A unique place, our 'Nauset Teepee' promises you a memorable family holiday in a clean, quiet setting that is distinctively Cape Cod.

The floorplan offers a first floor bedroom with a king size bed and full bath, large common room with walls of windows bringing the beautiful woodsy outdoors right inside. The open kitchen area has a standard stove, large refrigerator, dishwasher and sink with plenty of counter space for preparing meals. There is also an outdoor gas grille and picnic table. Up the spiral stairs to the second floor, you'll discover two large bedrooms, one with a set of twin beds, the other, a queen. Both bedrooms have high ceilings, tall windows and wonderful views of the private grounds.

The totally naturalized setting of this special house will appeal to those who seek comfort in the beauty of the woods. The trees here teem with birdlife and this secluded sandy lane provides a pleasant stroll or jog past other country homes. Just minutes away by bike or car are the bay and ocean beaches.

Campground Beach is a short walk from the house....a perfect place to view the glorious Cape Cod Sunsets. During low tide the kids will love tidepooling there while adults relax nearby. During the high tide the surf is a beauty to behold. Also close by are miles and miles of the famed National Seashore Ocean Beaches..Coast Guard and Nauset Light ( Watch for seals often seen in the Atlantic!) Fresh water ponds with lifeguards just blocks away as well as the BIKE TRAIL and walking trails. There is canoeing, golf, Willy's gym , ATM's, thrift shopping, Movies (even a Drive-In!!), shopping, art galleries, restaurants, crabbing, clamming, fishing,gas stations, liquor stores, coffehouses, music, theatre, grocery stores, library, churchs, temple, fish fry, ice-cream and donuts.. fun, fun, fun. A short distance away are many special destinations like the Audubon Society ( 1000+ acres of land including hiking trails) on the saltwater, and whale watching , and seal tours ,yoga on the beach, bookstores, freshest lobster and locally caught fish, songbirds and SEA Air!

Memories for a lifetime at this house!

Amazing house! Great time using the fire pit, outdoor shower and morning coffee on the front porch. Can’t beat the nature at this place! The location is perfect. We got to see and do so much while staying here. Beautiful Walk right to campground beach. Very homey place, we felt like we were Staying at a family members home. Definitely recommend and hope to stay here again!

Tranquility and location. We couldn't agree more. Eastham has the famed Coast Guard Ocean Beach destination and gorgeous sunsets on Campground Beach and First Encounter, bayside, just minutes from our doorstep. We are smack dab in the middle of the Cape, so you can go shopping , sightseeing, and dining as well, yet enjoy an immediately peaceful and relaxing environment back at the house. Secluded and quiet but very close to everything we wanted to do. Love the open floor plan and air conditioning, it was hot but we were very comfortable.

Nice stay

The house is nice and cozy in the middle of Cape close to bay and ocean beaches. We went to Campground beach during low and high tide, very interesting experience. We liked Nauset Light beach which is nearby. Provincetown is worth to visit. Its library was build around fishing ship. Nice restaurants nearby. Also owner allowed us early check in which was very helpful as we have small child. We enjoy our stay.

Perfect getaway

Private rental

Very pleased with this rental. We enjoyed the quiet and privacy. Close proximity to the beaches. Spiral staircase is a bit tight and challenging, our parents were happy there was a first floor bedroom.

The spiral staircase is usually enjoyed by the younger members of the household most :) but it is perfectly safe and yes, the bedroom with the King size is on the main floor. A great home in Cape Cod

This place is wonderful. You can tell this is a home and not merely a vacation rental. The vegetation around the house makes you feel you are away from everything. It is calm and relaxing. The house is very clean, it is a good size. It is well located, only 30 minutes away from Provincetown and close to many beaches. I really hope I can go back!

GREAT place to relax AND enjoy! The house is ideally located...nestled within the trees provides privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. The house is comfortable and beautifully furnished in a most welcoming way! It is close to the beach and bay. I particularly LOVED kayaking through the salt marshes! People in the area are super nice! This was our 2nd time going to this house and look forward to going back again!!!!!

