Your biggest decision will be where to watch the sunset, there is a roof top deck, several other decks and balconies and the sandy shoreline of Lake Michigan to choose from! This home also features unobstructed views of the Lake from every floor in the home. This vacation home is located minutes away from all of your favorite things to do.

This castle-like home features 6 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms and 2 half baths. There are 4 levels in this home and every floor has a bathroom and space to play games or just hang out. The master bedroom features a king size bed, private master bathroom, a cozy fireplace and a 2-person jetted tub! For time away from the sun, wind and waves, there is a foosball table and a ping pong table along with games, books and a variety of toys for your family to enjoy. There is also a beautiful Hot Springs Grandee hot tub to relax in ā€“ nestled in the woods with a view of the lake. The Castle is one of 3 homes on a beautiful, private drive that winds through the woods and dunes to the lake. Bordering the property to the north there are also 57 acres of pristine dunes available for hiking and exploring.

While vacationing here you won't want to miss out on the experiences that the beautiful Silver Lake Sand Dunes have to offer! Rent a jeep of your own or head over to Mac Wood's Dune Rides for an adventurous ride on the sand dunes. Stop at Craigā€™s Cruisers in Silver Lake and enjoy a host of activities there as well. Nearby is the Hart-Montague Bicycle Trail that will take you along 22.5 miles of scenic routes. The quaint little town of Pentwater is located just north of the Silver Lake area. Pentwater is the epitome of small-town charm with its shops, food, and ice cream. Don't forget to grab pastries at Cherry Point or the Woodland Market, where they offer homemade donuts and treats daily. For dinner, spend an evening at the Farmhouse Market or the Stony Lake Inn, or grab delicious wings at the Chicken Shack in Silver Lake. Plan on spending a day with your family at Lewis Farms or Michiganā€™s Adventure for unique activities and excitement. Lucky for you, beautiful golf courses are also nearby. All of this is just minutes away and waiting for your family to create lasting memories.ā€‹

Beautiful Lake Front Home

Our family enjoyed the views and beauty of the castle for a week. Although the weather was not always accommodating, we were able to enjoy the spacious rooms, games and puzzles that the owners provided.

Amazing Lake Castle

Very unique property on a beautiful private beach. Quite little town with some nice winerys nearby. Great spot for a large group with camp fires on the dunes and days on an amazing private beach. The views are even better than the pictures from the large back deck. Great host and easy communication.

Sunsets on Lake Michigan

Our family of 13 had a very enjoyable stay at ā€œThe Castle ā€œ. Lots of indoor space for a variety of activities. Kitchen and pantry had everything we needed to feed our crowd. We appreciated all the bathrooms throughout the 4 floors. We also loved the decks, especially the one off the kitchen for dining, grilling or hanging out. The beach was spacious and private, with access to beach chairs, kayaks, and a paddle boardā€¦.which was enjoyed by most of our crew. There were many opportunities to sit and enjoy the amazing sunsets. We hope to return, it was a great time and place for our family gathering.

Clean and Unique Stay

Our extended family enjoyed a lovely week at the Castle on Lake Michigan. Lots of fun things to do in the area. Owners Jack and Judy were outstanding, as they provided lots of details ahead of time regarding what to pack and what was stocked at the rental property. They also stopped by Saturday evening to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any additional questions. The sweeping views of the lake & the sunsets were amazing. Our young kids enjoyed the expansive play areas both inside the castle, on the decks, and at the beach. We could not have asked for anything more as this was a perfect stay on Lake Michigan.

Great house, beach was awesome. Owner provided what we needed. Horse riding, dune exploration, golf. What more could you ask for? Fruitflies were pesky inside but manageable. Perhaps light the walkway to the beach and improve tv connection.

Our stay

We loved the house. We loved the location and the beach. But paying $1000 per night we expected better Wi-Fi and TV service. We were without TV and Wi-Fi half of the time. Otherwise an excellent Vacation.

Everything about this property is unique and special. Our family enjoyed a wonderful time on the beautiful beach of Lake Michigan. We especially enjoyed the beach fires at night. The house is fully furnished and has a spectacular view!

The views from every level of this property maximize the amazing beauty of Lake Michigan and the surrounding dunes. The castle itself is comfortable, open & inviting. FABULOUS GET-AWAY!

