Everything was clean and as described not the ownerā€˜s fault, but there was a storm in the area, causing there to be no power. They had somebody out there within 30 minutes, looking at a generator until the power came back on. They even brought us candles in case they couldnā€™t get it back on before dark. Highly recommend.

The house was very well equipped. Kitchen had everything we needed, appliances were great and the ginormous fireplace was amazing. There is also a two car garage which came in handy so we didnā€™t have to clean the snow off the cars. There is also a second fridge in the garage. Valerie was wonderful and provided very timely responses.

Everything was great. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Only 2 things stood out that we didn't love (but it did not affect our stay): the smell of the water made some areas pretty smelly despite our candles; there was no insulation in the interior walls, which meant you hear everything - as soon as one person is awake, you're all awake! I recommend noise machines! Thank you for a great stay - we loved it.

We absolutely loved our stay at Valerieā€™s place! The home was spacious and perfect for our big family, with a fully stocked kitchen that made cooking together so easy. The fishing pond was such a fun bonus and provided hours of enjoyment for everyone. The location was idealā€”peaceful and relaxing, yet just a short drive to Hocking Hills State Park. Valerie was an exceptional host and responded quickly to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Amazing secluded property

What a great place to stay! It was exactly as advertised and even better in person. We had 12 people and the house had plenty of room for all of us. The deck overlooking the property and the pond was beautiful and a great place to hang out and enjoy the views. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay for large group

We had a group of 9 and had a wonderful time here. The property was very clean and spacious for all of us. The check in code was incorrect on the initial welcome text, but they were extremely responsive when we called for the new code. I recommend staying here.

A good place to stay with family

Our family of 11 and a dog had a great time staying at the property. Easy drive to Logan and close to great hiking. Fun in the hot tub and fishing in the pond!

Beautiful house and property. The kids loved the bunk room. The floors didnā€™t seem clean when we arrived, as I found dead flies everywhere (host says it happens for 2 weeks every year and theyā€™ve tried fixing it) and other little garbage. Also, the kitchen really lacked. There were no pans/skillets big enough for a large family. We had to run out to buy ziplocks, salt & pepper, and seasoning, which I thought they might have since Iā€™m assuming most people only stay a couple nights. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend away though!

Our time at Timber Ranch Lodge was literally a Dream Come True! We celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary and my husband's birthday together with our adult children and our daughter's service dog. The home is spacious, beautifully decorated, clean, and well-maintained. The Housekeeping staff did an extraordinary job with lots of little details that showed their Loving care of the place, like the kitchen towel bow on the oven door. It was the perfect place for a family vacation. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well-stocked and the views off the back decks were wonderful. 5 Stars aren't enough to rate this property. It's definitely 10 Stars in my book. I most certainly would highly recommend renting this property and hope to return myself in the future. Thank you, Valerie, for sharing your fabulous home with us.

There were three families in our group with children ranging from 5 to 16 years old. The home was absolutely beautiful and the setup was perfect for us. The property is gorgeous and the location was convenient to visit all the hot spots in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Family Gathering

Started off being locked out of house due to a front door that has a history of not working properly. Waited 30 min in 90 degrees heat for assistance. Ended up using a different key and door to get in.Range was rather difficult to use.Chairs and pillows on porches could use updating.Home had nice play areas for the kids and nice bedrooms. Nice serene setting too.

Timber Ranch Lodge was a great family stay.

There is something to do for everyone when staying at Timber Ranch Lodge. My husband caught three catfish and a large mouth bass. The house was big enough to accommodate everyone. The deck was big and we seen deer and coyote on property. Peaceful and serene.The basement was great and spacious and I love the fact they have everything you might need when vacationing with kids and pets, such as games and toys for kids pet leashes and animal bowls, large animal crate. The kitchen was stocked which was great because we love to cook. The front porch could use a few more seating areas for those rainy days when you canā€™t leave the porch. We will definitely go back there. The host Valerie always replied back fast when I had a question. Thanks for letting us stay in a great place and make wonderful family memories!

A 10 Cabin and Experience

Highly recommend and canā€™t wait to return! The cabin was clean and stocked with everything we could possibly need. Kitchen dishes, cookware, utensils, appliances, and more. The upper deck was so easy to enjoy with the beautiful view. The location was secluded and provided the tranquility we longed for. My husband and I shared this beautiful cabin with 6 young adults and 1 additional adult and 2 dogs. So family friendly and now a cherished memory of the milestones we were blessed to celebrate while there. Valerie and staff were so communicable and provided great recommendations before we arrived. WiFi worked great when we wanted to be in touch with the outside world. The 30 min drive to Old Mans Cave one day and Cedar Falls the following day was easy and worth it for those 2 days of hiking. Screams of delight driving back and forth were surely heard in the next county! Thank you again!

Amazing Getaway!

We stayed at this cabin for a three day weekend getaway, six adults and four dogs. Plenty of space to where you didnā€™t feel crowded, beautiful cabin, within about 20 minutes driving time from all the major hikes. hot tub was luxurious on a chilly night. We even enjoyed watching some scary movies as a family in the giant living room. The only downside is that the property isnā€™t fully fenced in so We had to keep our dogs on leashes in the back, But they had plenty of space to run around and lots of new sniffs!

Excellent for large groups. Beautiful cabin with plenty of room for everyone. I could stare at that fireplace all day. The pond with the fountain was so soothing. There was plenty of space for people to hang out together or get a little quiet time. There were plenty of beds. The deck was great and we all enjoyed the hot tub. It was all very clean. The pillow situation however was dire. I'm not sure where these pillows were purchased but if the Dollar Tree sold pillows this is what they would offer. The upstairs loft had one tiny pancake pillow for each bed. It was also a little off putting to have to bring coffee, soap, shampoo etc. There were only two dish towels and nothing to scrub the dishes with. There were no bedside tables which made things awkward. I think people were a little unhappy which is sad considering the beautiful surroundings. It felt a little like the owners weren't concerned with people's comfort.
