This wonderful high-end luxury home is situated on the beautiful Salmon Meadow Cove on Lake Winnipesaukee.  This location offers a serene cove, safe natural sand beach, great swimming, 40' dock and absolutely amazing sunsets.  

Designed specifically for multi-generational family getaways. Ideally suited for up to 14 guests, who will enjoy spacious, beautifully decorated rooms situated on 4 levels of living space totaling 4,100 sq ft plus a large screened-in porch overlooking the spacious back lawn, flat sandy beach and peaceful cove. Purposefully designed for weekly seasonal rentals, where two families or multiple generations can enjoy this property with no compromises since it has two large, fully-appointed Master Bedroom suites upstairs and an additional en-suite on the main floor . No compromise to any family! Each bedroom features a wall-mounted LCD TV, high-end pillow-top mattress and USB power ports on the nightstands. The gourmet kitchen has beautiful granite counters, 48" Subzero-style stainless-steel refrigerator, trash compactor, a unique high capacity commercial 'clear ice' maker and island seating. Your comfort during hot, humid days is assured with our 8 ton triple-zone central air-conditioning system. Bring your own power boat, or rent locally and use our 40’ aluminum dock that can accommodate up to a 28’ boat.

Our large gentle sloping sandy beach is fully equipped with lounge chairs, end tables, a fire pit, a single kayak, a tandem kayak, two stand-up-paddle boards, a large canoe, a paddle boat and a shed full of other inflatable rafts and beach toys for all ages. The garage has several bicycles, outdoor lawn games and an air compressor for filling the water toys. The garage has vehicle parking lifts in it and as such is not available for storage of guest vehicles.

Come and enjoy our stunning, immaculate, well equipped and relaxing home where you’ll wake to the cry of the loons and enjoy spectacular sunsets each evening.

This property has been exclusively designed for weekly luxury vacation rentals. It has never been and never will be used for permanent residents, nor does the owner ever live in the property. As such, the property is guaranteed to be available for guests who would like to return each year, as many of our guests do.

Our calendar is accurate. This property is available for full-week rentals only during the summer. Weekends and partial weeks are available during the off-season as indicated in our rate schedule. We DO NOT accommodate functions or events on the property of any sort (weddings, large reunions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, groups larger than 14 people, etc..) as this property is in a residential neighborhood with full-time residents on both sides of the property. To our guests: we have a doorbell camera and backyard camera that are used for security and emergency response purposes - we do not record video from either device.

A great family vacation

We had a great week at Loon Lodge! The house is incredibly spacious and a great set up for the extended family that joined us for parts of the week. The owner was very easy to work with and quick to respond to a minor issue we had while we were there.

Idyllic slice of Lake Winnipesaukee

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Loon Lodge. Since we stayed after Labor Day weekend, we were able to enjoy privacy and quiet compared to busy summer days on a lake. The beach area provided us with all forms of water entertainment, such as kayaks, canoes and floats, so we spent the entire week in the water. The home is very comfortable and had all the amenities for cooking and BBQ. Would highly recommend for family or friends get togethers.

Beautiful home and location

A lovely retreat for our group. It rained most of the time but the house made up for the bad weather. Our group had plenty of space to spread out, and we enjoyed hiking, skiing and outdoor fun.

Loon Lodge was roomy, comfortable, all that our family wanted. We traveled from Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and North Carolina to spend a week together. The week did not disappoint.

50 Anniversary

We enjoyed the stay accommodations were good plenty of space for everyone. Area was quiet. We lucked out with the weather kids enjoyed swimming and using toys in the lake. We only turned the tv on once.

OUTSTANDING - IN EVERY WAY

We've spent 20+ years vacationing together at Lake W in many different houses and towns. This house was the best and the owners thought of everything when completing the renovations. Upscale and luxurious with plenty of room for everyone. Also it would be hard to find nicer owners to rent from - going so far as to help us with a problem with one of our jet skis. House is highly recommended - many thanks Andy and Laurie!!

