Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the home beautiful and enjoyed the pool. The small black insects on the pool surface were gnats, which are common in the area, especially during the summer months. Because they are extremely small, they can pass through the pool enclosure screens. We provide a net so they can be removed quickly when if they appear. We have hosted many guests at this home and have not previously received complaints about the light switches. We would appreciate more specific details so we can determine whether additional instructions or a lighting guide would be helpful for future guests. The electricity allowance is disclosed in the listing before booking and again immediately after booking. Check-in and check-out days are not included, and given the short length of this stay, the policy would not have had a meaningful impact. This policy exists because guests are permitted to control the pool and spa heating themselves, which is not commonly offered, and it also helps manage usage during longer stays. The grill cleaning fee only applies when a grill is left excessively dirty, such as with burnt food and grease left behind. Guests are simply expected to leave it reasonably clean after use. As is common with vacation rentals, we provide a starter supply of trash bags, laundry detergent, and other essentials. This property has welcomed more than 100 guests, and these concerns have not been typical of the feedback we receive.