The Salt Marsh in Eastham is one of my favorite hangouts as well. Love to kayak there in the Summer, oyster in the late Fall and walk the trails in the Spring. The Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center is nearby and offers lots of programs for kids and adults, including guided canoe trips on Salt Pond. After a day out on the Cape, IT IS nice to come "home" to peaceful surroundings at the teepee, isn't it? Sometimes a day at home reading, playing games, watching and listening to the birds sing is vacation time well spent , too. Therefore we are always thinking of ways to make the house more and more comfortable and enjoyable. Welcome to the Nauset Teepee family of returning guests! ANOTHER great experience at the Nauset Teepee!

This was our second time staying at the Teepee and we were just as happy with this visit as with the last. I have to say that my favorite thing is the privacy. Peaceful and quiet, yet so close to all the hot spots and points of interest. We sat out on the front "porch" every night and it felt like we were in the middle of our own private woods. FABULOUS! Everything was nice and clean, too. Will be staying again. THANK YOU

The Best Cottage Ever!

I have come to the Eastham since I was a child, and have rented for over 20 years. Nauset Teepee was clearly the best place we've ever stayed. The cottage was very charming, and well-maintained. Although it has rustic charm, it has all of the comforts of home, and very comfortable beds. The Teepee even got an A + from out teenage son. When you sit outside, you are surrounded by wildflowers and the sounds of birds. It is a totally private oasis, and close to wonderful beaches. We recommend this cottage very highly!

My Escape

Walking into Mino's house feels like coming home. A beautiful, clean and well maintained house. All accommodations and more was there to be found. One of my favourite things was to take a shower outside. As for locations it was easy to get to the bay side and watch one of the most beautiful sunset to be seen, and easy to get to the 22 mile bike trail, both just a few minutes away. I can highly recommend this house, and for myself and my family we cant wait for next year to be back in Cape Cod and The Minos house!!

What a great place for a family reunion!

Everyone was pleased and felt comfortable around this captivating house and property. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Private surroundings. Great games for kids and adults. Perfectly equipped kitchen. We had Surf and Turf every night from the local purveyors. We even sent the men folk to rustle up some clams from Salt Pond on Sunday. Being able to explore the two very different beaches (ocean and bay) was an exceptional treat for our west coast members - it is a contrast not found in many places! All in all, everyone was so pleased, they are inspired to get together again next year!

It seems the house accommodated your group nicely and you enjoyed some local treasures ( freshest fish! ) on the Cape, as well as exploring the nearby beaches. Wonderful secret hideaway

We enjoyed another wonderful Memorial Day weekend at the Nauset Teepee. We love the privacy of this cozy A-frame house tucked into the woods. We had terrific weather that allowed us to enjoy the back yard, the second-floor porch off the bedroom and the breezes that swept through the house with the windows open. The house is very clean and fully equipped, and the clean sheets on the bed and towels in the bathrooms were very much appreciated--much nicer than having to bring all our own linens. They were easy to wash at the end of the stay with the washer and dryer on the first floor. Jeanne is great to work with--very welcoming, organized and eager to make our stay enjoyable. She is so responsive to all emails and questions.

Perfect place for a get away

My girlfriend and I stayed at the property with friends for a long-weekend (post labor day). The property was amazing -- the house is beautiful and very roomy, and it is wholly private. You can't see the house from the road, and in the backyard you can only see a hint of the neighboring property behind it. This led to a very quiet and private atmosphere, which was very relaxing. The house comes well equipped (plenty of pillows, blankets, kitchen supplies, spices) and is conveniently located. There are plenty of restaurants nearby (I highly recommend going to Arnold's for lobster rolls), as well as nearby grocery stores. Jeanne (the owner) is very responsive to questions, and gets you all the information you need well in advance. We all loved it and would definitely go back.

