We celebrated a 40th birthday weekend with a group of ten friends and this was the perfect property! The host was easy to communicate with and answered all questions quickly. The space is amazing-furniture/amenities are updated for current day, but the house maintains the original midcentury charm. The pool/pool deck was perfect for every part of the day. The dining room table was ideal for a dinner with a chef. And the location of the house was great-it felt private, but you were a quick uber from downtown. Would absolutely stay again!

Great stay in this historic villa

We stayed in the villa for our yearly family vacation with kids and grandkids. It's a great place for that with plenty of room for all of us and a great pool. Also lots of fun things to to in the surroundings to keep us all entertained when we weree not in the pool. The host was super responsive when we had any questions or things that needed attention.

The house itself was amazing. It is very mid-century modern, and that deserves MAD RESPECT. Think Marilyn Monroe style Hollywood. In fact, you could do a world-class Halloween party there with that theme. The pool was even warmer than expected, which was a surprise. I'm usually disappointed by overpromises in that department, but the hot tub is a little funny: it's shallow, so you have to almost lie crossways, like sardines, to fit more than a few people in. For us girls, that was not a problem, and it was a running joke, but for men or mixed couples, I could see that being an issue. The house is in a V-shape around the pool, so it has like two wings. We only really occupied one wing in terms of bedrooms, which was the one with the two primary suites that overlooked the pool, and they were super dope. They both had auto shades that opened and closed, and little balconies that opened onto the pool. The main living room was unbelievably cool, we watched a few movies on their rad HUGE screen, and it wasn't hard to navigate. The kitched is massive and well-stocked with all amenities you could need. Honestly the only issue we had was checking in because stupid VRBO never sent us the keypad code and we couldn't get ahold of them OR the owner, via text, email, or phone, which was super annoying. Also, one of the primary suite sinks leaked so we let the folks know. Finally, you should know the other wing is haunted. Just FYI.

Amazing House, Great Hosts!

The house was everything we wanted it to be. The hosts were communicative and very helpful. They suggested nearby restaurants and golf courses for our guests. We will definitely entertain at this house again.

Great for groups!

One of a kind property in a beautiful location. The layout was super well suited for our group, with lots of spaces to relax and enjoy each other's time. The host is great - very responsive and kind, with all the amenities you need/expect. Would love to stay at this property again. Thank you so much!

This house was incredible. The mid-century architecture was stunning and felt like we were stepping back in time to a different era.The living room had a great screen/projector set up so our meetings were super productive and comfortable.We had a group of 7 and we're very comfortable. The rooms have enough separation between levels and wings of the house that it felt quite private.The communication with property management before and during our stay was very fast and efficient. I would absolutely stay here again.

My 3rd time doing a retreat at the Iconia Mansion. The house is complete with everything you'll need and the owners and Peter are very responsive to anything you need. We needed a monitor to be brought into the dining room area to hold our meeting and they immediately took care of making sure we had it in time for our meeting to start.The house is very comfortable with 8 or 9 bedrooms and all fully equipped with plugs by each bed, towels and toiletries and hair dryers, and the kitchen was also stocked with all the glassware, dinnerware, kitchen gadgets needed. We respected the no noise after 9pm rule so brought the group indoors in the evening. Will gladly book this property again.

One of a kind trip!

One of a kind trip! Absolutely recommend. The house was fun and suited our group perfectly, with a great layout and plenty of amenities. The beds were comfortable and the hosts very responsive. We had a lot of fun discovering the fun details all throughout the house. Also, the pool was amazing! We loved everything about our stay. Exactly like the pics. Thank you!

Great House

This house was fantastic. It was a great location and great view to wake up to in the mornings. However, there are a lot of stairs in between rooms and tight bathrooms which make the space challenging for kids and those with accessibility needs. The property manager was great. He responds super fast to any needs you might have. He always checks up on you to make sure you're enjoying the best stay you could have. We all had fun in the house and enjoyed our stay there.

Overall, the property was great—fun, well-equipped, and it suited our needs perfectly. The location and layout worked really well for our group.The only hiccup was that the water was turned off when we arrived. I spent some time on the phone with the property manager walking around trying to troubleshoot, and eventually someone had to be sent out to fix it. Once resolved, everything went smoothly from there.Despite the rocky start, we’d still consider staying again!

Delightful Stay in a Gorgeous Time Capsule

This iconic mansion certainly took our breath away from the moment we walked in. The architecture, furnishings, and even the accessories made us feel like we were entering another era. It took us a while to simply explore the property, but when we settled in, we got to cook a meal for our large group in the well-appointed and updated kitchen. After dinner, we enjoyed a wonderful evening in the really neat hot tub and finished the night with a movie on the projector! The host was prompt and kind in dealing with our pre-arrival questions, and clearly cares for the property and its guests. We will find another time to come back to the area so we can stay longer in this gorgeous time capsule.

Exceptional House!

From the moment we booked this house, it was a 5 star experience all the way through! I wish I could given this review 10 stars! Peter and Sarah were beyond helpful when we asked questions about our trip to the area. They gave great recommendations and were responsive answering our questions within a day or two. We were a group of 9 ladies celebrating my birthday, and we loved the house. It was a flashback to the 70’s! They have kept this house in perfect condition and it was fun noticing all of the details. The house was well set up for a large group and accommodated everyone’s needs. We had a private chef and yoga instructor come in and it was seamless. The pool was heated and the hot tub was great with all the jets - so relaxing! The check out process was the icing on the cake- so easy and kind. They told us to do nothing and enjoy our vacation. I also want to add that I accidentally had a few packages sent to the house the next week. Thank you, Sarah, for returning them for me! We will definitely be back again! We were sad to go!

Beautiful and unique property, just as described. Comfortable rooms, clean pool, well-equipped kitchen, and communicative hosts. We had a lovely birthday weekend there with friends. The only issue we had was that the control panel on the hot tub was broken; it was hot but we couldn’t turn the jets on.
