However, we’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our listing clearly states that the bedrooms are air-conditioned, but the living room and kitchen do not have air conditioning. This is common in many homes in the Caribbean, where the open living areas are naturally warmer. Regarding the parking, our listing also clearly indicates that we do not provide private parking. Guests are informed that street parking is subject to availability, and paid parking may be necessary depending on the time of day. We were also surprised to read about the concerns regarding the AC filters, as this was never reported during your stay. Had you contacted us, we would have immediately sent someone to inspect and clean them if needed. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can resolve any issues promptly. Finally, while we understand that mattress comfort is a matter of personal preference, this is the first time we have received comments about the mattresses after hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the location and recognized that the apartment has been beautifully remodeled. We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. The water outage during your stay was caused by an unexpected major aqueduct rupture that affected a large portion of the San Juan metropolitan area. This was an extraordinary event completely outside of our control and not a recurring issue at the property. For this reason, it would not be accurate to state in our listing that running water and plumbing may not be consistently available. Throughout the outage, we chose not to ask guests to leave because the situation affected the entire metropolitan area, and we wanted to be as supportive and accommodating as possible while the public utility worked to restore service. Regarding the insects, this is the first time in over two years that any guest has reported such an issue. As our other reviews reflect, this has not been a recurring concern. Unfortunately, in a tropical climate, the occasional insect can find its way indoors despite regular professional pest control. We also note that these concerns were never reported during your stay, so we were not given the opportunity to address them immediately. We also wish to mention that the apartment was left in an unusually poor condition after your departure, making the turnover significantly more difficult than normal.
