Welcome to Logger Creek Walkout! This is a newly renovated walkout basement located in a charming and classic neighborhood in the heart of Boise. As beautiful as the inside is, the real selling point is the back yard with loads of mature trees and historic Logger Creek flowing through. Sit outside, picnic, or BBQ and watch the ducks, geese, and maybe even deer visit the area. Inside you'll fine a bright, modern space for you to cozy up in your home away from home.
The space This walkout basement has everything you need. The spacious layout has a fully stocked kitchen with high end furnishings, a living room with TV and wifi, a seating area with a gorgeous view of the back yard oasis, a full size bathroom, a washer and dryer, and an incredible back yard along the water!
The kitchen has everything you need for a night in: refrigerator, pots and pans, gas stove, spices and oils, dishes, and silverware.
The living room has a TV with a Firestick so you can kick back and watch your favorite shows. Connect to the Klipsch bluetooth speaker and listen to your favorite tunes or enhance your movie experience.
The seating area is in between the kitchen and the 8-foot sliding door. This is where you can cozy up and take in the back yard nature or read your favorite novel.
Enter the bedroom through the sliding barn door and relax on an incredibly comfy Purple Mattress. There's a full size closet for you to store your things in and you will find a clothing iron and ironing board for you to freshen up.
The bathroom is really one of our focal points. The shower has a built in 12 inch bench and you'll find two shower heads. Bathe in luxury! The quartz vanity is adorned with a 60 inch lighted mirror that will keep from fogging while you are showering. We provide a blow dryer, first aid kit, and soaps/shampoos for your stay! Since we are in a basement, all of the plumbing drains into the toilet which has a built in macerator and sump pump. This will kick on when it fills up or the toilet is flushed so you will hear a semi-loud humming noise from time to time.
Guest access Guests can park along the street and enter through their private entrance near the owners front door. The owner and his son live upstairs and are very quiet and respectful people. If you see them, be sure to say hi!
The basement will be completely yours but you might bump into people in the back yard. Don't worry, you have your own patio space and the back yard is huge so there is plenty of space for everyone!
Other things to note The plumbing is very fragile due to it being below grade. The toilet has a built in macerator and pump so when it kicks on it can be startling and feel loud the first time you experience it.
There is absolutely no smoking on premise and the back yard is not fenced in.
Your patio out the sliding door is for you but the back yard is a shared space.

Great stay
Location was perfect for us- right off Parkcenter Blvd, so downtown was a <10 minute drive. The greenbelt trail that follows the river was a 5 minute bike ride.

Did not stay there as pictures did not accurately reflect the place. Couldn’t even stay there. Bedroom was not acceptable and getting in - going down basement steps, felt definitely like just a basement. The only redeeming features were the kitchen. Though didn’t really check out the utensils

We are really disappointed by this review and our experience with John. Our listing clearly shows that it is a walkout basement, has a separate entrance, and of course has stairs (all basements do). The pictures are of the property and it has changed very little since they were taken (except the house has new paint, a new fence, and other improvements). It is clearly a basement as described in the listing and it has a massive glass sliding door and two large windows that open up into a large back yard with mature trees and a creek. John messaged us that they weren't staying and when I inquired what was not up to standard, they just never responded. Everyone who reads the listing and stays there really enjoys their stay. That's reflected in our reviews across all platforms. The times we don't, it's usually because someone didn't read the description.

This was a five star experience for us. Completely as advertised. Top quality appliances, furnishings and outdoor area. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay and felt right at home from the very beginning highly recommend and will be back again.

Two weeks in Boise
Apartment was clean and yard was lovely. Host great. Only wish would have been for an inside table. Has an eating bar but we like a table and chairs.

Modern, comfortable & peaceful
Great stay in a quiet neighborhood, backing on to a cute creek - 5min drive from downtown Boise and close to the Boise river riverway paths. Basement apartment is a modern oasis - kitchen & bathroom both fabulous and two lounge chairs to watch nature go by out of the patio doors. Very quiet, great night sleep. A little early in the season to use the patio & fire pit but everything set-up to take advantage of the countryside-esque location. Comms from owners was great - including local recommendations.

It was just right!
We've stayed in quite a few short term rentals and this one was a great fit for us. We wanted to spend time with our adult son in Boise over Christmas. We were hoping to be able to have some home cooked meals and an easy place to just relax together with him and our dog. The Logger Creek home fit perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The living, bathroom, and bedroom areas were super comfortable. We would not have changed a thing. We will definitely try to book this home again on future visits.

Quiet, green spot in Boise
It's surprising to go down a dozen steps to a basement apartment and find a bright space with a nice view out to lawn, trees and creek. We enjoyed our stay in this tidy, stylish apartment for two. There is off-street parking, room to roll bikes around and down to the private patio, and places to sit outdoors in the sun or shade. Inside there are comfortable chairs with good light for reading, a tv that operates on one remote, lots of hangers in the closet,... all well done. The toilet and drain noise was not an issue at all. Modern and updated basement apartment with great garden
All furnishings seem new and quality. Superb backyard for relaxing. Great communication with owners.
It’s clearly a basement rehab. Steep stairs to apartment were both unexpected and a problem for me. (Age 78). Didn’t expect that. I was able to walk through garden back to street.
They’ve done a great job rehabbing a basement, though the art over the toilet scared the dickens out of me in the middle of the night.
A great plac for people younger than I who want a quiet getaway with a lovely, serene garden out their door.

I've been a world traveler since I left college back in 2011. My lifestyle led me to create a tiny house that I started renting out in 2019 in hopes that it would enable me to continue living the life I'd always dreamed of. Due to it being so popular, I now rent it out full time while I pursue other projects. I loved sharing my creation so much, that in 2023 I spent the summer renovating my friend's basement into Logger Creek Walkout. I try to do everything I can to make sure your visit is special and unique!

We didn't skimp on the renovation and made sure to make the place spacious in the spots that matter and use quality, high end features to make sure your stay is unforgettable and comfortable.
