We loved the Chalet! Enjoyed coffee every morning on the deck watching all of the bears walk by the Chalet just below us. We saw 15 bears total at the Smokies. Ten of which were right from our Chalet! We even saw a mom and 2 cubs! We enjoyed the hot tub and the kids loved the air hockey table and the board games! Watch out for the driveway…recommend arriving in daylight hours so you can fully assess the steep, straight up, grade. Kitchen nicely stocked and enjoyed the grill. The king sized bed was way too soft, but our overall stay was 5/5 stars!

Overall nice play to stay. The hot tub was malfunctioning, which was a letdown. Apparently that was noted on the page when we reserved but did not notice that specific wording. It has nice touches, such as a towel warmer in the bathroom. The sauna was very nice, as well. The biggest caveat is just how steep the driveway is - our car measures angles and the driveway averaged over 20% degrees, topping out at 25% near the bottom.I still recommend it and would stay there again.

We’re sorry the hot tub wasn’t available during your visit; while we do note that in the listing when under maintenance, we understand how easy it is to miss and how disappointing that can be. And yes, the driveway is definitely steep — mountain terrain can be dramatic, and we always recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles for added safety. A Perfect Getaway

This is one of the cleanest, most well maintained properties I have ever stayed in! This chalet was the perfect size for our family and the loft was great for our kids. Do not follow the Google Map directions though...look at your map ahead of time as there is a much easier way to the location. The driveway is indeed steep. We handled it fine in our AWD Rav4, but if there is snow we would definitely feel better in a 4WD vehicle. The hot tub was extremely clean and was a relief after a day on the slopes of Ober. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans for cooking and the starter supplies were more than enough for a short stay. Our family can't wait to stay in this chalet again.
