Great spot with lots of room for a big crew. Coloring books and crayons for littles were a big plus! Great proximity to food and activities in the Chester area.

We booked this for a long weekend with another family. The place was clean and comfortable. The host was very flexible and allowed us to checkin early and leave a bit late. Beds were very comfortable and the zacuzzi was great! Home had all amenities to make it a comfortable stay. Will definitely recommend and stay again if possible.

This home is spacious, beds are super comfortable and nice and clean! Also, one amazing touch was plenty of games and coloring books/crayons that kept our kids busy. Also-great pizza place that is super close by. Recommend!

Our Stay was outstanding. 20 minutes from Okemo! Hot Tub was excellent; the beds were super comfortable, and Colin's food recommendations were spot on. I will be coming to this house again next year!

Great stay for a ski weekend at Okemo. Colin was a very responsive host and the house was clean with a well stocked kitchen for cooking. The hot tub was well maintained and great after a day on the mountain.

We had a wonderful time staying here, and Colin was a fantastic host! Everything was just as we would have expected, hot tub got nice and hot, lots of available wood for us to burn, and a really wonderfully cozy and comfortable home to stay in. Entertainment on the tv was easy to manage, and the cookware was in great condition, and had lots of options to make meals for our larger group. Will definitely look into staying here in the future! Thanks Colin!

None of the cleaning was done prior to our arrival. There was trash leftover from the previous guests, things were untidy, vacuuming and dusting had not been done, nor were the bathtubs cleaned. There were minimal to no supplies provided...paper goods (toilet paper, kleenex, napkins, cleaning supplies, hand soap in the bathrooms). The sugar for the coffee bar was hard. We had to purchase these items ourselves and clean the tubs prior to use. We left the property better than we found it. There were also safety issues: a door stop placed on the floor near the main door is a tripping hazard. A different type door stop can be placed on the wall or the door itself. There were no rear outdoor lights for the area leading down the steps to the hot tub. Although these items and concerns were provided to the owner previous to this rating, his response was that the cleaning team didn't have time, although there was a 4-hour period between check-out and our check-in at 3:00.

We had a great (but short!) stay at the Farmhouse. We used this as our base to tour colleges in the greater area, and we wish we had more time to enjoy the home. It was great to be able to soak in the hot tub, cook dinner, and relax after days of walking and driving.The home had lots of charm, and our family of 4 enjoyed it greatly. Colin, the host, was amazing to work with - very proactive in communication, and the home was exactly as described. Internet was fast, smart tv was great, and kitchen had all we needed to cook meals.

Brought my mom here for leaf peeping. The Farmhouse was clean, comfortable and very inviting. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. Soaking in the hot tub & stargazing in the evening was wonderful! Owner was easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely terrific spot!!

This was a lovely inviting piece of history to stay in! The amenities were wonderful, the host very engaged with being sure we had what we needed. It is (for those who may not know Vermont) SUPER close to all sorts of hiking, tours, cute stores and great food! Our family will absolutely stay here again!

What a fantastic antique home!

I even called my mom on Facetime to give her a tour - she grew up in a farmhouse <3 - We left and I wished we could have stayed longer. There's something special to staying in an older home. We will probably be back!

Great communication and beds

Spacious and lovely house with excellent host communications. Most impressive were the high quality mattresses and bedding on all of the beds - so often, beds in rentals are terrible. We ALL slept so well. The hot tub was well maintained and in great shape and we used it almost nightly. The kitchen had all the basics, and excellent pots and pans, but we spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and would have loved more cooking implements and supplies. But good enough! It was nice to have rooms with AC and also ones with just openable windows and fans - everyone got their preferred temperature control. My only sadness is that we didn't have time to enjoy a fire outside or play the many rounds of ping pong we had hoped to. Thank you, Colin!.

Bonnes Vacances a Tous!

I booked this farmhouse for my family and my brothers family to stay here for a few days in July. I drove up from SC and he drove up from NY to visit our parents who live in Grafton. Check-in was very easy. The door has a keypad and we were given the code prior to arrival. Honestly, the house is huge. It was built in the 1800's and I loved the small town country feel to it. It's been updated with a lot of modern amenities, but still had that older feel to it, especially in the wood. We had two teenagers and a three year old staying with us, and they all had fun things to do while we were in the house. Ping Pong, Jacuzzi, games, puzzles, coloring books, and of course, the TV with Roku. Some rooms have an AC while others have fans. We stayed comfortable each night. Communication with the host was quick and easy, whether by text or in the VRBO app. He was quick to respond when small issues arose. The jacuzzi locked in French and since none of us knew French, we needed help with unlocking it so we could translate it back to English. Easy! We didn't have a fire in the backyard firepit, but we could easily have done so with all the firewood that was available to us. The weather was just too warm to justify a campfire. Overall, this was a great experience, lovely location, and a home that I'd stay in over and over again.

The 150 year old Farmhouse was a perfect place to gather for a family weekend. We enjoyed gathering around the dining room table for meals and playing games. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family in Chester
