The perfect mix of historic character and modern convenience. We all looked through the photo album and it was hard to believe the before photos were the same house. All the rooms were spacious and beautifully designed. We felt at home relaxing and visiting in the living room and kitchen. We want to find an excuse to visit the area just so we can stay in the house again.

We came to Carrollton for my momā€™s funeral. Most of our extended family chose to stay at a hotel. This lovely home was what our family needed in our time of grief. It has every amenity you could ask for! My kids played board games with their cousins until late in the night in the large kitchen table. I really appreciated the extra towels and linens available to our needs. Mahalo for your warm hospitality!

The house instantly feels like a home. We loved sitting in the front porch under the pecan tree. The renovation to this 1862 year old home was seamless in maintaining the feel of its time period. Extremely comfortable with comfortable seating in living room. Loved the bathrooms! The location was perfect to picking up dinner. We will be back.

Looking for a Lifestyle

We could not have asked for a more quaint place to relax after exploring the local area. The porch was a fantastic place to unwind and we enjoyed all of the amenities packed into this historic rental. The property is a piece of Carrolltonā€™s history, was clean and exactly as advertised. Cozy home in Carrollton

Everything was just as pictured and described. We were in town to visit family who live in the area. The house was very comfortable and clean. They had everything we needed and lots of nice extra touches. We will definitely stay here when we are in the area again.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive. The home is absolutely lovely. It was so clean. The decor was fabulous and the little touches like a stocked coffee station, toiletries in the showers and hair tools in the bathroom were most appreciated! The beds were very comfortable. Our stay was perfect! the host was incredibly easy to work with. The house was exceptionally clean (and I'm someone who looks in corners under beds and in the creases of mattresses). The house was stocked with all the things I would expect to have at my own home. It was really a home away from home. Our family will gladly stay again when we are in town.

Quick trip

We were in Carolllton for a football camp at the high school. The house was perfect. Very clean and well stocked, beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. The location was fantastic - you can walk most places, like the square, in just a few minutes. It was just a short easy drive to anything else. The host left some great recommendations - we strongly echo her recommendation of Brown Dog for food. We lived Gallery Tow for coffee. Again, all walkable! Would highly recommend.

Charming, warm, and inviting!

It's hard to summarize just how incredible our stay at Ella 1862 was for my wife and me. The host is incredibly responsive and helpful. And the property... there are not enough adjectives that can be applied. I'll start with charming, warm, and inviting! The owners have really showed their love for this home in their restoration and you see it the moment you drive up, but once you open the door you feel it. It feels as if you've walked into a family member's home that you've entered countless times. It's very well appointed for anything you will need during your stay. And so incredibly beautiful! As beautiful as the pictures are online, they fall far from giving you the complete picture! I honestly can say, the pictures do not do it justice! If you are visiting Carrollton for any reason please give Ella 1862 a chance to impress you as much as it did us! I promise you will not be disappointed!
