Relax at our beautiful deep-water oasis in Hernando Beach, Florida with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy coffee on the porch watching the dolphins play in the cove, fish off the dock or take your boat out (or rent one) to the flats, then come back to watch the vibrant sunsets from the backyard. Kayaking, biking, boating, fishing, sight-seeing, or doing absolutely nothing but enjoy nature - we have it all.

Accommodations: We can host up to 6 guests. The home has two bedrooms - one with a king size bed and a second bedroom with two queen sized beds. One large bathroom with a tub/shower. Fans in all rooms, coffee bar, large screen cable TV, laundry facilities, air-conditioning, and full kitchen.

Trailer and RV Accommodation: We offer parking for RVs and trailers, which is convenient for travelers with larger vehicles. However, it's important to note that there are no utility hook-ups for RVs.

Age Restrictions: The property is not suitable for smaller children due to the open seawall and 5' drop to the water depending on the tides. Guests aged 12 and up are welcome, as long as their parents are diligent in ensuring their safety. Your comfort and safety is our primary priority as hosts.

Check In/Out: Check in time is at 3:00 PM via a front door keypad code. Check out time is 11:00AM. Clear instructions are provided for a convenient arrival and departure.

We have many options in the area for recreation and dining. We will share recommendations based on your preferences.

We have established some rules to maintain a pleasant and safe environment for all guests:

- No smoking in the house or porch, with a $500 deep cleaning fee for rule breakers.
- No pets are allowed.
- Only registered guests are permitted.
- No parties, as the property is located in a residential neighborhood.
- Bedroom windows should remain closed due to keeping the biting no-see-ums out of the house. Porch doors may be open as special screens have been installed to keep the nasty buggers out! Please turn off the air-conditioner if you keep doors open.

These rules are essential for maintaining a peaceful and safe atmosphere for our guests and neighbors.

This is a residential neighborhood and we request you respect the neighbors by keeping the noise down after 9:00 PM

Bedroom windows must remain closed and locked due to no-see-um bugs (yup - you cannot see them!) who enter at dusk and bite. The porch doors are OK.

The dock and seawall is open and the drop from the seawall to the water is 5' at low tide. It can be dangerous and you must sign a release to stay.

Relaxing stay with dolphin watching

The Blue Dolphin is a comfortable vacation rental and a good location to experience all that Hernando Beach has to offer. The house sits on the widest part of the canal which is the perfect spot to watch the dolphins cruise the water. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. There is a dock with a pedal boat and two kayaks. There were bicycles also. The owner was communicative and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

A perfect winter escape

We could not have been more pleased with this vacation home. The bright, airy spaces with a wide open view of the canal, beautiful sunsets, and the ever changing shenanigans of the pelicans, cormorants, egrets, and dolphins were a delight. Our lovely decorated and comfortable surroundings also included so many extra amenities! My husband and I enjoyed the paddleboat, kayaks, bicycles, games and puzzles that were provided. The location was less than ten minutes from at least nine establishments with the best seafood, sandwiches, bbq, Italian food and even an upscale Spanish/Italian restaurant. Many of these had seating waterside where you were invited to feed the turtles in the canals! The home is located a short distance from a nature preserve with walking and bike trails where my husband spent many happy hours. Our host was wonderfully accommodating and made sure we felt at home in our home away from home. It was the break we needed from the gray, cold month of February in the mountains.

The Blue Dolphin is situated on the last cove before the Gulf the direct view of the Gulf. I love it because it is protected from the surprise storms and surges - plus the dolphins fish here daily. We have great blue heron, fish of all kinds, kayakers, boaters, and paddleboarders. It is a quiet spot for relaxing and enjoying the water.