The only bad part is leaving

This was our second year staying a week at the Teepee, so that says something I suppose. For our families (adults and 5-6 year olds), this location is the most ideal on the Cape. And we just love this house! It has a woodsy feel, with a back yard perfect for making smores in the firepit. As others have mentioned, it's convenient for spectacular bay and ocean beaches (plus the underrated Great Pond / Wiley Park right down the street- a very nice swimming lake), and for getting on the bike trail (bike rental spot is within walking distance). The house is so comfortable and relaxing and well-equipped (but, yes, the spiral staircase that leads to the two upstairs bedrooms is a bit tight and could be challenging for some). It should be noted that the house is not really "in town"- you will be biking / driving to most stores and activities. Works for us, since the trip is always beautiful no matter which direction you go, and cute Cape towns are within a few miles, but it's not for those who are looking for an in-town, walk-to-the-corner-store (or pub) experience. We enjoy the quiet, and the sounds of the birds...the tree-house feel of it all, and the easy accessibility to beaches and such. The nearby Wellfleet Drive-In is good fun for the family (fun to bring lawn chairs and sit in front of the car), and whale watching in P-Town was definitely worth the money- it's magical to see them flopping around out there. Also should be noted that we did pull a tick off one of the kids last year when we got home (probably picked-up at the Welfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, but hard to say for sure). Didn't turn into Lyme thankfully, but they are out there, and we were not so good at checking last year. We got the message- it is important to be vigilant every day about checking for them. All in all, the Teepee house, and this part of the Cape, come highly recommended for those looking for a family-friendly, nature-loving vacation in a comfortable home with accessible, friendly and helpful owners. And I bet it's really nice off-season, when the crowds have thinned out and you can get more bang for your buck. It must be beautiful in spring, with everything coming to life, and the water's still warm in the fall (actually, the ocean is warmest then). Thank you Jeanne- see you next year!

Thank you for taking the time to write this thorough review. I agree with you, "The only bad part is leaving", yet on a brighter note, there is always next year. Welcome to the Nauset Teepee Family of returning guests. Beaches, Wiley Pond, Whale Watching (we often see different kinds each time we go), Wellfleet Drive-In ( bring your picnic supper), biking ( the Rail Trail is safe and scenic), sightseeing and trips to all the little towns ( each with their own personalities) from our central location - sounds like a vacation filled with many of the Cape's goodies. Looking forward to your visit next year or perhaps a long weekend in the Fall, when the children are off from school? Outdoor shower is up and running until late October-still warm enough. Good place to do a tick check -welcome to the North East :( - especially after hikes on the trails all over the Cape. Or shower indoors, of course, and then cozy up to the wood burning stove. Our A-frame lends itself to comfort and spacious-ness and even though you are snug in the "woods", you are less than a mile from the bay and 2 miles from Coast Guard Beach, with the bike trail and restaurants closeby as well. We agree that is it a unique, special place and will welcome you back again!

Outer Cape Unique

From the minute you walk into this property, you are at home. Clean, quiet and homey. You can't go wrong with this vacation property. This vacation property becomes your home away from home. Everything you need from beach chairs to spices to cook, quite surroundings to nature's birdsong wake-up this vacation home has it all! We come back year after year to enjoy our "Happy Place". The owners keep this home family friendly and comfortable. We usually stay here in June but covid-19 changed our 'usual' to August. It was worth the wait! Close to great restaurants and bay beaches (the family side of Cape Cod). Covid-19 may have postponed our vacation but it didn't derail it. We knew the house would be covid-19 ready and it was, right down to masks and hand sanitizer as you walked in. Jeanne and Pete leave nothing to chance and are always thinking of their vacation home families. If you are looking for a unique property on outer Cape Cod this is it.

