You can ski right to the lift in the morning, enjoy the extraordinary terrain of Big Sky and Moonlight Basin all day and ski back in the evening where your bubbling hot tub awaits. This log cabin looks cozy and rustic on the outside-- with hand-hewn logs and a river stone fireplace-- but inside it is beautiful, spacious and boasts every convenience:

The cabin features 4 bedrooms and 3 baths in an easy-living layout:

On the Main Level:

When you arrive, you'll park in the heated garage and step through the front door into a slate-tiled mud room. Beyond is our granite-topped kitchen outfitted with brand new stainless appliances and stocked with staples, spices, and good coffee (grocery shopping can be provided upon request.)

The open dining/ living room area features a custom zinc-topped dining table for 8, bar seating for 4 and easily accomodates 2 families with plenty of room to play a board game, watch a movie, enjoy a glass of wine and relax in front of the wood burning stone fireplace.

Also on the first floor: a cool and colorful bunk room with beds for 4 (plus an air bed) and well-appointed queen bedroom. A full bath and a washer and dryer, stocked with laundry supplies, are conveniently located off of the bedroom hall.

Upstairs:

There are 2 Master Suites (one King, one Queen) with custom furnishings and sumptuous bedding. Each suite has a private bath. The king room features a balcony with mountain views for sipping morning coffee and a flat screen TV for late-night movies. The queen suite is our favorite, with a cozy couch and a desk area in case work intrudes upon your vacation.

The Destination:

In the shadow of majestic Lone Peak, Big Sky is a very special destination in winter or summer. Just by stepping out the door, you'll have access to world-class fly fishing, golf, rafting, biking, hiking, alpine and nordic skiing, horseback riding, snowmobiles, dogsledding, snowshoeing, ziplines, tubing and more. As a bonus, you are just 45 minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, home to breathtaking geyers and other hydrothermal features, waterfalls, and abundant wildlife.

Big Sky also has a surprising collection of great restaurants, charming boutiques, cool outfitters, and convenient grocery & wine shops, all within a few minutes drive. Big Sky Resort has nightly live music, pool and workout facilities, and a convenience store just 3 minutes away. Moonlight Basin Spa and Timbers restaurant are special treats!

Winter or summer, this cabin is the perfect home base for your mountain adventures or the ideal place to curl up and enjoy a great book by the fire.
