Home was absolutely as described. Perfectly clean and host communicated well. Kitchen had everything we could have needed. We would definitely stay here again. Loved the hot tub. Home was so close to many restaurants and shops. Great weekend away celebrating our anniversary.

I travel a lot and this is the most well stocked place I ever seen! Forgot q-tips, in the bathroom. Forgot ponytail holders- they’re there! The kitchen had EVERYTHING! Coffee grinder AND coffee, cappuccino machine, coffee and tea things I’ve never seen! Rugs everywhere you would need them for wet shoes, dripping from the hot tub, everywhere. The owner is very responsive & friendly. If you’re staying in this area and the size of this house fits your needs, I highly recommend it.

This was a very clean, cozy, comfortable home. Bed was super comfortable. Jeff put a lot of thought into little details. We didn’t cook but the kitchen was extremely well organized and stocked with more than just the basics, also an impressive array of spices!

Just an awesome place. Only stayed one night but was impressed with the extremely well stocked kitchen, surround sound TV, rolling dog gate for the deck, etc, etc. Definite 5 stars.Small issue with how VRBO did the pet fee for the listing but great communication from Jeff.

Perfect stay for a relaxing work trip getaway. Location was amazing. Close to town with places to eat, shop, and walk. House was as described and had all the amenities we needed, then some. Communication with host was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if in the area. Thank you!

The home was perfect for our stay in Hallowell. The town is lovely and has hikes, lakes, bakeries, great restaurants and breweries nearby. Other areas of Maine are a convenient drive away.The home is clean and very well-stocked. The host, Jeff, communicated well and made sure everything we needed was provided. He has a welcome book with helpful information on the house and the area. Jeff also labeled cabinets and drawers so that we could find things easily. We had our dog with us and everything was available for him, as well- even dog toys, bowls, and a drawer with treats!

A great stay in Hallowell

This is certainly the best appointed house I have ever stayed in. The host has gone out of his way to provide virtually everything you need. There are two coffee makers, a coffee grinder and a tea kettle with tea and coffee provided. The kitchen has everything you might need. There is a washer and dryer in the basement with detergent provided. The driveway has a turn around so you don't have to back onto the street. There is a grill and a lobster pot on the deck. There is soap and shampoo in the bathroom. There is a hot tub and a sauna! The house is spotlessly clean. The wifi is strong. There is a desk, chair, and monitor for your laptop. There is an Eams chair in the living room. The beds are comfortable. The AC works great. It is less than a five-minute drive to the center of town with restaurants, shops, etc.It is a fabulous place to stay.

Loved it!

Hilltop is a lovely old house with all the mod cons. We stayed there with our two small dogs and were able to let them run around on the large deck because of the ingenius rolling gate the owner had installed. Living room seating is generous and comfortable with two couches and a large TV. The beds were comfortable with good reading lights. The house is spotlessly clean with ample supplies of paper products, shampoo, hand soap, etc. The kitchen is well stocked - especially the drawer with every spice known to man. My only complaint is that there is no walkway to the backdoor main entry so you have to walk through uneven grass to reach the steps. It's a wonderful place to stay. Hallowell is a lovely old town with excellent restaurants.

Nice Property

I stayed at Jeff's place while in town for work. The house was great an had some bonus amenities like the sauna which was available for use. I was really only there to sleep and shower but the kitchen and living areas both seemed to have anything youd' expect. Unlink most short-term rentals, this one definitely felt "lived in" and there were some obvious DIY upgrades. Overall, the property was a cozy and a good place to stay. I would have no issues staying at this property again.

This home is a "Work in progress"

This home was clean and comfortable. The host was welcoming and quick to respond. The home still needs some work, as it is an old house. It needs a washer/dryer on the main level. The basement steps that led to the washer/dryer had dirty carpet. Going downstairs was scary. It was not accomodating for seniors. Outside, there was no paved or gravel walkway from driveway to the steps/ entrance in the back. No handicap access at all. Rather steep steps up to back door entrace. Some blunds were easy to open and close. Others were not. House was clean.

One night was not enough

My partner and I had a wedding and didn’t want to drive the almost 3 hours home. This was probably one of the nicest houses we stayed in. I definitely want to come back and explore the cute little town that’s right down the street. I also didn’t really get a chance to use the hot tub or one-person sauna. The house was very homey, and the pictures of this house really do it no justice. Jeff was easy to communicate with and was able to accommodate my request to check in early. He left a personalized note on the fridge, which was a nice touch. The only complaint I have is that I didn't stay longer.