Our A- frame is not the typical house on the Cape. The uniquely high ceilings and open floor plan make it the "perfect" beach house for gatherings and meals with a "birdseye view" of the natural surroundings. Three full size bedrooms (each with its own a/c) make it comfy for everyone, with bathrooms on both floors. We try to provide what we think our guests will "need" for their stay and are so happy to welcome you and your family back to your "Happy Place" year after year! So glad you were able to take the week in August. We are down to earth folks, always available to answer questions and assist in making your stay what it should be- a place to relax and unwind- as well as being located in an area that is a great jumping off point from which you can explore much of what Cape Cod has to offer. Cape Cod TeePee

Wonderful private location. Spacious, clean, and well equipped interior. Spectacularly beautiful in the early fall. Would be very happy to return.

For those who can travel to the Cape during the colorful Fall months, it is spectacularly beautiful. It is a quieter visit on the Cape and our location is peaceful, clean, spacious and private. With the leaves changing, even the beaches and ponds "feel" and look different. Every season has its magic ! with different activities fitting Nature's changes here in our special spot! Many restaurants, shops and historic venues are still open and lines are shorter than in the summer months. Temps perfect for sight-seeing and bonfires, s'mores.

Great Cape Week

Loved our stay last week! Property was in a great location, close to both bay and National Seashore beaches. Especially loved the outdoor shower, zoned A/C in bedrooms and open layout. Thanks Jeanne for a great week!

We couldn't agree more! Location , location! The spacious loft like layout is great for family ( and friends) to gather for games, TV, cooking and conversation. Being able to control each bedroom and the living space a/c temps separately keeps everyone smiling! :) We are equally happy that you thoroughly enjoyed your week as we aim to make guest's stay clean, comfortable and hassle free! After a day of exploring the Cape, it IS so nice to come back to a relaxing and wonderful ( unique and comfortable!-now even better with a/c- for those who prefer it) place and that is what we aim to do!

Although we grew up in the 'City' and now live in the Hudson Valley farm country, we LOVE the beach. Pre-kids, we'd visit antique shops on weekends and one time found an antique crab door knocker. We joked that we'd build a beach house for it someday. When the opportunity came to buy this house , we gave the crab a home :) Our children feel that Cape Cod is just as much "home" as where we live most of the time. Though they are grown now, the boys remain well versed in fishing, crabbing, boating, whales, turtles, and Tides...a world very different from the pastures and mountains of NY state. Because it is our second home, you will not feel like it is a rental. We take pride in making it feel like "your home away from home". As a matter of fact, our House was featured on HGTV's National Open House in August 2007. We can't imagine life without our "Nauset Teepee".

North Eastham is convenient to so much of what the Cape has to offer. It is one of the narrowest towns on the Cape. It a short walk to the bay ( 10 min) and a short drive to the ocean (6 min) There is a large freshwater swimming pond, with lifeguards, within walking distance of the house as well. It is home to the famed National Seashore Beach- Coast Guard Beach- and a 5 min drive to the Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary. Nearby are all the places mentioned in the description. It is also the first town on the Cape that my husband and I visited together and fell in love with after a weeklong stay. You can't imagine this unique house in its rare, beautiful setting. We like its less manicured, woodsy feel. You will too, so come and check it out. :)

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our property is private. We sit on a 'Cape Cod acre.' It is quiet and woodsy located down a sandy/grassy lane. ( No Rt. 6 traffic noise) There are other homes nearby but you have a sense of privacy without feeling isolated. I love to garden so there are plantings all over and the deck and upstairs balcony offer nice venues to enjoy the outdoors in comfort. The house has an open loft-like main floor. The ceilings are high and the glass 'walls of windows' allow one to bring the outdoors, indoors. The bay is a short walk (1 mile)) away and the bike trail, restaurants, shops etc are easy to access. I love to cook also so the kitchen has lobster pots, bread maker, all the cook needs to prepare meals if you choose. Children are always welcome and they enjoy the spiral staircase as much as the safe play area all around the house. The kids will be safe so parents can relax.
The backyard is a large open area and there is a private hot/cold shower room there with a lovely beachy garden for dining and BBQ.
