiful and no noise. House was very clean and very comfortable. Would high recommend staying here.

Cabin was a perfect location for ski in/ski out.

We had an excellent stay at this property. Ski directly off the porch and down to the lift for easy access to the rest of the mountain. Management was very responsive and great to deal with involving any questions we had during our stay. Would highly recommend staying here and will return.

Beautiful views & cozy cabin!

My husband and I stayed at Cowboy Heaven Big Spur 7 for a long weekend. The views were breathtaking! The cabin was perfect for us. Prior to arrival the staff contacted me several times via email to let me know about local services, directions and check in times and procedures. The hot tub was amazing! The only draw back are the small bathrooms. The cabin was clean and I highly recommend.

Awesome Cabin with great views

We booked the cabin for the Run the Rut Sky running race, and it could not have been more perfect. The cabin was right on the course, which allowed us easy trail access to do course recon and also to view the races. The kitchen had all the amenities that we could need, the bed was comfortable, and the rental company was very communicative. It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone staying at Big Sky, winter or summer.

Big Sky family ski trip

We were excited to see if this Cowboy Heaven cabin was as good as the listing and pictures said it would be. It was even BETTER! CH 7 was in the perfect spot, about halfway up the mountain and just 8 feet from the Powder River run - great views and super easy ski-in ski-out. The property has a hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, towels, washer & dryer, 2 full bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms. It was nice and toasty inside because of the fireplace heater, and staff came around in the mornings to shovel away snow from the porch and walkways. We rented a 4x4 truck and glad we did because the road to get up there can get snowy even with the plow that comes through. Overall excellent and I will keep an eye out for renting this exact place again next year!

Absolutely Beautiful

We booked this cabin and weā€™re anticipating the views based on the pictures. Letā€™s just say the pictures did not do this property justiceā€¦it was breathtaking. We were there for first snow and it just made the trip more memorable and the views better. I would highly recommend this listing, the area is gorgeous. You are close enough to civilization but feel miles away. 10/10 for sure! I am already planning our next visit.

Unbelievable

I travel every year to Big Sky for 2 weeks normally staying in a larger house in Diamond Hitch with family but have always wanted to stay in one of the cabins in Cowboy Heaven. I would have to say that #7 is probably the best of the bunch. Took a last minute trip for closing weekend and couldn't be more impressed. A+++ ski in ski out location just a short ski down to iron horse which makes it super easy to get to either Moonlight or main base area. Views from the deck are stunning and the brand new Hot Springs hot tub was amazing. Cabin is cozy and well equipped with excellent furnishings. Beds and linens were much better than most high end rentals. Had no issues with anything everything was very clean and in working order. Both of the showers are very nice walk in glass. Great spot for two couples or small families. Massive L shaped couch in the living room could easily sleep two very comfortably. Hoping to come back this summer and explore all of the great hiking and outdoor activities in the area and definitely will be back next winter.

It was more incredible than we even thought! So clean, fire on when we arrived. We appreciated all of the amenities cowboy heaven 7 had to offer. It was amazing taking a break mid ski day and stop in for a quick rest. The views were outstanding. We would love to come back in the future!

Wonderful weekend!

Cowboy Cabin 7 was a great location and setting for our weekend visit. It was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and a pleasure to use as we had all our meals at the cabin. The outdoor grill worked perfectly. The hot tub was also appreciated by all.

Need R&R?

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I to rest and recharge. It would be great for a family of 4 - could be a little cramped for 2 couples. Only 2 chairs on the porch. Great hiking (Bee Hive and Lava Lake) and afternoons were spent just relaxing on the porch. We stayed in and made simple meals for dinner because it is about 9 miles to restaurants. It was beautiful in the summer and I can only imagine it would be awesome during ski season.

Simply Perfection!!!

The property was absolutely amazing!!!! The pictures definitely do not do it justice!!! A phenomenal view to relax. The beds were to die for. I slept like a baby(which I haven't done in months). We felt like it was completely heaven on earth. We are already discussing a return trip!!!! A true gem.