Great family home

The private beach is a great place to spend the day. We took out the kayaks, paddle boat, paddle boards and the rest of the water toys. The kitchen was well equipped to allow us to prepare meals. The property is exactly as advertised and in great shape. We felt right at home after arrival. Everything is well stocked, clean and well maintained. We would go back any time. Andy, the owner, was warm, helpful and welcoming--both during the booking process and during the visit. Our whole family had a great time

Great Family Vacation

We had a wonderful week at this property. We had ages from 11 months to 70 years old and everyone in-between. The house was plenty large enough and very clean. It was such a relaxing spot to enjoy. Beach at end of property in a cove. So perfect for the little guys to play in the water. And the fast water was just around the corner for water skiing and tubing. We all really enjoyed cooking and eating and relaxing. We never left the house. Great get away and a way to be with our family all at once. We had 9 adults and 5 children.

Awesome family reunion

Our multi-generational group spent a week at this lovely home. It has a great kitchen, which we put to good use cooking all meals for our gang. The two dining spaces with banquet sized tables-one inside and the other on the screened in porch - allowed us to share meals together. We all enjoyed the lawn and various games such as corn hole and bacci. The small fry in the group loved playing at the sandy beach. Everyone had fun on the water toys- stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and floats. Great location close to town for grocery shopping, tennis courts five minutes away, and easy access to great hikes in the mountains. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay.

Great family vacation at Loon Lodge

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The description is completely accurate. The home includes water activities, games & everything needed to prepare meals in a spacious, open kitchen. The host Andy was very responsive before & during our stay to make sure we would enjoy our lake vacation. We wanted to have a pancake breakfast & could not find a pancake griddle. I contacted Andy & the next day a griddle arrived. We rented a boat at Trexlers marina ( they were terrific also) & Andy’s son, Carter accompanied my husband on the boat from the marina to the house as he was not familiar with the lake. We created treasured family memories & would love to return.

Wonderful location and great home layout

We had 14 members of the family (3 generations) at Loon Lodge in July. The house is situated in a great location, and it was very clean when we arrived. We loved the kitchen and great room area, and the group spent many hours congregating there, when we weren't out on the really nice sandy beach or enjoying the lake on a pontoon boat we rented and kept at the dock all week. There was plenty of bedroom space and bathroom facilities for all to be comfortable. The owner is in the neighborhood and made clear that he would be available, if needed. But other than stopping by with his wife to greet us when arrived, we did not see him and had no need to call no him. As an added note, making the arrangements with the owner for the rental was straightforward and I really appreciated his communication along the way. Great place to stay on Lake Winnipesaukee, and I highly recommend it!

quintessential summer lake vacation

My family (my husband, 3 kids, dog) and I spent a week at Loon Lodge. It is situated in a small cove. Location is ideal as we are on the lake with a small beach and boat dock. Sunsets were very nice. We rented a pontoon for 3 days which was lots of fun. My boys enjoyed fishing off the dock, canoeing and playing in the lake. The home is located in a rural neighborhood. We hiked trails in Castle in the Clouds too. Moultonboro has good restaurants. I cooked a lot as my kids have food allergies. The kitchen was easy to work in. We had to clean all the dishes, utensils, pots etc as renters are responsible to clean dishes and renters are not very thorough. My family and I had a great time. Thank you.

THE BEST OF THE BEST !!!

If you are looking for a fabulous home on Lake Winnipesaukee - STOP - don't look any further as you can't beat this rental in all aspects, plus the location is perfect. The home is extremely spacious, filled with sunshine and immaculate. There is a screened in porch plus a deck with a large table and umbrella. We enjoyed have our evening meals outside overlooking the lake. Andy, the owner, greeted us to make certain everything was satisfactory. Andy takes great pride in this rental property and he is very responsive with recommendations for dining and activities in the area. There are two master bedrooms with ensuite baths - plus a first floor bedroom with an attached bath. Actually, I feel the house is more beautiful than the pictures. The weather was hot and the central A/C was a blessing. There were 7 adults and 4 children - with room for more! We don't want to look any further and desire to rent this home each year for a fun filled family summer vacation.

