Located on Ward Pond, Sidney, close to Augusta, Oakland, Belgrade Lakes Region, Waterville. Nearby, Belgrade Lakes Golf Club, dining, hiking, museums, shopping, day spas, movies, summer theaters, music camp, berry picking & horseback riding.
Camp Betty has a limit of 6 guests. Linens/blankets/pillows provided.
No campers or RV's, please. Weekly or monthly rental only.

There is a horseshoe pit, outside fireplace with gathering area, space for lawn games such as volleyball, bocce ball, & croquet. Fishing, birdwatching, nature study, walking trails, swimming & boating.

Hosts available for check-in, check-out, and as needed.

Quiet cabin with many options for fun at the water with beautiful flowers. VERY comfortable beds!

Check in and check out was easy. It is a very peaceful place.

Chelsea, we're so glad that the comfortable beds are a factor in your vacation criteria! Have you tried the waterfront hammock yet? The flowers in the driveway circular garden were planted for your enjoyment, visually and aromatically! It is so nice to have morning coffee on the kitchen deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of the hummingbirds, bees, and birds.

Camp Betty is a gem. Tucked on a cove on Ward Pond, it is the perfect lakeside getaway. Quaint and quirky like a lakeside camp should be. While a very private and natural setting, it is convenient to stores, services and day tripping in mid-coast Maine. Highly recommend.

Excellent family stay

We had a great week at camp Betty! It was the perfect family getaway. Kids enjoyed fishing and paddling around the pond and roasting s'mores in the campfire. Lots of outdoor activities nearby and would definitely enjoy staying again!

A quiet & relaxing getaway

We stayed at Camp Betty for a week while exploring the streams and lakes in the area by canoe. The cabin is on a quiet pond and we found it to be clean and comfortable.

Great stay

Property owner very nice guy, place is as shown online. Great place to get away on a family vacation. Pond water was pretty clean and caught some big bass. Used water crafts provided daily and had plenty of fires for the kids in the evening.

Camp Betty was great!!!

My family had a great week at Camp Betty. It had everything we needed and Emily and Dallas were great hosts. The water is crystal clear and the fishing was great. We hope to return again.

Dallas and his Dad also love fishing and catching large-mouth bass. The water is amazing, and is like silk to swim in. It is spring-fed, and sometimes you come into cool water spots, and you know that's where a spring is! We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Camp Betty, and we're looking forward to seeing you again next year!

A Traditional Maine Camp

Loved the screened porch and the board games and jigsaw puzzles available. Wonderful dock and boats. Canoed all around the pond.

Wonderful week on the pond

We really enjoyed our time in Maine at Camp Betty! Rainy days and nights cozied up on the beautiful covered porch, plenty of unique books, games, puzzles available, loons calling across the pond, cozy kitchen great for preparing meals…

Relaxing, Peaceful, and Fun!

Camp Betty was the perfect spot for three generations of our family. Some of us spent a lot of time in the hammock or lawn chairs reading and chatting and some of us spent a lot of time in the paddle boats or building frog forts at the waterfront. Dallas and Emily were wonderful hosts--friendly and accessible. Strongly recommend for a family vacation.

We also love listening to the frog chorus at night! It really take you back to your childhood when times were slow, and everything was special. Great memories are made and shared at Camp Betty!

Camp Betty makes it easy to relax

Camp Betty is set up to make it easy to relax and play in the lake and in the house. There are kayaks , canoes and more to enjoy , the lake is protected by a lot of forests so is not too busy, the water is warm. Inside lots of games and a well equipped kitchen. Not fancy and very comfy.

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Our children swam easily and safely right off the dock, we enjoyed the boats available, and spent hours next to the lake just relaxing. Emily and Dallas are welcoming, cool, lovely, and the ideal hosts. The house is great for a family with a porch you can enjoy during any weather, any time of the day. Thank you, thank you!!

