Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The sound in the TV in the living room was NOT GOOD. We reported it to the office; nothing was done. Don't know if it's the TV itself or what, but all 4 of us in the unit had a hard time understanding what was said on it.

Sanibel Moorings has recovered from Ian!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While there is still recovery construction happening during the day, we had a wonderful stay at Sanibel Moorings. The swimming pool and beach were fabulous. Our second floor unit was partly renovated with new furniture and of course the location near the causeway and lighthouse is perfect!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love Sanibel - it's my happy place, and while I was so glad to be back for the first time since Ian, and I can appreciate that Sanibel Moorings is still a work in progress, I was disappointed with the unit we rented and the customer service we recieved while we were there. The carpets were stained, which I can overlook. The furniture was stained, which was just plain gross. We didn't even want to sit on it. The couch, especially, looked like it had urine or vomit stains and even the dining room chairs were gross. The absence of beach umbrellas was a big inconvenience. I would put that at the top of the list of amenities to get going again asap. The fold up beach chairs were great, we actually preferred them to the old ones. But there were 2 adults and 3 kids in our party and two chairs per unit was inadequate and we were forced to rent expensive ones so we could each have one. If amenities like these aren't available, a discount should be given. And the last issue with our stay was the way we were treated by the staff. Andi & Bill were just plain grumpy & rude. No smiles when checking in, short with me when I asked about towels, and just made us feel like were weren't even wanted. Until things improve, I would not recommend The Moorings to anyone.

April stay at Sanibel Moorings - not a "Tropical Garden View"

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The beach is beautiful, although the beach furniture is 2 chairs (non-reclining) and no umbrellas are provided as prior to the hurricane. The property itself is still a construction zone, lots of trucks, deliveries, and activity. Guests in the second floor units, construction in the first floor units. Our unit was outdated and some of the furnishings were not in good shape. Mattress was uncomfortable, upholstery was stained, not clean. Landscaping is very sparse, you will be looking at a lot of mulch and not much in the way of grass/plants. It is going to take a long time to restore the grounds. The staff is as helpful as always! Many of the restaurants have re-opened and are not busy (in April) - try Wickies near the lighthouse beach. Internet access is through Starlink, you may need to re-start frequently but otherwise OK. Our unit had cable TV. You can enjoy your stay there, but it best to know in advance that you won't have the Sanibel Moorings experience you had pre-Hurricane Ian. I would have preferred to know PRIOR to booking more about the actual conditions.

It’s a combination of a beautiful beach and a majestic garden. Oh and don’t forget the pools! Packs some cute outfits for some incredible photos. And feel free to bring some meats as they have an excellent grill area.

Our unit, 1032, was clean, comfortable and attractive (perhaps recently updated?). Everything worked. Great amenities - gardens, tennis/pickleball, complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas. Staff was friendly, efficient. On the way out we reserved for next year.

Moorings is the place to be

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved it. We had a great time. Good place for kids, but plenty of space to be away from kids. We stayed in 1032, did a marine biology walk, got bikes to get around the island, went to the book stores, Lighthouse Cafe, Dante's, Gramma Dots, Island Cow, The Ding Darling, lighthouse, and fishing on the canal.

Great place to stay on Sanibel.

Great place to stay on Sanibel. Condo was clean, well maintained, and well furnished. Grounds are literally a tropical botanical garden! Only issue was the king mattress has deep depressions and should be replaced.

Sanibel Moorings

We recently stayed at Sanibel Moorings. It is a beautiful property, surrounded by well maintained gardens containing a variety of unusual and beautiful tropical plants. Our condo was very spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it as a relaxing place to stay on Sanibel Island.

Perfect family vacation

Perfect location! Right on the gulf. Close to restaurants and shops. Staff friendly and accommodating. Clean. The grounds are beautiful. We will be back!

Sanibel long weekend

Great time on property at Sanibel Moorings. Front desk staff was excellent, check in/out were a breeze. We rented Billy's Bikes directly from location (instead of needing to drive to their rental shop). Pools were clean, plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. Neighbors friendly and quiet at night. Our dog enjoyed being on the beach! Unit was on the gulf side which was very convenient. Only negative was the couch in the unit was stained, time for a new one.

Great family location

We loved our stay at Sanibel Moorings. The condo was the perfect size, the kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, utensils, etc. Our only suggestions are to clean or replace the sofa - several stains, and replace the master bed mattress - it is caving in and too soft. Otherwise, the space was clean and nice for a short-term getaway. We travelled with two teens and they enjoyed the location and offerings. Very nice for a family vacation.

Sanibel celebration

Our family of 4 came to Sanibel to relax and celebrate our daughter's college graduation- it was a lovely trip- Sanibel never disappoints! The condo was quite comfortable and we appreciated being able to bring our dog. We would gladly return / just could use more hooks and hangars / and perhaps a dustpan- it is sandy here 😀 The staff was quite helpful And friendly
