COZY FLAT is what you are looking for if you wish to spend some time in Bologna , Italy’s important cultural , fun , artistic and gourmet center. The apartment is a newly refurbished and furnished (July 2019), spotless clean, bright and elegant apartment; it is quiet because off the road: it is situated between a nice green city park and a large sports center (4 soccer pitches,, one football pitch and 3 tennis courts), very close to the city center and the railroad station (both at walking distance) and very close to the fair district (less than 100m).

Located in a perfect strategic position in Bologna, I recommend this apartment for all great opportunities that it can give in an area so well served .For example a shopping center within walking distance with a SPA center, TUB, GYM, SAUNA, POOL, to relax a day with the whole family and more.

It features an easy connection to reach any spot in town: a bus stop is about 20m away, another one is at 40m; shops, a supermarket, a newly-built shopping mall, restaurants, pizzerias and trattorias, ice cream parlors, bars, fast-foods, ATM/banks, pharmacies, a laundry, a swimming pool and a sports center are just around the corner.
The apartment has been furnished with brand new furniture with great care and attention to details, the result is a very pleasant and cozy atmosphere.
It is a third floor(elevator) where you can relax sitting on the two balconies (one gives onto an inner courtyard, the other one is in the front of the building with the park on its right); in its 70sm it can accommodate up to 6 people: two big bedrooms (one with two single beds (and a put-up bed to add, if needed), the other with three beds – all can be put together to form doubles), a bathroom with shower, a kitchen and the annex living room and a hallway. The apartment is also equipped with a private garage (4meter-car), free of charge.

Other important features are a cooking range/oven, a microwave oven, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, an iron, a washing machine, a hair dryer, a safe, a TV-DVD-CD set, a stereo system, a radio, air conditioning, a fast internet connection with WIFI provided at NO extra charge. All sockets are international style. The kitchen is also equipped with all possible cooking utensils (to enable you to cook also Italian style).

Bed-linen and towels and everything that is necessary to make you feel at home is provided in the rest of the apartment; bed frames are new, firm and orthopedic with new top quality mattresses.

We absolutely loved our stay at this apartment! From our very first communication, the delightful host made us feel completely at home. The apartment itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and clearly cared for with great pride. Emanuela not only provided a warm welcome but also shared a thoughtful binder filled with excellent recommendations for dining and sightseeing in Bologna, which made exploring the city so easy and enjoyable. The location was also perfect—just a short walk to public transportation and grocery store. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Bologna!

This is the best experience we have ever had at a vrbo! Emanuella allowed us to check in 4 hours early, ordered taxis for our return and even brought us our Amazon replacement luggage at 10pm! What lovely people and a perfect apartment for our wonderful visit in Bologna!!

Bologna as a centre for touring local area

We used Bologna as a centre to a weeks touring around this part of Italy. The apartment is about 10 mins walk to the railway station which allowed us easy travel to Modena, Ravenna, Florence, Venice, Ferrante. Central Bologna itself was also within an easy walk. Our hosts were lovely and our stay was really enjoyable.

Very nice apartment and host

The apartment is very nice and only 15 minutes away from the old town of Bologna. Emiliana and her family are very friendly and really willing to help whenever needed. She even organized the taxi to the airport! It was a perfect stay! 😁

COMFORTABLE AND QUIET APARTMENT

Wonderful apartment! Emanuela is very helpful host! The apartment is furnished of everything, it is clean and bright. For the city center, on walk in 10/ 15 minutes or it is very comfortable, very close to the apartment there is two bus stop for the center and in 6 minutes arrive. We recommend this apartment to everyone and we hope to come back soon.

Great stay in Bologna!

We wanted a quiet apartment in a good neighborhood at a reasonable price. There is an AC Marriott nearby we considered that cost a little more, but I’m so glad we chose this flat. It’s nice having more room and your own place to call home when you are traveling. Emanuela is a fantastic host, she was on time with everything and checked in on us during our stay and quickly answered a question I had about parking. The coffee shop on the corner was good. We walked into town every day (20 minutes or so) and enjoyed our stay in Bologna! Grazie Emanuela!

