Trails End Retreat- A Peaceful Country Getaway in the Heart of Mohican Country

Located in the heart of Mohican Country, Trails End Retreat is a newly renovated 2025 getaway on 5 acres — perfect for families, groups, and pet owners. Enjoy a private stocked fishing pond with dock, outdoor patio and wood-burning fireplace, hot tub, pizza oven, Weber grill and Blackstone. The pond area is fully fenced for dogs, and a half-acre pasture with run-in shelter welcomes horses on-site.

Inside features TWO fully equipped kitchens, comfortable sleeping for up to 10 (2 kings, 1 queen, 1 room with two twins, sleeper sofa) plus a bunkhouse (2 twin beds; no electricity, linens not provided), 2 full baths, 1 half bath, and an additional full bath in the barn area — ideal when RVs are on property. Four RV hookups available by arrangement with the owner.

Outdoor adventures are minutes away: access the Blue Trail under 3/4 mile from the property and less than 5 miles to local canoe liveries. Peaceful views, flexible sleeping arrangements, and pet- and horse-friendly facilities make Trails End Retreat the perfect base for your Mohican escape.

This place was amazing. The host was very responsive to any and all requests. The outdoor patio area was so inviting that we found ourselves outdoors almost the entire stay! We would NOT hesitate to stay here again. Everything was clean and there were places close enough to venture out for needed supplies. We have NEVER stayed anywhere that immediately had us impressed. This will be our new destination when planning our family and friends events. Plus, the yard area was completely fenced in and we didn’t have to worry about our kids. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

A perfect venue for a family getaway. With adult children, an infant and a dog, the space was ideal. The fence area is connected to the house so no issues with the dog, who also loved swimming in the pond! Many spaces allowing for people to spread out but also gather for meals or late evening, especially in the covered outdoor living room with fireplace. We also were a short drive for daily hikes at Mohican State Park. I would highly recommend.

This property exceeded our expectations! We stayed for a softball tournament. The home was so cute! The outdoors were exactly what we were looking for! If you’re looking for a family getaway this is your house! 10 minutes from all the fun activities Mohican has to offer!

Wow! What a beautiful home. If you want to spoil yourself, you need to stay at this home. This home had so much more than we ever expected. We had everything we needed. We found sourdough bread and cinnamon swirl bread from one of our favorite bakeries in the area along with Starbucks coffee! Such a nice touch. We will be back and plan to stay for at least a week.

This was a truly amazing space! The hosts are wonderful and they thought of everything. We were in town for our son’s wedding and staying here just made the whole weekend so much more special. The property is beautiful and met all of our needs. We would love to stay again!

This is an absolutely beautiful property with peaceful environment and surrounding community. Having the outdoor space to hang out on the patio with the outdoor fireplace was a neat experience and it was also where we spent most of our time. It was also nice to have the pond available to swim.

The property was incredible and Deb was so great to work with. Her communication was the best I have had with any VRBO owner yet! The welcome basket that included: dog treats and a dog toy, local favorites for breakfast and guides for the area was such a nice surprise. The little touches were what really impressed though: labels on all the remotes and keys to tell you where they went, everything you could ever want for the kitchen, bathroom and laundry areas, big comfy beds with quality bedding, fans, and the most spectacular outdoor area. I think they have actually trained the fish to jump on the hook for the catch and release pond, which was a blessing for 4 grandkids ages 2-7 fishing for the 1st time. They LOVED reeling them in faster than we could get them off the hooks! They even allowed us to host 30 family members on the 4th of July for our family reunion during our vacation there. It was perfect! Plenty of outdoor space and parking. And the fact that the whole place was so pet friendly was such a bonus for our other babies! We would stay here for family vacation again in a second!!!