Moultonboro's Finest Vacation House and Home Owner

Our family of 13 could not of found a better place. The property is well cared for with sandy beach, a dock to dive from or to tie up a boat up to 26", warm water, various paddle boats are supplied, and tubes for your water entertainment. Beach towels are provided. The lower level has a ping pong table that we used frequently.with large screen TV and comfortable chairs to read in a quiet area. It has a very complete kitchen which includes baking pans, lobster pot, a crock pot, spices and plenty of dishes. You need to only bring the food. The facility is clean, well cared for and well laid out, with comfortable beds and high quality of sheets. Large bathrooms with showers. . Each room has it's own TV The neighborhood is quiet and plenty of room for outdoor games of 'Ladder" and other toss games. The owner is within 5 minuets away to assist, answer any questions or be of help in any way. This is a 5 star plus vacation home.

Best family vacation ever, perfect house with toys for adults and kids, and great weather

We just had an amazing week at this property. Last year we rented on Fire Island, but there wasn't enough activity for the adults beyond the beaches and limited biking and walking, so this year we chose New England & Lake Winnipesaukee, where we could boat, water ski, hike, swim, and explore all the surrounding sights. We were 8 adults and 5 grandchildren 8 to 5 years old. This spacious house - Loon Lodge - is clean, modern, and user friendly. The beds, linens, towels are top quality. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and serving meals at home, which our 4 daughters planned and executed - AND cleaned up after. Most important, the property itself has a big lawn and beach, and more "toys" for adults and children than we could have dreamed of. Our grandkids lost no time on arrival donning bathing suits, life jackets, and diving off the pier into the water. There are tons of blow up toys, a paddle boat, canoe, SUPs, and 2 kayaks. All we had to do was rent a boat for waterskiing and tubing. Though our daughters had wanted a location where they could hike and explore, they rarely left the house and waterfront. Andy & Laurie are great hosts, and easy to work with. It was hard to leave.

We Loved It So Much We May Rent It Next Year!

This house is situated on a beautiful and peaceful cove. It has ALL the amenities you can think of, inside and out. A canoe, paddleboards, paddle boat and kayaks are available to use on a nice sandy beach area - with a fire pit. The water was warm and clear. We rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed Lake "Winnie" every day. The cove can be fished from the dock and it is great for catching sunfish and perch. The house is a bit deceiving - it is much larger inside than it looks from the outside. Well manicured lawns and a large driveway with a 3-car garage gives you lots of room for cars. The inside of the house is spacious and has just about everything you need including a finished basement loaded with games. The commercial ice maker came in handy every day - we were never without ice for coolers. The beds were extremely comfortable and there are plenty of bathrooms. The first floor bedroom provides a great space for those who prefer not to climb stairs. The screened-in porch made for great bug-free nights - it even has a flat screen TV. This is a great place and location for kids and adults alike. The owner Andy lives in the neighborhood and is very quick to respond to questions etc. The neighborhood is very quiet and secluded. The only sounds we heard at night were from the loons and laughter from our guests. We truly enjoyed our week at Loon Lodge and look forward to hopefully renting it again. Ray & Bobbie Kaligian

If I could pick more stars I would!