Al Tellino

We arrived to the warmest welcome from Antonio's wonderful parent's. The apartment is so well equipped. There is everything you need. It is close to some wonderful restaurants. Town is a short walk. We have travelled through Italy for seven weeks now and this apartment is 10/10. It was spotless, clean, sound proof and a great location. We wish Antonio and his parents all the best. Awesome place. The best so far.

Fun in Bologna

We echo the comments from many other reviewers. Antonio and his family are very gracious hosts. The apartment is very modern and big. Everything is new. Proximity to the train station is very helpful. Parking nearby was easy and cheap. We would choose this location again rather than directly inside the city center if you plan on having a car. Local shops and restaurants are great, especially the Chinese/Thai/Japanese restaurant in the building next door.

Good Location

This was a great property as we like to walk and find new things. Some things to mention: Parking is easy in front of the building. You have to pay (not much) Monday - Saturday between 8am and 6pm but if you don't want to get up early in the morning by 8am to pay the meter, after 6pm the night before, we paid and it just automatically went to the next day beginning at 8am, so just do that and it will cover you to the next morning for whatever time you have it scheduled to end. Second, the main attraction area over the bridge seems far, but it's not. We drove the first day and that was a mistake because there is no place to park. Once we walked, we did almost every day. There are a few places to eat like Chinese food, sushi, a burger restaurant, and a Gyro place. Super easy and good food. Other than those tips, I will say, this is a great location for walkers and if you don't mind a smaller cozier place to stay. The check in was great and the host was super friendly! I would recommend.

Lovely family and apartment

Emanuela kept in touch before our arrival and the entire way during our visit. She was there to meet us, show us how to get to and operate garage gate, and everything in the apartment. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need and more. Good internet, washer, two balconies, two big bedrooms, great bathroom, air con, oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dining table for 4, two TVs, and DVD player. Very clean and tidy with good water temperatures and pressure in the shower. Location is 30 minutes walk from city centre or take the 39 bus there and 38 back. Grocery stores very close by. Emanuela and her family are very nice and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay in Bologna and the apartment made it much more special.

Wonderful time in Bologna.

When we arrived at the apartment Antonio's parents were there to great us. They spoke very little English however this was not an issue. They called Antonio and he walked us through everything. If we were unsure on how to operate something there were English instructions. The location of the apartment was great. Walking distance to the historical center of Bologna, the train station and two grocery stores. There are coffee shops, restaurants in the complex and a MacDonald within walking distance. We ate out in the historical area most nights. The food was fantastic! My only issue was on some evenings the neighbors could be loud but quiet after midnight every night. The apartment was exactly like the pictures, very clean and well supplied. We would highly recommend this rental property.

Clean apartment in perfect location

Emanuela and her family are very kind and helpful. The apartment is well equiped. Especially the kitchen provides everything you need for cooking. The rooms were recently renovated and very clean. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The old centre of Bologna is in walking distance (~20 min) and the railway station can be reached either by foot in about 10 minutes or by using the bus which stops a few meters from the house. The only minor downside of the apartment is the fact that the walls are even for italian conditions paperthin. You can definately hear your neighbors. If you are sensitive to noise you should use the smaller bedroom which faces to the inner court. We were satisfied with the apartment and have enjoyed our stay. If we are going to visit Bologna in future we will book it again.

Very good

We had a great time in this apartment - two adults, two small children (1 and 4). There is no living room, but the space was very adequate, the children still had plenty of room to play. The sleeping area is separated from the kitchen and living space by a door, which means it is quieter for someone resting in the bedrooms. The playground is just across the building, and there's a greengrocer's, as well as Lidl. Of all the places of this sort we have stayed in - and we've stayed in lots around Europe - this was the best equipped ever. It was very nice that Antonio provided things like salt, sugar, olive oil, etc. He also provided the soaps we needed for clothes and the dishwasher - we've always had to buy these in previous places. Antonio is a very helpful host. We totally recommend this apartment and we'll certainly come back, if in Bologna or northern Italy again. It's very easy to get to places. We had lovely food everywhere we went, but the one we liked best is called Trattoria Baraldi, in Via del Pratello, 40. The food was amazing, while traditional, and they actually put some care into their vegetarian dishes, so they were as special as the meat ones. Concerning restaurants, a lot of them do not open for dinner before 19:30. Also, if you're travelling with small children, the Parco Montagnola has a very nice playground, mostly in the shade.