It was fantastic that you and your family had such a good time at Camp Betty! Doaky Cove offers lots of nature for kids to explore, including turtles, fish, frogs, birds, bugs, and plants. Cheerful home on lovely lake

My family and I had a wonderful and restful visit at Camp Betty. Dallas and Emily were very welcoming and right next door if we needed anything during our time. The house was comfortable and we spent time reading and playing board games. We enjoyed the kayak and exploring the grounds. We also had many fun games of croquet and bocce on the expansive lawn and at night enjoyed roasting marshmallows over the fire pit. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Excellent location

My brothers, my nephew and I fish every year for a week in different places and we have fished Maine quite a few times. This place was in a perfect location to fish different areas. Pretty hot for Maine but we made the best of it. The host came over and met us when we arrived. Great week

Relaxing at the lake

We enjoyed swimming, canoeing and kayaking on Ward Pond, and fishing too! The cabin was very quaint and relaxing, with a screened porch where we could sit and watch the pond while sipping morning coffee. With 4 bedrooms there was plenty of room to spread out, and a nice big table to gather for games and meals. The neighborhood is very quiet, a great get away from it all place. Dallas was helpful and a great host.

Rest and Relaxation

This was the perfect spot to spend a week. Just 10 minutes outside of Augusta and centrally located for a family to gather for vacation. There are 4 bedrooms, a large dining area and a spacious screened in deck. We also had access to a private dock with multiple boats the use on Ward Pond. There is a brand new grill as well as multiple fire pits including one right next to the water. We all had a fantastic time and would highly recommend the location.

September getaway

We were a group of 3 older adults and spent 5 nights at Camp Betty and they were peaceful and relaxing. We love the screen porch. The cottage is very comfortable. The kayaks were put to good use as we enjoyed paddling on the pond. Lots of bird watching. Camp Betty is very well equipped, all you need is to pick up your groceries. Emily and Dallas are great hosts and very responsive. I highly recommend Camp Betty.

It was so nice that you got to walk the camp roads, and experience being on the lovely pond. The wildlife is always wonderful to hear, the loons, the birds, the chipmunks chattering, and the sound of the fish jumping. We're glad Peter got to do some fishing and reflecting every day, and we hope that you will consider coming back again!

Little Piece of Heaven

Betty's Camp was everything we had hoped for and more! Beautiful view of the water, with all the amenities including 2 paddle boats, row boat, canoe, rafts and floats. Many lasting memories were made in this large rustic camp with the huge screened in porch. Lovely wild flowers were blooming in the gardens and the geraniums in the window boxes were stunning. Dallas and Emily (the owners) are fantastic! You won't find anything disappointing when you arrive...we didn't want to leave this little piece of Heaven. We'll definitely be coming back to Camp Betty!

We have enjoyed making Camp Betty a fun family-oriented place to stay, complete with games, books, and puzzles. The gardens and window boxes make the camp picture perfect, and the fire pit is a great place to congregate and enjoy everyone's daily stories in the evening. Great time/ great experience

We had the best time! My Fiance and I have a big, blended family. 8 kids between the both of us, then all of the grandkids on top of that. They all got to enjoy the camp as well here and there. Not everybody stayed at once, but there was plenty of space. Saturday was dreary do we had an amazing day on the big porch playing all of the games provided. Everybody loved all the boats provided too. Thank you so much for having us! I enjoy another stay sometime.

An amazing 3 weeks at Camp Betty

My wife and I rented this property for 3 weeks in July and had a rotating cast of our friends come to visit while we were there. The amazing camp (what Mainers call cabins) was full of charm and perfect for us and our friends. Ward pond is a beautiful and quiet body of water, and the water in the little cove next to the camp was warm, private, and perfect for swimming, floating, paddling the provided kayaks and canoe, and fishing for the sizable bass that live in the pond. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we have ever found at a rental house, with knives that were actually sharp and plenty of pots and pans. The air conditioning did its job well on warm, humid days, and the screened in porch was perfect for hanging out at night or on rainy days. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade

Dallas grew up in the area, and used to come to Ward Pond to visit friends. As an adult, a property came up for sale, and a purchase was made. The adjoining property became available, so Dallas and Emily purchased it, and named it "Camp Betty" to honor Emily's mother. The decision was made to fix it up as a guest cottage and rental property.
