Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Bear Paws. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin itself, though I’m truly sorry for the unexpected encounter with the bears so soon after your arrival. That must have been incredibly stressful, and I appreciate you letting future guests know to stay alert when unloading. The area is very active with wildlife, especially during the summer months, and bears can be surprisingly quick and curious around vehicles. We always encourage guests to keep car doors locked and avoid leaving anything with a scent inside, even briefly. Your note is a helpful reminder of how important that caution can be. I’m grateful you still had a great stay overall and were able to enjoy the cabin despite the excitement. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience. We’d love to welcome you back for a calmer visit in the future.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Bear Paws! We’re thrilled to hear your group had such a great time — and wow, 10–14 bears is quite the unforgettable welcome committee. Your tip about keeping cars completely empty and locked is spot‑on and very appreciated. It’s wonderful that you enjoyed watching the bears stroll by each morning. That’s one of the most magical parts of staying in the Smokies. We’re also glad the cabin had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. While Bear Paws does have a classic mountain‑cabin feel, we’re continually making updates to keep it cozy and enjoyable for our guests. And yes — those winding mountain roads and steep driveways definitely add a bit of adventure to the trip! Thank you for the reminder to future guests to take it slow and stay alert.
