This Come & Go Cottage offers A gentle mix of its 1890s vintage essence along with all the modern amenities & gadgets! Guests love the vintage windows that Serv as a “pass-through” from the breakfast bar indoors to the bar top outdoors! (Sometimes you just want that fresh air and be part of what’s going on in the courtyard while you’re inside!)
The backyard is a favorite hangout space for both of my two legged and four-legged guests! (I do not discriminate against breed or size of your furry family just hoping for all friendly pets to be friendly to The occasional doe that hops the fence or domesticated animal that uses my yard as a pass-through! No bloodshed thus far; knock on wood!)
The Fully fenced yard with some “peek a boo‘s“ offering privacy as well as a peek of the nature a.k.a. Deer walking outside your fence & neighbor hood fox that likes my side yard! ( yes Downtown New Braunfels still has a plethora of assorted wildlife!) The backyard has Raised garden beds, plenty of grass for your pups to do their thing and a huge patio area with a great covered pergola which offers shade & water misting on those hot summer days! Inner tubes ,noodles and ice chests on site for your use as well as a one-man kayak which I find guests like to pop in at your River Access/ Easement & paddle to where the Comal meets the Guadalupe and fish from their kayak in tranquility! From your easement you can get an hour float to last public exit and it’s a 13 to 15 minute walk back to your cottage. With the use of the tubes provided here this would be a free trip on the river ! Of course There are at least three inner tube rentals within 2-3blocks that will drive you up River drop you in the water( if you’d like to get out at the easement to refill your ice chest before continuing your float seems to be a favorite for guests) or just float nonstop to the Last public river exit & you’ll get a shuttle back to your tube rental or at times they just drop you back at the cottage!

Description: You are a football field from your easement to the Comal river , A football field to the downtown plaza , a football field to All downtown antiquing,eateries, bars, farmers market …..all the happenings downtown New Braunfels! Many of my guests that fly in never get a car it’s just so easy to walk! ( If you bring your pet I offer a list of pet friendly restaurants and bars, not to mention a basket of toys & treats!
Speaking of treats! I provide an abundance of items for you to just arrive with your luggage! Trash bags napkins paper towels starter coffee cooking oil dish soap grilling oil aluminum foil Ziploc bags I try to make it as convenient for you as possible I can’t say you won’t need to run out for a few things but when you walk in the door you should feel like do you have everything you need to get you through that first day and beyond!
Inside the cottage are two mini splits that efficiently cool in the summer and keep you toasty in the winter. Wi-Fi and a smart TV in the bedroom , The IKEA couch in the living room area slides out and up to a full size bed. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a vintage couch that pulls out to a vintage full bed.

…The cottage , backyard space , the covered parking space and driveway is all for you to enjoy. As this cottage is an original “coach house” the owner ,myself lives in the front house. Your privacy is always respected & I pride myself on being a host that introduces herself, offers assistance then steps away for you to enjoy your explorations and adventures! As a retired Delta Airlines flight attendant of 21+ years nothing makes me happier than hosting guests from all about the world and making you feel comfortable and right at home!