If you want to get away from it all and still enjoy all modern conveniences, this is it! Our family of 10 (3 generations) spent a week at the lakefront 'castle' and cherished every minute of it. The location is very private and the beach is wonderful, complete with wooden beach chairs, volleyball net, 2 ocean kayaks, and a firepit which we made use of every evening while watching the sunset (firewood can be purchased nearby). The house itself offers all imaginable comforts and is fully equipped in every respect, including kid's toys, foosball and ping-pong tables, games, even a hidden 'secret room' for the kids to find (which proved to be quite a fun challenge). The home is beautifully maintained and the directions by the owner were easy to follow. We found that the pictures really don't do it justice and were most pleasantly surprised. There is no lack of anything. We enjoyed lots of fun things in the area, dune buggy riding, renting a pontoon boat on Silver Lake, horseback riding, etc. Most of our meals were eaten in except for one dinner at the Applewood Restaurant on the golf course nearby (5 minute drive) which was quite good. This was our first stay on Lake Michigan. Compared to the Atlantic, there is lots to be said for crystal clear water (yes, it's a bit chilly), no debris on the beach, no jelly fish or sharks, no salt water, no tide. Nothing but fine sand, huge dunes, and spectacular sunsets! We loved it! As a footnote, there are lots of steps both inside and out which might be a bit difficult to negotiate for those who are physically challenged. For the rest of us, it was an excuse to double up on dessert. :) A very special thank you to the owners for letting us share this beautiful home.

Weekend Wonderland

We spent an amazing weekend with our Varsity Bowling team and some of the parents! A true bonding experience...played board games, video games, ping pong, watched movies, had a Wii bowling competition, nerf gun wars, and so much more. The (Sand) Castle is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. The architecture is truly unique, including the secret room, and the home still looks like its brand new! It comes with every amenity imaginable. The views of the lake are awe inspiring and the sunsets amazing. We highly recommend this home to anyone considering some time away. The only disappointment was that we eventually had to leave!

Magic at the Castle

We spent a magical week in June at the Castle. Grandma and Grandpa and three families (13 of us in all) had a ball! Our ages ranged from 2 months old to age 60, and the accommodations were perfect for us. Everything was as promised with the exception of no crib, and no pack and play (luckily we brought our own). Otherwise, the facilities, amenities, and setting well exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it, and if you luck out like we did with good weather, you won't be disappointed. There is so much to do in the area, and whether you have teenagers, grade school agers, or oldsters, there is something for everyone. The host family was very helpful, and they have a beautiful home to share. We'll be back!

A TOTALLY EXCELLENT GET AWAY!

Former N.Muskegon residents, moved (reluctantly) to WI..:) , rented property with my sister/family from Lansing and brought son in from San Diego. Property is all it looks like in pictures, and then better even in person! :) Location=magnificent; Property/Amenities/Maintained=excellent; Owners/Communications=excellent & most enjoyable! We would most certainly recommend this property to anyone and everyone! (Except for a 'selfish' side to it that wants to keep this a 'hidden gem') :) There are no words to sufficiently explain the beauty of Lake Michigan if you have not experienced such in person! This spacious, immaculately clean Lake Michigan beach house was the ideal venue for our large family's vacation. The numerous windows and decks overlooking the lake allow for constant encounters with the natural beauty of the property's dunes and sweeping grandeur of Lake Michigan. The house's four levels mean that those who sleep late will not be awoken by those who arise early. Large family meals are easily accommodated by the kitchen island, dining area table, and outside deck. "The Castle" (or "The Magic Kingdom" as one of the neighbors referred to it) can accomodate both those who prefer to spend the day sitting quietly reading and those who want to charge down to the beach for a volleyball game or swim. Everyone seems to gravitate to a favorite spot to enjoy the sunset a day's end. The local area is sleepy but charming. We enjoyed delicious sub sandwiches at the Cottage Cafe at Stoney Lake and the small Stoney Lake store was great for staples (not to mention ice cream.) The fishermen in our group gave high marks to Stoney Lake. The golfers were satisifed with the nearby links. Animal lovers took to the horseback riding at Rainbow Ranch and the Lewis Petting Farm and Market. The only change we would make to the venue would be the addition of a railing on the stairs leading from the beach back up to the house. It feels potentially dangerous without one. Otherwise no complaints whatsoever! We hope to return for another stay.

Highly Recommended

The views are stunning and the home is very comfortable and well-furnished. You can gather a large group together in one area, or there is enough space to spread out and give everyone privacy. It has every amenity you can think of. The only downside was there was no access to the Internet, which they had advertised on the website.
