Thank you for your review Simone. Happy to hear you enjoyed the peaceful location and our amazing view. Sorry to hear you missed some basics supplies such as toiletpaper. Toiletpaper should have been there, I’m not sure what happened and will make sure our carekeeper keeps a good eye on this next time. If you would have notified me of the missing items I would have gladly provided them for you ofcourse . Particularly because we make an effort to provide our guests with the feeling of a comfy and warm home away from home. Our guests praise us more than often for our hospitality and the fact the villa is unusually well-equipped. The way garbage is collected in Calonge is out of our hands. It was different before (with big garbage containers at the beginning of the urbanisation). However, this caused a lot of mess in the streets with people dumping stuff not only in but sadly also everywhere around the containers, attracting animals. Many people appreciate this new system of garbage being picked up every day and having a clean urbanisation. By all means the central garbage station (Deixalleria) is nearby to get rid of garbage. The bedlinnen and towels are recently bought (2 years ago when we bought the house) and they a squeaky clean. We never received any complaint about the beds. They are not new but very comfortable. We ourselves never have better sleeps than in Spain! My conclusion: staying in a holiday house is different from staying in an hotel . In a real house you are faced with choirs such as getting rid of garbage and buying toilet articles (if you don’t bring them, as most people do). This is different from an hotel where everything is provided for you on a standarized level. Our house is not standard , it has a ‘soul’, charm and warmth, and just because of that it is so highly valued by our guests. But you should not be seeking 5 star standard hotel luxury. Last but not least, on our side we were surprised and not very happy to hear from our caretaker you brought two dogs without mentioning it in the booking.. out of courtesy and kindness we decided not to make a fuzz or charge you extra but bringing dogs is something you need to mention upfront. All in all we regret your 3-star rating which in our view is unjustified.
