The Space

Luxury villa 100 miles east of Rio de Janeiro. Located in João Fernandes, one of most sought after and exclusive areas of the peninsula. Spectacular views with sunset over the beaches of Azeta, Ossos and Armação. All finishing and appliances of the highest (non-Brazilian) quality. Located on a quiet street near João Fernandes beach, Búzios.

The property was used for filming the Brazilian movie 'O Candidato Honesto', released October 2014.

4000m2 private grounds with spectacular ascent to villa via hand laid rock driveway, with mirante (look out).

Gazebo, enormous outdoor entertaining area with both charcoal barbeque (including pizza oven), DCS gas barbeque and dining facilities, outdoor powder room, large (120m2) infinity pool with water bar, child’s play area, and 25 yard lap pool, outdoor shower. Over 200m2 of wooden decking surrounding pool and house just on main floor.

Open plan living, indoor dining area and kitchen. Fully equipped kitchen has brand new professional quality appliances (Subzero freezer / fridge, Wolf gas burners and oven), dishwasher, microwave, Jura expresso machine.

Oversized living area is fully integrated into outside area; entire front and pool facing side of house fully opens with folding glass doors. Powder room, yoga studio, indoor lake with bamboo water fountain and Japanese koi, garden surrounding staircase to upstairs bedrooms. The entire villa has sophisticated interior with imported furniture / decor and elaborate flooring.

Integrated Bose home theatre system with Sharp Aquos 90" 3D TV, 3D blu-ray, DVD, iPod docking station, cable (Sky) and Apple TV. High speed wi-fi (private fibre optic cable has been installed into residence).

5 bedrooms all with air-conditioning, inbuilt wooden closets and ensuite bathrooms; beds, closets, bathrooms and air-conditioning all high quality. 4 bedrooms have large veranda’s with ocean views. Master bedroom has king bed, 55” flat screen Samsung Smart HD 3D TV, with cable (Sky), Apple TV, blu-ray, DVD and Sony home theatre system including tower and surround speakers, centre speaker, sub-woofer. Master bedroom also has spacious walk in robe, double shower and sink and Jacuzzi. Other 3 bedrooms have queen bed, with the child’s bedroom having 3 bunks (one of which is a double bed). One of the other bedrooms ('ocean suite 1') has a 55” flat screen Sony Bravia HD TV with cable (Sky).

Strictly only registered guests and no parties or events unless organized prior. Owners have young children and house design has incorporated safety considerations, including pool / indoor lake / terraces. Absolutely no smoking within house. Laundry facilities available. Utilities not included, charged at cost.

Vista maravilhosa!

Passamos uma semana no Casarão, curtindo Buzios. Acesso a cidade esta dificil nessa temporada com muitas ruas sendo asfaltadas e muita construção, transito. Casa fica no topo de Joao Fernandes, acesso andando a praia e centrinho um pouco dificil , muita ladeira e para entrar na casa tem que subir bastante na entrada de pedra/escadas (ficou dificil para minha mae que ja e uma senhora). Contratamos Sr. Oliveira indicado pelo administrador da casa Sr. Bruce para ficar a disposição de servico de taxi pois aluguel de buggy nao foi recomendado devido a segurança. A caseira Regina preparou cafe da manha e deixou a casa sempre arrumada e limpa, bem atenciosa. Servicos de entrega de hortifruti, bebidas e peixaria foram bem uteis, so chamar pelo WhatsApp. Casa e bem iluminada, decorada e ampla, alguns moveis, eletrodomesticos e detalhes precisam de um pouco de manutenção. Maior problema foi barulho de cachorros latindo sem parar no vizinho, dificultando para dormir. Casa e muito linda, bem arejada, piscina maravilhosa. O por do sol e realmente de tirar o fôlego, vista linda para o mar de todos os cantos da casa.

Eu e minha família estivemos lá em Fevereiro e tivemos uma experiência incrível. A casa é maravilhosa, com uma ótima localização e uma vista surreal. Todos os quartos são lindos, bem arrumados e modernos, assim como todos os outros cômodos da casa. Fomos muito bem recebidos pelos proprietários e muito bem auxiliados pela funcionária da casa. Não só recomendo como voltaria mil vezes.

Casa Fantastica e super bem localizada

Estivemos na casa por 4 dias e foi tudo perfeito. Para quem busca uma casa nova, segura e super bem decorada, esta casa pode atender muito bem. Tem uma piscina enorme com uma vista de tirar o folego. Quartos bem mobiliados, tudo novo e de ótimo gosto. A unica observação ficou por conta do quarto principal não possuir blackout nas janelas, permitindo entrada de muita luz logo cedo. Para quem quer descansar até mais tarde, pode incomodar. No mais, só elogios a casa e aos proprietários que nos receberam muito bem.

