We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This property is fully equipped with absolutely everything one could need, from the kitchen to the pool to everyday comfort. The owners are very helpful and accommodating, and the rental guide is very detailed and full of information about the region. Sebastopol is a great location for hiking, vineyards, and exploring the dramatic Pacific coast. This is a great rental. We highly recommend it.

Such a lovely stay at The Birdhouse. Roger and Nancy were lovely, kind and great communicators. They said hi to us upon arrival and we found out they have a band and a record! The house was very clean with so many thoughtful amenities including soaps, paper towels and toiletries. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. The hot tub was clean and hot. We loved are stay and are looking back to another visit. The location of The Birdhouse is incredible. Just enough it seems far away but only 9 minutes to absolutely delicious restaurants!

This was our second time staying here and we loved it so much the peaceful setting and the hosts make it so enjoyable. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and throughout and that made our stay so easy! Can’t wait to come back. The location is so easy to access every town we wanted to enjoy.

Honestly, the Birdhouse exceeded our expectations—beautiful little house with *everything* you need. We loved sitting in the outdoor cabana, listening to the wind in the trees, watching the birds fly overhead while floating in the pool. An evening hot tub dip was pure relaxation before retiring to the comfy bed upstairs. The location is near everything - wineries, shopping, hiking, the beach, redwoods - whatever your interest. And yet the Birdhouse feels like it’s a million miles away from everyday life. Doug and Nancy were fantastic hosts: attentive while giving us our privacy. Truly a wonderful getaway - we can’t recommend more highly!

Beautiful little spot!

Wish we had more time to stay and relax. Enjoyed the pool, beautiful views, and peaceful setting. Had our fur baby with us too and enjoyed walking with her around the property. Thank you for a really nice stay!

Beautiful view with nice amenities

My wife and I spent a couple of nights at the Birdhouse and left wishing that we had chosen to stay longer. The hot tub was very welcome after driving throughout Sonoma visiting wineries. The bed and bedding were so comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Good view in a very convenient location

The Birdhouse worked out very well for us during our few days of exploring Sonoma County. It was a short drive to all the great restaurants in Sebastopol, there are several great wineries nearby, the coast is 20mins. We enjoyed being able to relax in the hot tub and pool. The driveway is a little tight if you have a larger vehicle, but manageable.

Relaxing spot

We loved our trip at the Birdhouse. The place was perfect for my husband and I and our 6 month old. When he went down for his naps we were able to enjoy the pool during the daytime and the hot tub at night. It was lovely! And, good location to some great wineries and a good coffee shop. Would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is comfortable and clean and the view is beautiful and peaceful. The one thing to be aware of is that the pool is not heated and it isn’t ever covered.

Thanks, Trish, for choosing the Birdhouse! Yes indeed, as our listing states, we don't have a heated pool. Late Spring thru early Fall we use a solar blanket cover to help maintain temps in the high 70's to low 80's. We don't employ the cover until May as it isn't effective in the cooler months. We haven't had folks swim in March before!

Our hosts were lovely, and the place was really comfortable to be in, felt like you could actually live there forever. And although the furthest we got was sticking our feet in the pool it would’ve been lovely in the height of summer. But we were there for a wedding so didn’t really get time. It’s a little bit out of the way, but so quiet and beautiful amongst the grape vines. I would highly recommend this if you’re wanting to get away and relax.

Old Friend Trip

We had a wonderful time. Doug and Nancy are terrific hosts. The place was perfect for a group of 4 who wanted a clean place with a beautiful pool for a relaxing long weekend sans kids. Of course, we can't wait to come back and bring the kids the next chance we have.

Amazing place

contained all the necessary amenities and was exceptionally clean. The house was ideal, and the grounds are stunning and well-maintained. The swimming pool was beautifully designed and well-heated. The host was gracious and ensured we had our privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house and plan to return in the future. Thank you, Nancy.

Sebastopol Serenity

We absolutely loved the place with the beautiful property and views! The hosts were wonderful and quickly responded when i locked myself out of the house . The pictures do not fully describe the beauty of the pool area and property . We had so many peaceful nights swimming and sitting outside. Definitely recommend !

A Perfect Getaway!

We loved the Birdhouse and will definitely come back! It's immaculate with so many amenities... we did our best to take advantage of them, from grilling dinner each night, washing our dog in the outdoor shower and hanging by the pool. Doug and Nancy are wonderful hosts and even performed a couple songs for us poolside! Delightful!
