Darling getaway. Steps from all you need for a beach retreat. Close to water, shopping and restaurants from casual to fine. This cottage boasts vaulted ceilings and not only looks spacious but actually is.

Delightfully decorated to inspire sun and surf fun. Kitchen ready for delicious meals, private deck for serene coffee mornings. All you expect from a hotel stay in a quaint neighborhood a stroll from sunsets. Beach gear, games, smart TV. Close to freeways and local attractions.

This one bedroom is nestled in the heart of Ocean Beach in a darling 4 plex that is all vacation rentals. The gated property is a private oasis.

Ocean Beach is a lovely beach community where vacationers have been coming to for years. Park the car and walk to everything you need. Newport Avenue is our main drag and boasts great restaurants, happening bars and excellent antiquing opportunities.

Ocean Beach in the flight path of the San Diego airport. Planes can begin taking off at 6:30 am and the last departures typically occur around 11:30 pm. There is a curfew in place that prohibits departures between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am.

We loved our stay in OB. My favorite part of the cottage was the enclosed patio with a gate going to the walkway. So easy to pull the wagon into. Everything we needed and more was provided. Thank you!

We've stayed here around 10 times in various units. Always a great stay! Katrina is quick to communicate, the place is charming, and the location can't be beat. We will be back again.

Always a great stay @ Katrina’s property!

This was our 5th visit to the property having stayed in all 4 units. Communication is seamless, units clean,cute, and charming. Location only two blocks from the beach! Bonus for parking and beach gear included.Highly recommended

There were airplanes taking off above us every 90 seconds.

Every 90 seconds there were airplanes taking off above the unit we were staying in… the host did not provide us with that information in the description… I would not describe this as a peaceful place to stay! Thank you Susan Schepens

Great location !

Super cute cottage in a great location! The only thing that prevents this from being 5 stars is the bed is not comfortable. But maybe that’s just me …? Also the amount of chores that need to be done at checkout despite paying a cleaning fee is interesting. However , the location is perfect and the property is adorable. Would stay here again

Great place!

The cottage was cute AND just as presented in pictures and descriptions.But it wasn't too cutesy for my husband. Comfortable seating, with an outdoor patio, and comfortavle bed. An easy 1 block to the beach was a highlight, as well as walkable to the street where a lot of restaurants were. It was also easy to get to San Diego's tourist spots.It was great to have the garage, and to use the washer and dryer.The owner was very prompt and responsive to our questions. We would stay here again and highly recommend it!

Cozy Beach Getaway

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. He commented how much he did not want to leave. Although the weather was rainy, we had a comfortable place to stay between sightseeing, shopping and dining out. We are even thinking of returning with his brother and sister in the near future.

Amazing Location

The location- about 2 blocks from Dog Beach - is so perfect!! The home is well-appointed, cozy, super clean and has everything you need for a fabulous beach vacation!! Restaurants, coffee shops and stores are all within walking distance. Katrina is super easy to work with! Definitely a property we will keep on our list for a return visit!

Very nice home one block from the beach and walking distance to Newport Ave. where a lot of the restaurants are. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay with dog

Great property. Very close to the beach. Nice to have beach chairs, umbrella and cart to use for the short walk. Our dog loved romping on Dog Beach.

We loved it her!

We spent a few days at the rental in mid August and loved it! The nice decor in every room gave it a homey feel, very cozy. We enjoyed our morning breakfasts out on the secluded patio surrounded by a high fence. This rental sits back a bit off the street giving it a very private feel. The air made our hot days very comfortable. We had everything we needed for kitchen and bath. Everything very clean and beds and furniture comfortable. Quiet all day and night and just a short walk to the beach. The owner just expects you to follow simple rules (wash sand off your feet) which was fine by us. Would love to stay at this same rental again, highly recommend!

Perfect location and size!

My middle schooler and I loved this rental! It was an easy walk to restaurants and the beach, and we were thankful that a wagon, chairs, and umbrella were provided. The outdoor spaces were welcoming and much appreciated when the weather is as beautiful as it is in San Diego! And although we could definitely hear the airplane noise, it didn’t affect our sleep whatsoever. The only downside was the pullout couch was very loud and squeaky as a bed. Overall we highly recommend this place!

Inhospitable host.

The bungalow was very cheerfully decorated. Great location. Host constantly scolded us. Made accusations which were unfounded. Everything was lovely except for her. Have never had that kind of experience with a host before.

Cozy & Bright

My husband and I visited this property the third weekend of April 2023 on a last minute trip to San Diego to just get away for the weekend. The bungalow/cottage was just as described on Verbo. Instructions for arriving and departure were provided and we were able to access the property without problem. We don’t live anywhere with a garage so parking was challenging and that the garage is narrow and not exceptionally deep. Our Toyota Tacoma fit with perhaps 2 inches in front and 2 inches behind with the washer and dryer present. If someone had had to use the washer and dryer it would’ve been challenging. The one negative I would say is the noise from the airport. I was not prepared for planes taking off and landing from 6 o’clock in the morning until after 11 o’clock at night. If you’re looking for a place right next to the beach with great amenities and a very comfy bed this is the place for you.

Great Beachy Location

We have stayed at this property twice. It is located in the laid back area of Ocean Beach only 1 block from the beach and walking distance to all kinds of shops and food. Centrally located so it is quick to wherever you want to go. The accommodations are cute and mostly clean and thoughtfully planned with everything you can think of. Our only complaints are the sofa which is the most uncomfortable piece of furniture we have ever sat on. It is also a sleeper sofa so we tried that and it was even worse. The first time we stayed was was Summer 2022 and it was pretty hot and there was a major fly issue. We planned on grilling with the grill that is provided on the patio but it was so dirty and nasty that we couldn't. We brought it to the hosts attention the first time and this time it was just as dirty. I recommend replacing the grill and sofa for a more pleasant stay. Also not a huge fan of the signs all over the property telling you how to do things, like how to clean the sink and what not to use in the shower, so on and so forth. It's a little weird. The other unnerving thing was that the housekeepers showed up on our second day and had their days confused followed shortly there after by the property owner showing up to let us know she had someone working on the garage. A text or phone call would have been sufficient. Overall pretty good but I think we will stay someplace else next time, a little more comfortable and a little more relaxed.

Beautiful house, great location

The home is beautiful and decorated well. The location was wonderful and it was fun to walk to the beach, shopping and dining. Great hippy vibe. Now why not a 5 star? Be warned about the owner. My phone was dead and I left it inside to charge while we went out not realizing the text i sent my husband with codes to reenter didn't go through. We were locked out with no way of getting ahold of the owner. We worked with yahoo to get my email to his phone. We also tried reach the owner through vrbo by going to one of her listings and messaging her we were locked out and asking her to call us on his phone since she lived local. Yahoo helped us get the email and once inside I called the owner apologized and took full responsibility for locking us out. She said, "I've wasted the last 45 minutes of my life I can't get back, " "This isn't a hotel, and I am not your concierge." She explained that by contacting her on vrbo, we had taken her listing off, interfering with booking. I again apologized and let her know we would cancel the request immediately. She stated twice "don't make me call you back and tell you to cancel the listing". I am a therapist specializing in anger. I had no problems deesculating the behavior but other folks could have easily become rattled and scared of this extremely unhealthy response to a very small issue. We took full responsibility for locking ourselves out, BUT she works in hospitality, and it doesn't seem to be an area that works with her personality
