Relax with the whole family at this beautiful house on Douglas Lake. House has just finished a complete renovation. House is on 3 acres with private lake access with a boat dock and swim platform directly on the lake. Hot Tub, Upper Deck/Porch, and fire ring overlooking the lake. Public boat launch less than a mile away. Rent boats at the nearby marina. 30 minutes from Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and Gaitlinburg. Pets allowed with pet fee.

We had a great stay with our 4 teens/adults! House is great, porch is amazing and it was a great relaxing getaway for our family.

We really enjoyed this home and all its amenities! Beautifully decorated, beautiful lake views, easy access, close to town and close to our son’s fishing tournament location. Porch sitting over looking the lake was excellent. Didn’t use the hot tub but looked nice and clean. Plenty of room, beds comfy, grocery store within 5 minutes. Everyone we met in the area was super helpful and nice, would definitely return and stay here again

Douglas Lake

We were looking for a property that was close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but far enough away to remove us from the crowds and traffic. This filled the bill. We visited over the Thanksgiving holiday with our grandchildren and very much enjoyed this lovely property and its unique lake setting. The house is clean and comfortable, the furnishings and amenities were great and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect and private. Coupled with the great communication with the owners, we left very pleased.

Fishing trip

Your listing is on the lake with boat dock, but we were unable to hook up our boat due to owners boat being present. One of the reasons I got this house was due to the boat dock on lake. It should state boat dock not available. Also swim ladder is broken, ants in the house. Also the outside needs some attention. The porch area needs a deep clean, lawn needs to be mowed. The inside was nice but when you clean, base boards should be done intermittently. Not enough room up top for truck and boat by the way

I’m sorry you did not have a 5 star stay. The boat dock is available to guests and typically guests dock their boat on either side of the dock. We have had 3 boats there in the past so there is plenty of room on the dock. Guests typically park their truck and trailer at the top of the hill in the large gravel area. There is plenty of room to park and turn around a truck and trailer. Had you let us know we could have suggested solutions. We will have the swim ladder repaired and the base boards cleaned Thank you for letting us know.

Do not recommend

One of the poorest cleaned establishments I have ever stayed. Piles of pet hair in corners and drawers. Smeared ice cream on furniture tops and walls. Trash on the property and waterfront. I don’t go on vacation with the intention of cleaning, but that’s what I did before I was comfort in several rooms. Also, if there are rugs in a home with this much pet hair, a vacuum should be available. Some of the people in the house had to double their allergy meds just from sitting on the couch.

Had issues called and left message no response

was not happy with the rental. driveway was very step was not aware of this. Called the person that we rented from with no response. This could have been fixed but no one called us back. Was not cleaned we cleaned it.

I’m sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at the lake house. If you had mentioned any issue we could have addressed them prior to your check-in. We exchanged several messages on the platform when you arrived regarding the thermostat and other questions. I even offered to come to the house to assist with the thermostat if necessary. I was always responsive immediately via the app which is our preferred means of communication with guests. The welcome message that you received mentions the driveway is a bit steep at the top. Again, if this was an issue it should have been addressed on check-in. The house was professionally cleaned prior to your stay and I checked it myself the morning of check-in. This is the first time I have heard of a cleaning issue.