This house was amazing, and really made the first family reunion in years one we will remember for a lifetime. This was the first time four generations of our family was together. There were 13 of us, ranging in age from 6 months to 75 years. I was worried we'd be piled on top of each other but this was completely not the case. Great space for the littlest ones to sleep comfortably at night while the adults caught up. More than enough space to spread out and everyone could claim some personal territory. Lots of bathrooms. Plenty of TVs so those who wanted to watch could, without bothering those who didn't. Huge kitchen very well stocked and amenable to cooking. Great grill and corn cooker outside that got their fair share of use. Two fridges that kept us well stocked. Two washer and driers which was key to keep us in fresh towels, as we could not get enough of the beach. Oh, the BEACH! We rented this house with the intent we'd use it as a home base to explore the region. We had lots of things planned. Well, we did about 10% of them. We had such a great time at the house, on the beach and playing in the water with the already well described INCREDIBLY well stocked beachfront. Someone was always out on a SUP, kayak, paddleboat, inflatable or canoe while someone was playing badminton on the lawn. Seriously, we opened the shed and even the adults were like kids in a toy store. We spent so much time in the water (which was VERY warm) and had a blast. Three generations splashing around, reconnecting like we were all at summer camp. Good fishing (for the little ones) and snorkeling around the little inlet too. We were going to rent a boat but honestly never got around to it because we were already having so much fun with the non motorized water toys. We had several fires in the pit as well which was great! The house itself is beautiful and decorated just how I would like to have my home. Beds were very comfortable. Andy and his sister were so so nice and easy to deal with. They put together a binder of fun things to do in the area and I wish we had more time to go through everything! I can't say enough nice things about this experience. It really will always be a very special place and time for our family; as people age and move away you never know how many more adventures like this you'll have together. Thank you Loon Lodge! (At the end of the trip my sister bought us all a stuffed loon to commemorate the week, and it's sitting atop my mantle now!)

Amazing stay with Family

What an amazing stay. We were looking for a place to get together as a family for Thanksgiving. This house was A+. The property is beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. It included all linens and towels. The location is great. About 12 minutes from downtown Meredith. The house has everything you could need. The kitchen was well equipped. I mean we prepared Thanksgiving dinner for 13 people there and had everything we needed. The house is dog friendly which is the first thing we look for. The kids had fun in the upstairs bedroom and downstairs playing ping pong. Moultonborough is a beautiful town. Center Harbor Baygulls and Cider Bellies - both very close and excellent. The owner is extremely responsive and easy to communicate with, that makes all the difference. We were very happy! Thanks again! What a special Thanksgiving Holiday with our family. Hoping we can line a summer rental here some point soon. It’s located in a nice quiet cove with a dock.

I grew up coming to Lake Winnipesaukee occasionally with my parents and always dreamt about having a home of my own on the lake. I used to travel extensively for business and haven’t found anywhere as beautiful or unique as this lake. My wife and I rented for many years on the lake and finally a decade ago our dream became reality when we built our home where we now live year-round with our 3 kids and 2 Labradors. I am a recently retired S&P 500 Defense-Tech company CEO and now manage this luxury property as one of my business/hobbies.

During the “great recession” of the late 2000’s, we saw a waterfront lot down the street from us come up for sale and we decided to create a purpose-built high-end seasonal luxury rental on it. My wife and I rented high-end houses for many years on the lake so we knew exactly what we wanted to find when we rented a home for our vacation. As a result, when we built this luxury rental property, we put in all of the features and amenities that we felt we would want ourselves in a high-end rental. We built this home with multi-generational family vacations in mind, where you have two or three couples looking for a "no-compromise" setting to enjoy a week's vacation. Literally, no expense has been spared in creating this fabulous home. From the gourmet kitchen to the pillow-top mattresses, we sought to provide the best experience to our guests. This peaceful location seems to wash away months of the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Moultonborough has the best overall location on the big lake. It is easy to get to, close to a wide variety of restaurants and features clear, calm water. At only 30 minutes from route 93 and 15 minutes to Weirs Beach, the location is both convenient and quiet. Enjoy more than five high-end restaurants within 15 minutes, or a host of other 'North Country' eateries within the same short distance. Grocery shopping, gas, hardware stores and fresh vegetable stands are also within 5-10 minutes away. There is also a gourmet butcher shop featuring high-end meats, fish, premium prepared foods and wines within a 10 minute drive.

The cove provides calm waters and no racing boats, which makes it ideal for swimming, kayaking and fishing. The house is on a very quiet cul-de-sac, where kids can play on the street safely. The streets of this secluded development are quiet and ideal for morning or afternoon walks. The beach is large, level and natural, not a 'perched' beach or rocky shoreline which seem to be the norm for many other properties on the lake. The beach is very well suited for small children or the elderly who love to play in the natural sand or interact with the small frogs and turtles nearby.
