The place was just right for the two of us. The host was very gracious and gave us a wonderful summary of the history of the property and is significance to New Hope and the arts culture there. We loved the location and there were good recommendations of local restaurants and sights to check out. Very accessible to the canal towpath for walking and/or biking!

My wife and I had an enjoyable stay at this cottage. It was comfortable and very quiet. Also, the location was great, as it was convenient to downtown New Hope as well as Lambertville. Our hostess and host were very helpful giving us excellent information about local restaurants and the lovely art show that was within walking distance.

Kurt and Eleanor were so Very Friendly and accommodating. They showed us around the property and shared with us some very interesting facts about the cottage!! Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Kurt and Eleanor have a beautiful property. The Gothic cottage was cozy and definitely giving cottagecore vibes. The cottage itself was clean and well thought out. They had provided us with recommendations with things to do in the area. The tour they gave us of the property was amazing and insightful. The property is rich with history and art. The place is close by restaurants and the town of New Hope, making travel simple in terms of short drive times or even a beautiful walk down to the town to access everything.

Very cozy, beautiful, and serene cottage 110% worth the price anytime. We were welcomed in as if we were family and given a very cool interesting tour when we got there. We also were greeted by their very lovely cat whenever we were enjoying the gorgeous outdoor area for morning coffee. They even offered us information on interesting places to check out including places to eat while we were staying there. Not once did we feel as if we were missing or in need of anything totally thoughtful and accommodating stay! Definitely going to make a return trip in the future.

Such a unique property. It definitely felt as if you were living in an old English cottage. Loved the experience but this will not be for everyone. Low sloped ceilings in bedroom and kitchen and tiny bathroom. Not issues for a weekend stay but might be an issue for some or a longer stay. Hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave us background on the property and made sure we found it ok. Walk to town on towpath doable but a bit longer than we anticipated. Appreciated the Keurig coffee maker and pods. If you are looking for something different than your average vacation rental definitely recommend.

We loved the little cottage! It was a cozy stay and beautifully decorated. My husband is 5'11" and he kept banging his head, so that was unfortunate. There is a smell of propane gas that was uncomfortable.

An absolutely perfect experience from start to finish. It was even better than I could have hoped for! The hosts were available onsite and were incredibly helpful. They made excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and attractions, too. The cottage itself was stunning, and the surrounding gardens were exquisite. The bed was super cozy and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook while I was there. This place is an absolute gem with a LOT of history!

A wonderful stay, it all felt like going back in time in this gothic cottage, Kurt and Eleanor are great hosts, we got the history behind this truly unique village, and its origins, which added to the charm of it all. Wonderful 5 stars.

The host Kurt was wonderful! Very friendly and helpful with the check in experience and helping us get settled. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights for an anniversary trip and the cottage was beautiful and so cozy for the 2 of us. We’d definitely recommend staying here and would love to return someday!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