A beautiful Buzios get away

This was the first time I have rented a large house for a group and to do so in a foreign country can be a little daunting. Everything about this house, the pool, its managers, housekeeping, EVERYTHING was incredible. The house is well appointed and the setting stunning. Regina, the housekeeper made us the most delicious breakfast meals and arranging for a chef for dinner was very easy. There are several beaches within a 15 -20 minute walk, lots of restaurants and the shopping is an easy 20-30 minute stroll. I would like to point out that the house has such an amazing view because it is on a steep hill - meaning walking back from town or the beach was a fun exercise! Thank you for such a memorable vacation.

Stunning home, most beautiful view, but privacy concerns

Overall, our stay was excellent. This home is masterfully designed, completely unique and beautiful. The infinity pool and outdoor living spaces are exquisite, and the home opens on all sides with large doors, allowing the breeze to flow through upstairs and downstairs. The beds are very comfortable and each bedroom has its own bathroom, which was wonderful. You can tell that this home has been built with every detail lovingly decided. Regina, the housekeeper, is kind and meticulous - and she prepares a beautiful breakfast each morning. The owners helped us arrange transportation from Rio airport to the home, and also a private chef for a couple nights. This was much appreciated. The main concern, and a rather surprising one (as it was not disclosed to us before or even after our arrival to the home), was that the owners/manager have numerous camera all over the house and outdoor/pool area. These were on and recording 24/7. We did not realize until almost two days into our stay that this was happening, and we asked about them. It was very unpleasant/upsetting. On vacation, when relaxing in the living room, playing with your kids or laying out in your bathing suit, you expect privacy in the home where you stay. In fact, it is our understanding that video recording renters without disclosing the act of doing so violates the HomeAway policies. The owners said they could not turn off the system, which they consider essential to security on the property, and that the perimeter cameras are not on separate circuit from the living space cameras. We ended up having the manager come cover the inside (living room, dining room, hallway, stairwell) and pool deck cameras with plastic bags to block the recording view. It was odd to have to do this, and again, mostly upsetting because the owners had not informed us that this recording was happening. With full disclosure/notification and a pre-set plan to cover those living space cameras while renters are there, there would no barrier to staying in this otherwise amazing home.

Ein absolutes Traumhaus in bester Lage. Am Infinitipool liegend und die traumhafte Aussicht genießend, will man am liebsten für immer hier verweilen. Nette Hausdame macht zur Wunschzeit das Frühstück, sogar Yogastunden im dafür eingerichteten Raum mit Meerblick sind möglich. Absolute Empfehlung!!!

A casa é simplesmente maravilhosa, ampla e aconchegante. Super estrutura, vista incrível e sempre limpa. O serviço é ótimo e os proprietários são solícitos, dão toda a assistência necessária para aproveitar Buzios da melhor maneira possível. Forneceram também tudo o necessário para meus filhos pequenos, como berço, cadeirinha e até mesmo brinquedos. Não foi a primeira vez em que me hospedei com minha família, e com certeza não será a última.

Amazing holiday in Búzios

Bryce and Adriana were great hosts, easy to communicate with. The house is actually better than shown in the photos. The views are unbelievable, location is perfect and house is very comfortable. The staff is also great, making it for the perfect stay. Would be happy to go again!

Stunning house. Superb location

Buzios is a great beach resort and Bryce's house is in the best location in Buzios with stunning views over the town and the sea. The house is beautifully decorated with a wonderful open plan living space, an excellent sun terrace and a large lap pool. Bryce was incredibly helpful to us preparing for our holiday and giving us great suggestions re what to do and where to eat when we were there. Regina was a fantastic host preparing delicious breakfasts each day for us. We have stayed in lots of holiday homes around the world and this is definitely one of the best we have ever stayed in.

Incredible resort in every way!

O Casarao is an amazing resort that is so much better than the pictures. The unique architecture, décor, outstanding views, and pool make the home a special peaceful place. We enjoyed Regina’s breakfast each morning, and Oliviera provided stress-free transportation from the airport. Multiple patios, the bar in the infinity pool, and the huge lanai bi-fold doors add to the luxurious living experience. Bryce made sure that we had everything that we needed and was very easy to work with. Three beaches and the town center are an easy walk so location is perfect, as well. We have traveled to many places and this is the best. Bryce, thanks for a memorable Christmas in Buzios!

