The cabin has been fully remodeled top to bottom including bathrooms, slate tile floors & marble countertops. Gather around the kitchen table or bar that opens up to the vaulted family room, centered around a wood-burning fireplace. After a day of ATV rides, skiing, fishing or trail explorations, dine under a canopy of trees & string lights followed by s’mores around the fire pit.

Each bedroom has incredible views of the Rocky Mountains & the rippling Red River. This mountain cabin vacation rental features 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 living areas, bunk room, gameroom, laundry room, 3 covered parking areas & over 200’ of river front.

The main level of the 3 story cabin offers 2 generously sized bedrooms & a bathroom, kitchen & spacious den. The master room has a king bed & a day bed, down the hall is another large bedroom room with a queen sized bed. The upper level level includes 2 bedrooms with queen beds & a full bathroom. The lower level offers a bunk room that includes a twin over queen bunk bed, a trundle bed & a queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress. Large TV’s are located on the lower & main floors.

Savor sunsets from the back porch or enjoy a peaceful time fishing on acreage of the park-like grounds. The cabin is accessible year-round as it receives an abundance of natural sunlight, and is on the same plane as the river. The edge of the Carson National Forest is a 5 minute walk down the road. Here you will find endless walking trails that follow the river for miles & more fly fishing opportunities.

There is no Satellite TV. However, you can bring your Netflix, Hulu and other logins to enjoy live streaming access to movies and more! Clean linens provided, as well as an initial supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, toiletries & dish washing liquid. A washer and dryer are provided for your convenience. Laundry detergent is not provided.

There is no air conditioning in the cabin because it doesn't need it. Due to its elevation, the hottest it gets in Red River, New Mexico is 76ºF mean average high during the month of July.

While the roads around "Peace Like a River" are maintained, we recommend using a 4 wheel drive vehicle because of the mountain terrain in Red River, New Mexico. Winter conditions vary and can change rapidly. During times of inclimate weather there is an upper parking area where you can park your car without going down our sloped driveway.

When arriving, you are immediately greeted by the picture-perfect front yard with the river gently rolling by. Up a short set of stairs you’ll find the massive deck that offers space for BBQ’s, games & family gatherings. Crackling fires, s’mores, and cherished moments await at Peace Like a River family cabin. The river is running & you must catch it!

As an optional amenity for your comfort and enjoyment is a 6-person hot tub. For an additional one-time fee of $395 we can have the hot tub up to temperature with bristling clean water for you. At least 48 hours of prior notice is needed to give us time to contact the hot tub company to service the hot tub before your arrival.
