The space
OCEAN FRONT! STEPS TO THE OCEAN! Located in the heart of Ocean Beach, this apartment is the perfect spot for your visit to San Diego. It is surrounded by great restaurants, cafés, craft beer tasting rooms, and on the beach. If you like to be in the middle of OB village life this is the place for you!
Our comfortable condo is in the heart of all OB has to offer, making it a perfect destination for couples, singles, surfers, boaters, explorers... people with active lifestyles or people who just want to relax on the beach.

Our beach-living inspired condo is freshly decorated in coastal colors, complete with a full kitchen, towels for bathing and sunbathing, fans to circulate the cool winds, a queen size bed in the bedroom, and a queen size sofa bed for additional guests. It is located on the first floor, no stair climbing required. There is a flat screen TV and wireless internet service.

This unit has a Smart TV where you can access all of your streaming accounts. There is not Cable TV.
There is not AC which is common in SoCal's coastal neighborhoods due to great weather for the majority of the year!
This unit does not have a designated parking spot. Parking is free street parking only. Because this unit is on a residential street, street parking is usually easy to come by. However, sometimes you may have to park a block or so away. Variables that may affect this are the season, time of day, day of week, holidays, events, luck, etc.

Ugly

Disappointed in quality of linens, bed; kitchen poorly equipt-one wine glass, rusty knife, cheap blender that doesn’t work, no big pot to cook pasta….rusty fridge exterior. Ugly cheep decor. I expected more for price. The neighborhood is sketchy too and zero parking had to pay in a lot

Amazing Location!

This was a staycation for me. This location is steps from the tide pools, has a perfect view of the pier, and is less than a block from everything OB has to offer. The unit is located directly on the cliffs and the sound of the waves hitting the rocks is mesmerizing. The little deck is well situated and perfect to watch sea life and birds and people walking around the tide pools. I had a small problem within the unit and Ana and Forrest worked on it until it was resolved. I will be back to enjoy this place again!

Lovely, Large Balcony...NOT

VRBO, what a let down and over statement on this property. I have used you before, this was terrible! The balcony was 80% consumed by the table and the deck hadn't been swept in weeks. The floors inside were dirty as well. There was no internet in that it hadn't been set up according to the directions on the unit. The fan and heat lamp in the small bathroom was not covered and there was no fan. There were more than a dozen live ants in the microwave making the unlabeled water pitcher in the refridgerator uninviting. The owner did not respond to emails and we didn't get a passcode to the lock box until after 6:00 despite it being, "cleaned and ready" before 4..We were out early in the morning to find coffee and stayed away until we had to sleep. She, as was her condo were completely unacceptable.

The condo itself was nice! The view is gorgeous; however we didn’t receive any check in instructions until we were standing in front of the condo and I had to message the host to ask how to get in. The WiFi did not work. Host said someone would come by in the morning to fix it but no one showed up. This wouldn’t have been a big deal but we also had no cell service (Verizon) and my husband had to work while we were there. We finally learned that the only place to get any WiFi connection was on the balcony. Additionally, parking was awful. The listing said street parking was fairly easy to come by. That was not the case while we were there (Mon-Wed 8/19-8/21). I had a fractured foot so my husband would drop me off at the door and one night it took him 45 mins to find a parking spot and when he did, it was 6 blocks away and keep in mind, the condo is on top of a hill so you’ll be walking up hill.

Pelican Point

The location is AMAZING! Beautiful view. Very quite complex. Definitely an older building & unit. Although the unit was clean it could use a new coat of paint throughout & all the metal fixtures are a bit rusty from the salty air. The sliding glass door to the balcony is very difficult to open & close because the track is rusted. The mattress is very firm & was actually placed on an upside down bed frame so it sank in & pinched my foot when I sat down. My husband is handy & figured things out & flipped it over. The front gate to the building needed to have some screws tightened to make it secure so he fixed that as well. The locks to the unit are very tricky & you have to really slam the key in to lock the door. Needs a little TLC overall for sure.

By the Sea

Came across this gem just needing a getaway from the heat for a spell, and hubby had a work project in the area. A large window opens up a patio and nothing but seascape worthy of meditative bliss, a salty sea breeze to clear the head, seabirds and sunsets to end the day. Aside from what is thee main event, the rest was, for me, clean, cozy, comfy and non consequential. Street parking challenging but once secured, all is within a short walk. Once hunkered in with my reading and pup however, I rarely left this mystic sea side sanctuary..with the exception of a short jaunt down steps to the tide pools below. Doggie bags and waste station provided in this very dog friendly neighborhood. I will seek this out again!

location with a view

apartment was just what we needed. close proximity to beach, shops and restaurants. parking was only an issue one night (Friday) and had to park pretty far, but other than that was easy to find. communication was great and the view from the patio was really nice.

65th birthday celebration

My boyfriend was turning 65 and had never been to San Diego before. We loved the location of your property. Spent every night staring at the moon fall into the sea. Walked to great restaurants and local bars. We came back sun kissed and with many wonderful memories! We’ll definitely be back!

Horrible host communication. Good location

Our visit did not start off well. We got a email for accessing the unit and there was no info. Contacyed the host with no response and called Vrbo. They did not answer Vrbo and when the host finally responded they just kept stating that we had been given access information when we had not. She would not take any of the phone calls from Vrbo and they confirmed that access information had not been provided for the vacation rental. Tell me it will be provided at 4:00 on the nose and that’s fine but don’t lie and say I’m just not seeing it. I spent an hour our first evening trying to figure out access and where we would be staying since we had an event to leave to 30 min after checkin. The patio was smaller than advertised but the view and sound of ocean were nice. We did not utilize the kitchen to cook. Bedroom was comfortable but there were no lightbulbs in the floor lamp. Since she wouldn’t respond for access info we don’t even bother contacting her on the lightbulbs. There is limited parking in the neighborhood but it seemed safe enough. It did not other us but just be aware you can hear the occupant upstairs when he leaves his unit he is exiting over the bedroom. Extra blankets, sand toys and a boogie board provided. The pillows were memory foam and just ok.
