Canyon Crest Cottage and Garden

Summary:
Nestled atop the scenic hills of Topanga Canyon, this one-bedroom, one-bathroom upper guest house and garden offers charm and tranquility. Enjoy a private patio for al fresco dining amidst the natural beauty. Tastefully decorated interiors and fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, spacious bedroom. with modern and well-maintained bathroom adds to this special units comfort. An ideal retreat for solo travelers or couples seeking an escape from city life to embrace nature.

The Space:
Guests have full access to the upper guest house with exclusive privileges to all showcased areas. Parking is uncovered and restricted to one vehicle at the top of the driveway, offering a scenic hillside perch. Onsite washer and dryer are available. While we warmly welcome dogs, it's important to mention that the property is not entirely fenced. Please limit the number of dogs to one.

Should you desire assistance in enhancing your stay, we're happy to help with booking activities such as a yoga instructor, personal chef, in-house massage, or any other personalized services. Feel free to let us know your preferences!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home with parking at the top of the driveway and property next to the unit. There is a small upper guest house and a main house that may or may not be hosting guests. During your stay, you may come across other guests, vendors, or OAH team members on the property, especially in shared areas like the driveway.

All 30+ day stays require mid stay cleaning by our professional housekeeping team. This is a full clean of the house and change of linens and this will be discussed and billed to you during the booking process.

The Neighborhood:
Located in the heart of Topanga Canyon our Hillside Hideaway Guest House is about 6 mile drive to the Pacific Coast Highway. About a mile from the center of Topanga Canyon with great shops, coffee, and restaurants. Located right next to the Topanga State Park filled with hiking trails and beautiful views.

Getting Around:
Most people choose to have a car when visiting Southern California. Please note the final stretch up this driveway to the home is steep so please travel through the canyon with ease and caution. (And totally worth it for the serenity and views it holds). This home does have an EV charger. There are an abundant amount of unique and significant attractions within two hours of this home. If you’re an explorer, we do recommend a car.

If you’re the type that wants to arrive and relax at the house on your vacation, Los Angeles has the typical available use of Uber and Lyft options as well.

PLEASE NOTE: Sections of Topanga Canyon Boulevard are closed until further notice. Please be sure to check alternative directions and detours available when driving.

Other Things to Note:
Open Air Homes is setting a new standard for the short term rental industry. During your stay, we rely on a centralized texting service so that you can reach us anytime simply with a text. Our property management team cares for each home, and our goal is to have each home properly maintained before you step foot in the home. We make your check in and check out process a breeze, and simply ask you to turn off the lights/AC and lock up on departure. Our team is well versed in the local community, and we offer each guest a personalized set of recommendations before your stay, with the goal of making your stay a truly unforgettable experience.

- By booking with us, you agree to sign our Rental Agreement.

- You understand that your check-in instructions will be sent after successfully signing our Rental Agreement.

- Pets and animals are not permitted at the property at any time whatsoever unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to booking. Failure to comply with this will result in additional charge up to $1000 and/or eviction without limiting any other legal or equitable remedies available to Owner and/or Company.

Instant Book is turned off for all of our homes at Open Air Homes. This is a conscious decision in order to be a positive change for the short term rental industry, We encourage guests to send us a respectful note and provide us a little bit of background about your group before booking, and then we will take this to the owner for approval. We believe that mutual respect is key to ensuring that this industry can thrive. Open Air Homes strives to complete bookings in less than 4 business hours, so feel free to enquire and we will be in touch right away.

Please note that in the State of CA, guests staying over 30 nights are legally required to sign a legal CAR form with the DRE. Our Broker of Record will send you this CAR form for signature once payment is made. Your reservation will be considered ready to go once the form is signed!

The Open Air ecosystem also includes both Property Management and Real Estate. Our experienced agents in Southern California at OpenAiRE Brokerage are specifically trained at helping our clients find the ideal vacation home that can be monetized when not in use. Our local, experienced agents are readily available to take you on a tour of homes to get to know the community.

There is a 10-day grace period to return any items taken from the home at check-out (keys, garage remotes, etc). Replacement costs will be charged to guests if items are not received within 10 days of check-out.

PET FEES: For stays under 30 days, there is a non-refundable fee of $150 per pet. For 30+ stays, there is a non-refundable fee of $300 per pet. Damages and/or failure to pick up after your pet may result in additional charges at check out.

Please note the property is undergoing some maintenance refreshes and updates, therefore workers and some noise might be prevalent on the premises between 8am - 5pm.