Could NOT be better!!

We cannot speak highly enough about this property, which we chose for a monthlong stay in Italy and used Bologna as a base for side trips around the area as well as the quick direct flights to Sicily. I am a host myself here in the USA, and we have pretty high standards, and the standards one needs for a monthlong stay (we had to work from Italy so great net speed and various other things that are normally optional were crucial.) Manu and Andrea hit on all cylinders. We ALWAYS bring our own beddings and pillows because you never know what you're going into, and theirs were excellent. I have a car accident injury and the mattresses were SUPERB, the speed of the internet FANTASTIC, the place is maintained beautifully. The view from the second balcony overlooking the street is actually stunning. All the appliances were in excellent working condition. We communicated via WhatsApp and they were always immediately responsive but mostly it was questions about where to find an odd item as Italy is just different in terms of what they sell where, etc. The small washing machine worked beautifully (we'd never used one before) and, being Americans, we opted not to hang things to dry but there was a launderette on the corner and there was ALWAYS easy quick access to dryers. We'd hang out at the cafe across the street or get a piadina, and we became very much part of the neighborhood while we were there. Bologna is thus far fairly untouched by tourism so it was a wonderful place to immerse ourselves in Italy with quick easy access to anywhere in Emilia-Romana, Venice, Milano, or Firenze. If we went back we wouldn't THINK of going anywhere else.

Al Tortellino is perfect for a family of 4!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Al Tortellino in February 2017 when we were in Bologna on a family vacation. The apartment was perfect for my husband, two children (7 and 4) and me, and we had an absolutely wonderful time in Bologna and surrounds during our 7 days. The apartment appears to be somewhat far outside the city center, but it was a very easy and pleasant 15-20 minute walk each morning. It was also very close - only a 10-15 minute walk - to the train station, which was perfect for us because we took day trips to Venice, Florence, and Ferrara. The owners of the apartment, Emanuela and her husband Andrea, were unbelievably accommodating and helpful from the second we booked the apartment. We communicated via WhatsApp and they answered plenty of questions for us in advance of our arrival, as well as gave us some great information when we arrived. They were always available to help and they even stocked our apartment with (gluten-free!) necessities like coffee, pasta, milk, juice, and cookies. Everything else we needed was just down the street at the LIDL grocery store. We originally booked the apartment because it had a free garage space for a small car, but we opted instead to just take a taxi from the airport and trains to and from our day trips, which was actually perfect. The train system in Italy is fantastic and not too expensive (if booked in advance) and we had a wonderful time exploring this area of Italy. I have been all over Italy but this was my first time in Bologna, and I would highly recommend it to anybody! It is a lovely, untouristed city with AMAZING food and kind people. We had a wonderful experience and would return in an instant - but only if we can stay at Al Tortellino! Important details that make the apartment really great: very comfortable beds, well-heated, great fast wi-fi, lovely little balcony, fully-equipped kitchen (with dishwasher!), large bathroom with a washing machine (they also supply dishwashing tabs and laundry detergent - so fantastic!), very secure building, elevator, and an amazing gluten-free pizza restaurant just minutes away (La Pantera Rosa!). The only detraction was a lot of noise coming from other apartments in the evening that can be heard from the master bedroom, but it died down in time for bedtime so it really wasn't an issue. We also use white noise apps on our ipads so that helped. Thank you Emanuela and Andrea! We had a wonderful visit and hope to return again!

Wir haben eine knappe Woche in dieser außergewöhnlich gut ausgestatteten Wohnung verbracht, es ist wirklich alles in bester Qualität vorhanden, sehr sauber, gute Lage, 2 Supermärkte in direkter Nähe, Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Haus und vor allem sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieterin! Appartement propre et pratique

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’accueil d’Emanuela. L’appartement est à 20 minutes de la gare, qu’on marche ou qu’on attende le bus, ce qui est très pratique pour aller visiter Venise (2 h 3 m), Florence (35-38 min) ou ailleurs. Le quartier n’est pas très pittoresque, mais il est propre et sécuritaire, avec des parcs pour les enfants.

