Hi Craig, We are glad you had a nice stay at the lake and appreciate your feedback. There are indeed a few top steps from the parking area to the entry. We wish we would have known about your need for wheelchair access (this home is not ADA compliant). Had you reached out we would have been happy to reposition the boat trailer (closer to the wall) on the side yard, which is essentially a lawn ramp to the front door. There then wouldn’t be steps from the parking pad until the kitchen entry, which then has a three-inch step up just inside the door by the fridge. We have added a note about those few steps to the listing for future guests. We do have a dehumidifier in the basement, which perhaps was turned off. It is a lakefront lower level however and some dampness will naturally occur, but we will investigate installing additional ventilation. We also plan to replace the twin mattresses for the upper-level guest room later this month. Next summer season, we will install a dock addition that will make swimming/getting in and out of kayaks much easier. The best sandy swimming for our lake is at the narrow point at the edge of the bay, as you enter the larger lake zone. The owner's family swims there every opportunity they have, as it is so refreshing and once you get to that spot it is clear sandy bottom. We truly care about our guests’ experience and strive for five-star reviews. Prior guests have all greatly enjoyed this home. We will take your suggestions into consideration and make improvements.
