Sit back and relax. Your mountain adventure is about to begin! The Aspen West Townhouse Complex is home to several Red Riverites and is a great location for anyone eager to see it all. Located near the east end of town, this townhouse is still close to it all. Within walking distance to entertainment, shopping, restaurants, nature trail, and fishing, this townhouse can sleep from 4 to 14. The interlocking door allows you to rent just the efficiency (ground level): Queen bed, Twin w/ trundle, 1 bath, and full kitchen OR just the top remaining 3 levels: 3 bedrooms with Queen, Queen, 4 Twins, Queen Sleeper, 2 baths, full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace and wash/dryer OR take BOTH!!! Renting both units gets you enough sleeping arrangements for 14 with access to all 4 levels. All 4 levels provide you with 2 entrances: one to the efficiency and one to the upper 3 levels with an interlocking door joining both units. Don't miss out on the balcony on the 3rd level (this level is the common area consisting of a full kitchen, 1 bath, living and dining area.) Sit out on the balcony and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa in the cool mountain air! You may be lucky enough to watch a bear stroll by in the early morning. Both of these units provide free WiFi for guests to enjoy during their stay. Not sure of what fun you can expect while visiting Red River? Visit the Community House: free to all who visit! They provide over 400 free activities throughout the summer months. Things like group hiking, smores', line dancing, movies in the mountains, and "Chill". OR visit the Visitor Center for an array of literature about hiking trails, ATV trails, dining options, nearby sights to see, and more. AND don't forget to include chairlift rides and mountain-side tubing during the summer months, as well as Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowmobiling, and Snow Cat Tours during the winter months... Way too much to list; just come and see!!!! Red River is such a majestic place. Although it is small--only one mile long and 3 blocks wide -- this place is huge with heart. This is one place you'll always feel at home! That's why folks have been coming here for 30 years, bringing their children and grandchildren in a long-standing family tradition. $75 per pet/2 pet max, charged separately by the property management company after booking.

Great location but that's about it

This unit is outdated, beds are old, thermostats and cable didn't work, and the kitchen was not well stocked. However, we had a group of 17 year old boys so they didn't seem to mind! The management company was easy to deal with, but looking at the review before our stay, it seems the cable was not working then so it's a little surprising that the management company acted like they didn't know about the problem?! In the past, we have stayed at a different unit in Aspen West and had a great experience. So if we return, we will try to get back in that unit since the location is perfect. If we can't get into another unit, we will keep looking. Unit 4 was not good for us!

Good Location, that’s about it.

Location was good. Units were dirty, outdated, misrepresented, and just worn out. I’m not hard to please and don’t have to stay at the nicest place, I travel to enjoy the destination, but this rental needs some help. Beds are worn out, no basic cooking supplies such as pots/pans, TV’s did not work, and the thermostat was not working. For the price of these units I would look elsewhere.

Great place with a ton of room. Exactly as advertised.

Enjoyed the space that this property offered. Plenty of room for our team of 8 athletes. Located in the middle of town and worked perfect for us.

Convienent location

The property was sufficient for our stay; however, it was less stocked with kitchen supplies than other places we have stayed. There was a lot of space for our family, but the property was very dated (carpet needs cleaned) and had some plumbing issues. Not the best place to stay if you need trailer parking. One of the best things about this property was its proximity to local attractions. Everything was within walking distance and the reality company in charge of the property was very friendly.

Aspen West

Aspen West is a versatile and comfortable town home. It is easily accessible to town, ski lift, and hiking trails. With four twin beds in the loft, two bedrooms and an efficiency apartment on the ground level, it will accommodate most traveler's needs. The unit is very clean and is nicely decorated in a southwestern theme. There are restaurants close by, but if you are in the mood for cooking, the kitchen is well stocked. On a previous stay, we were on the balcony early in the morning and a bear casually walked by. The people who manage the property were friendly and helpful. When we return to Red River, we will once again stay at Aspen West again.

Condo review

We had a wonderful time staying at Aspen West. It is located in town where one can walk to any of the stores, ski area, or restaurants. There is even a hidden auto mechanics shop across the street in case of emergency. This unit is so flexible and can sleep many people with two bedrooms on the second floor, a couch that makes into a bed on the third floor, a loft with twin beds, and an optional efficiency apartment on the main floor. It is nicely furnished and decorated. The owner put a lot of thought into the decor that gives each room its own personality. It has just been newly painted and carpeted. I think that we were the first people to get to stay in it after the face lift. It was nice to have use of a washer and dryer too. The owner has the kitchen fully stocked with dishes and pots and pans. We used the slow cooker a lot to cook our evening meal. Staying at this town house makes one feel like they are in the mountains. It is located right across the street from a hiking path that one can take to view the wild flowers. It is perfect for a vacation get away from the big city.

I love to travel and see the world, but when it gets really hot in Texas, it is time to go to the mountains. Although I have visited all 7 continents, there is something about Red River that has captured my imagination. Perhaps it is the friendly town. Perhaps the cool mountain air and stunning views. Perhaps it is my encounters with wildlife: deer, elk, bear, wild turkey, squirrels, birds, you name it. Perhaps it is finding out that my great great grandfather visited here during the mining heyday and invested in the community. Perhaps it is the wealth of history and the charm of an old mining town that has reinvented itself. Now that I'm retired, I like to bring my 3 dogs for a month in the summer where we hike together and explore together in my 4WD. I find the peaceful atmosphere conducive to writing the book I'm working on. I hope you will enjoy my townhouses as much as I've enjoyed decorating them and sharing them with other travelers.

A friend invited me to visit her townhouse when I was going through a tough period in my life. I fell in love with the friendly town, the wildlife, the mountains and cool summer weather. Since it is only 10 hours from my home, I decided it was time to buy a place and explore further. Every time I come, I find something new to see or do. I recently found out about my great great grandfather's experience here by buying an old newspaper in one of the gift shops. I suppose I have a genetic connection to this place!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Words cannot adequately describe the feeling of sitting on the balcony with a cup of hot chocolate, watching the sun turn the mountains from gray to pink to glowing red. For the early riser, one might see bears wandering through the nearby creek on their way to the river or deer munching on the bushes. On the other hand, if you are a nightlife person, the two local bars provide great live music and are a short two blocks away.
