Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was nice- minor updates needed like rug in living room and water pressure in kitchen and bathrooms.After working 12-14 hour days we look forward to resting on the Beach, Sanible Moorings get's an "F" on providing chairs and umbrellas. The property managers always thought it was to windy, a storm might come up, or any other excuse to not provide this very important amenity. Resort on either side provided their guest with chairs and or umbrella's.In the past we have visited the Mooring both spring and Fall and each visit find the Moorings getting worse as far a beach access

The condo was very nicely decorated and updated, we especially liked the kitchen! The area was quiet and the landscaping was very pretty and well maintained; 5 minute walk to beach. Pools were very nice. Our only concern was the 2nd bedroom mattresses, my kids felt they were uncomfortable. We would definitely recommend Sanibel Mooring and will come back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This pictures donā€™t do it justice! Absolutely gorgeous! Completely updated and stocked. The kitchen was a full kitchen which can be hard to find as a rental on the island. King bed was comfortably firm. The twin beds would be great for kids- not so much do an adult. I am a clean freak and this place was clean! The lanai was great with comfortable table and chairs, and it was big enough to also store 2 bikes. I took my parents for their first time to Sanibel. Would definitely stay here again if not traveling with our dogs.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We spent 6 nights in a 2 bed/ 2 bath condo. This was our 7th stay at this property. I would say this condo was the least favorite of the units we've stayed in. The kitchen/ dining layout was awkward with a large glass table that blocked access to the fridge. The living area furnishings looked quite tired, with the sofa being pretty dingy with stains. The carpet in the bedrooms was too thick to easily close the doors. The first bathroom needs updating- the tub did not fully drain and it was clear it was a retrofit. The overall space feels quite cramped with the toilet too close to the vanity and the bathtub fittings leaking when off, the shower leaking from the tap while on. The single mattress was quite uncomfortable and could use an upgrade. The cleaning before we arrived was not great- there was debris left on the counter and sugar ants present on all the kitchen counters. The dishes in the cabinets did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival; there was food debris on silverware and in the white bowls. On our last night the air conditioning stopped working, which led to a hot night. Overall, the air did not work great in the bedrooms as even when we put in on 70 degrees the bedroom remained hot at night, possibly due to the thick carpet and tiny air vent above the door. While we were staying, new mulch was put down on the property and the stench was overwhelming; it literally smelled like a dead body for several days. It was worse during the day when the sun was out. Also, on the beach- while (very rusty) umbrellas were put up daily, chairs were not taken out to the beach. In past years, chairs were also placed under umbrellas and this service was missed. I'm sure we'll stay at this property again but we will definitely not be staying in this unit. We've had much better stays in the past in more updated units- and yes, one of those stays was during the pandemic in June 2020.

This is a beautiful complex. The staff is excellent! If you seek complete quiet stay on the canal sideā€¦the beach is just a toss the street. I will stay here again!

Great for families!

We loved our stay at Sanibel Moorings. Stayed with our kids ages 6-11 and it was perfect. The kids loved the pool, and the beach is so close and easy to get to. A great location and beautiful grounds! We would definitely return!

Cockroaches in the unit

Renters beware, while the property grounds were nice, the unit itself has some serious issues. Sanibel Moorings is charging guests an additional cleaning fee for COVID protocol. However, the place was not very clean as youā€™d expect, had dust build up on lamps, ceiling fans, fake plants, base boards, and dried boogers in the smaller guest bath. As if that was not enough, there was also a cockroach problem in the main master bathroom, which made the room unusable for the entire trip. The staff was immediately alerted of the issue, in which they sounded surprised and said they would send out an exterminator. An exterminator did come in to resolve this issue, and the room smelled of foul chemicals which we were told were safe for humans. Either way, we did not use the room due to the cockroachā€™s problem, which was still active upon departure ā€“ alive & dead ones in the room. On top of that ā€“ you as a guest as charged an amenity fee, for most amenities that are closed. We booked this placed via VRBO because it listed use of things like paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, etc. However, due to COVID those are not available, but you still paid for them. We were also told the beach equipment would be cleaned daily, and it was not. No one should have to deal with a horrific experience on top of lack of amenities that you are paying for. The lack of communication or empathy from the property manager was most disappointing. They claimed to have called our room, but the caller ID proved otherwise. It was not until we called again for update that we finally spoke with the manager, who left us feeling like we inconvenienced them and were costing them money. Overall, I would not recommend this unit nor property due to issues above.

Great property

Great experience. Loved the location and the property. Lots of things to do all within a close walk. Only negative is that there was no kayaks or canoes. This was advertised but was not available. The only things available were the paddleboards (extra charge). The office staff gave us a hard time for asking for towels.

Great vacation spot

Loved Sanibel Moorings! The property we stayed in was just what we needed for our family. The canal on the one side was very relaxing to go sit at, and the beach was not too far away to get to for us (about a 2-minute walk). Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Beach getaway with Friends

The grounds, amenities and condo were all beautiful, well-kept and clean. The pictures accurately showed what we experienced, and we enjoyed the short walk to the beach. Having beach umbrellas and lounge chairs ready for use on the beach was a plus. Nicely landscaped, fully stocked kitchen, linens and towels supplied, comfortable beds and furniture. The screened porch was a favorite for morning coffee and evening relaxation.

Love this condo and location!

We had a perfect getaway vacation! Condo was super clean. Beautiful kitchen! Everything we needed was ready to go! Walking distance to beach and canal where my husband was able to fish! Definately a repeat for us!!!

Clean, safe and convenient

I travelled to Sanibel with my children looking for a safe place to enjoy the outdoors and this experience hit the mark across the board. The unit was very clean and well situated to the beach. My only complaint was that it wasn't available for my next trip.