Bryce and Adriana's home is a beautifully designed and superbly comfortable home with fantastic views and all the high quality creature comforts you would expect. Regina (the houseeeper) is a lovely lady and excellent housekeeper. Bryce and Adriana were outstanding with all communications upto and during our stay to ensure we had everthing we needed. Incredible!

After a few months vacationing in Rio, we decided to spend a few days in Buzios for a change of scenery for my birthday. Staying here was a fantastic experience. In fact, this is the nicest AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The interactions with the staff were great. We booked with Bryce and he was consistent and clear in his communications. Prior to arriving he provided more information about Buzios and suggested more activities than we had gathered from our initial online research. He is very well connected with the community and will know the places to be during your stay. His english is perfect which was helpful (my Portuguese still needs a bit of work). It was a similar level of service to having a pre-arrival concierge. During our stay Regina was our housekeeper and she was also amazing. All of our needs were tended to immediately. The house itself is absolutely incredible. At first we were skeptical expecting that some of the photos online may be photoshopped or old, but this was not the case at all. In person, the house is truly more spectacular than the pictures or listing can describe. The kitchen and outdoor churascaria/pizza cook area were a highlight for us. We happened to have a chef staying in our group so it was fully utilized! The only issue staying here? You won't want to leave to explore the amazing community of Buzios. Thanks Bryce and Regina!

Wonderful

Great place and fantastic property. Bryce was a super host and was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay and the booking process. The home has exceptional views and is extremely comfortable. Definitely take advantage of the chef as she makes some amazing food. Got a lot of use out of the foosball table and the Bose sound system!

A great place to stay!

Finally getting around to writing a review. The house, location, accommodations, amenities, hosts, staff -- were perfect. The views were amazing, pool was refreshing, beds were comfortable, etc... From the very beginning, the hosts/owners answered all of our questions and were able to accommodate our large group. And, even with our large group, we never felt crowded. The house had everything we needed for preparing our own meals, as well as for relaxing. As far as hospitality goes, the owners/hosts/staff were more than helpful with our requests, i.e., renting a car, restaurant recommendations, good places to go running, and hiring massage therapists to come to the house. On rainy days, and we had a couple, there was still plenty enough to do around the house, using the HUGE Apple TV, or just sitting around talking or reading a book. The town of Buzios is about a 15 minute walk for those in good shape; otherwise. a 5 minute drive. The town was incredible, with great shopping, beaches and plenty of restaurants. We all felt very safe while walking around town at all hours -- it is slower paced and was a nice break after spending a few days in Rio DeJaneiro - which was fast paced and crowded.

Tranquill heaven

We had a wonderfull time at this house. Superb place, great architecture. Amazing swimming pool and lovely hosts who were really spoiling us. Loved the yoga class in the morning. When we come back to Buzios this is the place we want to stay.

We rented the whole villa for a week with another couple who has a 3 year old daughter. We've all enjoyed it. View was amazing! The house was well designed and modern. We don't really have to leave the villa at all as it's well equipped for cooking, barbecuing, entertaining and dining. Not forgetting there are toys, strollers and a children room for families coming with children. It's close to Rua das Pedras with restaurants & shopping and nice beaches. Most of these places are 10-20 mins walking distances otherwise just rent a buggy or call for a taxi. The taxi driver, Oliveira, who was arranged by them to picked us up at the airport is friendly. Would suggest to get his contact during your stay if you need to get around. Would definitely rent this place again if we are visiting Buzios!

Beautiful property was the highlight of the trip.

Buzios is a fun destination in itself, but we found this property to be the highlight of the trip. The home has unparalleled views and is in immaculate condition. It was hard to get my family to leave and go to the beach or downtown. The pre-teens loved the pool, the teens enjoyed the premium sound system and multiple balconies. My wife, mother-in-law and I spent most of our time in the various outside entertainment areas just enjoying the views, the butterflies and the perfect weather.

Spectacular Villa, beautiful people

We rented two rooms and shared 12 days with the family that lives there and with other guests that were going on. During those days, the villa operated as a luxury bread & breakfast. The information provided in the listing description is totally real. The building is stunning and the decor is made of artists criteria. The view is of film and the location unbeatable. Beyond all constructive luxuries, the best was given by people who lives there. We were served very complete breakfast (included in rate), they provided accurate information regarding the best restaurants, beaches and trips. Also offered for optional lunch and dinner of excellent quality (and abundance) at a great price. Cleaning is up to the rest of the services provided. We are a couple with a 2 year old daughter. 100% recommended to go with children or couples. The result: a great vacation.
