Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your historic home over the Christmas holiday. We truly value unique properties, and we arrived excited to enjoy the space and bring our own holiday spirit and warmth to the experience.Unfortunately, our stay did not align with the expectations set by the listing. Upon arrival, the home was noticeably dirty, with visible cobwebs in multiple corners and an overall lack of cleanliness that was disappointing, especially for a holiday rental. Several pieces of furniture were broken or in poor condition, and new couches were being delivered on the day we checked out—suggesting they knew the home was not fully prepared for guests during our stay.Additionally, there were ceiling leaks in multiple rooms, which impacted both comfort and peace of mind throughout the visit. While we understand that historic homes can come with quirks, these issues went beyond normal wear and were not disclosed prior to booking.We did our best to make the most of the experience, bringing positive energy and holiday cheer, but we feel it’s important to share this feedback so future guests can make an informed decision and so the property can be better prepared moving forward.Thank you for taking the time to read our comments.