Everything you could need

The flat is in easy walking distance of the town, and also has two buses if you don't wan to walk. The flat contains everything you could possibly need. Full oven and stove, fridge/ freezer, microwave, kettle , toaster and coffee filter machine. Plus all necessary utensils, including a tea pot. The flat is spotless, and Andrea and Emanuela are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The garage for the property is small, but our Fiat 500 went in with room to spare. The beds are how I like them, nice and firm, providing a comfortable nights sleep. It must be remembered that this flat is three floors up, with a lift, and stairs for the fit. Therefore there are other people around who can be heard from the flat. There is a balcony off the kitchen facing into a court yard with trees and views of the opposite flats. There is also a balcony off the larger bedroom over looking the road. The large bedroom and kitchen both have a T V, unused on our visit. A welcome bottle of wine, bottle of water and lemon cake were well received. A very short walk away is access to both a Spar and Lidl shop, one in each direction. A 15 minute walk away is a lovely little family run Italian restaurant call Ri Coco, very well worth the visit and good value. As is this flat.

Excellent apartment!

In fact I can only repeat the very positive reviews the other guests have already written and which made us choose this apartment. The apartment is spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and conveniently situated. Emanuela and Andrea are very kind hosts, and they have thought of everything their guests might need. There is even a small first aid kit in the bathroom. The furniture is new with a beautiful kitchen, a lovely bathroom and some nice decoration. There is also good working air condition in all rooms, sliding shutters to keep our the heat during the hot season and a central heating for cold days. What an asset to have a private garage in Bologna! Our car (Skoda Karoq) was slightly too broad to pass the garage door, but so we had a perfect place to store safely at night the bicycles we had rented. No problem to find a parking space on the street. On Sundays and between 18 and 8 h parking is free, and on working days the day ticket doesn't cost much. The apartment is in a block of flats in a normal residential area, on the third floor with an elevator and a clean, well looked after staircase. We enjoyed the two balconies, especially the one facing the inner courtyard which has some nice trees. On our arrival Emanuela took time to explain everything to us, and there was a welcoming lemon cake and a bottle of wine (and pasta, tomato sauce, olive oil, spices, coffee,tea, bottle of water… the owners are really very generous people!). So: a big recommendation for this flat, and thank you very much, Emanuela and Andrea!

Great stay in Bologna

At our arrival we were welcomed by Emanuela and her family. They showed us the apartment and gave us details about the equipment and how to make coffee the Italian way. The apartment is fully equipped! Unfortunately our car was too big for the garage and we parked our car on the street for 7,50 euro per day. We only were a bit worried about the neighbourhood, but everything went fine. Unfortunately you can easily hear the neighbours who are sometimes a bit noisy. The connection to Bologna central station and the city centre is easily by bus 38 or 21. Thanks to Emanuela for her hospitality!

Nice apartment outside city center

Emanuela and Andrea are excellent, polite and service minded hosts. Their nice appartment is spotlessly clean, well-equipped and with aircondition. To go to downtown you need to take two busses; we recommend to buy a 10-trip pass in a Tabacchi. The public swimmingpool is some distance from the appartment and from the pictures on their website it looks to be a luxurous spa, hottub and sauna pool which explains the price of 18 € per person.

Bologna Break

Apartment was all we could have hoped for. It was clean and tidy with all the cooking utensils you could need. Although there was only two of us the apartment easily catered for mor. We were able to walk into the centre of Bologna in about 20-25 mins. We did not use the local buses

Feels like home

The apartment was for us like a oases in the desert. It has everything to feel at home. We master bedroom is wonderful and we slept like babies. Starting the day with a nice cup of coffee on the balcony and explore the city after a warm and hot shower in the bathroom. Bus 39 is 3 minutes walk to bring you to the railway station where you can take bus 25 to the centre of the city. A cheap store Lidl is 5 minutes walk away for everything you need to eat or drink.The owners where also very kind and very helpfull. Even though the weather was a little bit disappointing we don't want to go home. So if you searching for a good place to stay in Bologna we highly recommend this apartment for a very nice and comfortable stay in Bologna.
