This is the entire second floor of this historic Victorian home. It has a private entrance and parking. The bottom floor is occupied by an attorney during normal business hours.
When u walk up the stairs to the unit you will be mesmerized by its old world charm. This home is over 100 years old built in 1921. The home has been beautifully restored. Beautiful vaulted ceilings in the bedroom & living room. Gourmet kitchen with everything u need to cook a 5 star meal. There is a full coffee/tea bar with wide a selection. U will be walking distance to all of the best restaurants & bars. Best location & amazing skyline views. You have access to the courtyard and are welcome to use the picnic table. Easy to find location with plenty of street parking. Whole foods is less then a block away and there are many cute coffee shops and cafes. There is even a yoga studio near by. This is a historic Dallas neighborhood surrounded by gorgeous historic homes. You wont wanna leave!!

The stay was fine for one night. Neighborhood was absolutely safe and friendly. A lot of places to go close by for dinner. Not convinced the size is worth the price but it was good for a weekend getaway. I would recommend but doesn’t really have any amenities. The parking spot designated is meant for a small vehicle. The back Pathway wasn’t cleared of ice and my husband had to handle it. I did message the host about the ice but didn’t get a response. Over all, it was ok.

The place was clean when we arrived and it was perfect size for three people. It is a great location. Walkable to downtown area. It is near Katy Trail and there are food restaurants in the area.

The place was dirty full of dust on artificial plants, ceiling fan, carpet was dirty, broken toilet seat. We booked two nights left after one night. Extremely uncomfortable and noisy beds when rolling over. Wasp in the bedroom landed on the bed. Only positive was the location! Lots of potential.

This place needs a deep clean, especially the sitting area and “office” area. I slept on the twin bed next to the main living area and felt myself getting bitten by bugs. I woke up both mornings with little red bites all over my body. I am so itchy even days after my stay.The listing describes a full bed however it is only a twin bed with a thin mattress and very creaky bed frame.

Loved, loved, loved. I've stayed at many VRBOs and there are only two I'd want to stay at again and this is one of them. The host was incredibly thoughtful in thinking of absolutely anything you might want or need for your stay. Very well stocked. House is gorgeous. Host very responsive. Area is gorgeous and peaceful. We hope to stay again in the future.

Great short July 4th stay

There were plenty of parking spaces by the street and the property inside was really clean. There were more than enough towels to use and the body shampoo, conditioner, cleaning necessities to use. Overall great experience and love the little book the owner gave with their background, recommendations

Cute & Quiet

A couple friends and I booked this property while in town for one night for a show in Deep Ellum. The space was perfect for a quick visit and super convenient to the venue. Beds were comfy, everything was really clean, and it was nice having multiple areas we could get ready at the same time. I would book here again if I find myself in Dallas again.

Too Many Unacceptable Issues

I had no plans to post a review as I did not want to slam the property manager. However, see below what I sent to the property manager by text upon checking out. He did not acknowledge or respond to my text in any way. Great location but beware or at least go in with eyes wide open!!"Good morning! We are out of the unit. I am not planning on leaving a review as it would not be great. We did appreciate the responsiveness on the HVAC, the 1 hour early check in, the place was well stocked, and is well located. However, the place needs some improvements and a few things are unacceptable: 1) the HVAC cost us a half of a day of our trip and , FYI, is still not working properly. It is only heating in emergency heat mode costing you/owner a lot of money and will drastically shorten the life of the unit if it is not repaired, 2) the house was extremely and unacceptably dusty, see pic of bedroom mantle as an example, 3) the TV in bedroom didn’t work, 4) the bathroom rugs are unacceptably disgusting. Any bath rugs/mats should be changed after each guest, 5) the place is in general disrepair with paint, lights, light switches, outlets, etc. See pic of kitchen light switch, 6) the internet was horribly slow with many disconnects, and lastly, 7) the most unacceptable of all was that there were 4 unsealed, used and refilled water bottles in the refrigerator. We believe we deserve a partial refund for one days stay. Ted"

Amazing location

Amazing location in a great neighbourhood. In walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and The American Airlines Centre.Only down sides were all the beds were very creaky waking you each time you moved , ceiling kitchen lights not working and the wifi regularly stopped working.

The property was great and in a wonderful location. I was not too sure what to expect when I entered the property as we booked it as a two bedroom property and we found two beds in one room we were travelling with my teenage daughter and did not want to share a room . Upon further looking the second bedroom was actually a small study off the main living room

State Thomas is a Dallas Landmark District in the Uptown area of Dallas, Texas. It borders downtown to the south at Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Bryan Place to the east at US 75 (Central Expressway), and LoMac to the north and west.
The State Thomas neighborhood contains the largest collection of Victorian-era homes remaining in Dallas. including the Jacob and Eliza Spake House listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The establishment of the region as a Special Purpose District in 1986 helped make it one of the first new urbanist regions in the city. You will also find many local bars and restaurants scattered through the neighborhood.

You will be walking distance to all the best restaurants in Dallas. One block away from whole foods makes for a easy walk to get groceries. You will also be a short walk to the free trolley cart that gives you free rides up and down McKinney Ave.

Stay less then a block away from the Ritz- Carrollton and ZaZa hotel for a fraction of the price.
