Close to downtown! nice, clean, great walkable neighborhood. Comfy beds, really cute decor and ideal for family and friends to spread out and spend time. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return. Owner was very attentive to messages and anything we needed.

Great Detroit Base of Operations!

Check-in was a breeze and both the property and the neighborhood are absolutely fantastic! A couple of restaurants are well within walking distance as is grocery shopping if you wanted to cook yourself. We stayed as a home base to see the Katy Perry concert at the arena, in the basement proved to be a fantastic Hangout to kill time while waiting for other side excursions. The coffee bar was well stocked and a welcome touch and communication was snag free! This gem will definitely see us coming back when we need to visit the Detroit area again! Don't forget to get a strudel around the corner!

Love this home, it's perfect for families with kids. The basement is an awesome place just to hang out & play games. I have stayed here 2 years in a row now visiting family and both times the house was immaculate. Thanks!

Wonderful stay

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Allen Park. The home was very clean, cozy, and roomy. I would recommend to anyone visiting Detroit or surrounding areas.

Weekend trip

Property was clean, easy in and out process and in a cute safe neighborhood. Perfect for you long weekend trip. Having the finished basement was nice too

Graduation Day

We needed a place for 3-4 family members while we were in Detroit for our son’s graduation from Wayne Law school. We found Gypsy Sands and it worked out perfect for us! Cute well kept home, short drive to downtown, quiet and quaint neighborhood. We will return next time we need accommodations in Detroit.

Great stay

In town with a few friends. Very nice home. Well maintained and spotless clean. Hope to come back again soon and would certainly stay again if available. Kim was responsive and super easy to work with.

Fantastic long weekend in Detroit

The home was lovely and exactly as listed. Fantastic neighborhood a little outside of downtown. Walkable with plenty of things nearby. Lots of thoughtful touches for our group of four.

Great spot

We were in town for a wedding. We used to live in Wyandotte so we are very familiar with the area. if you are visiting Detroit for any reason this home is in a very good location to get to anywhere you want to go. We have stayed in a number of different places and this one is right at the top of the list. We will rent this home again on our next visit to Michigan

Wonderful house, wonderful location

The house was adorable, beautifully decorated in modern style. We had full access to all main appliances, and only needed to stock basic food items for a week stay. Neighborhood is very nice, quiet, and safe- perfect for long walks. Awesome neighbors! Grocery store just down the road, local street with small shops within walking distance, big name shops 5 min drive, and major tourist spots/downtown Detroit only 15-20 drive due to several freeways nearby! I absolutely recommend staying here. Just prepare for creaky floors due to age of house (common in MI)

Well decorated, gorgeous home with everything you need!

I was thoroughly impressed by this property. Don't let the looks of the outside house for you it is very spacious inside, has everything that you need for an extended stay. The decorating was lovely, this house really made you feel like you were home. I think the best part of the home at least for my teenager and young adult children was the basement which we don't have in Florida! It was like this huge playroom for kids and adults of all ages. The pictures really don't do this home justice. The backyard was beautiful at night just hang out or Cook out. The host was very gracious and responsive with any questions. The host was also very patient. I would absolutely and will probably be booking this home again next year! If I could give this home 20 Stars I would.

Wonderful stay!

Kim was so wonderful to work with as she was able to communicate with me the whole time. Her house was beautiful and everything about it made us feel at home. We loved that the stores were close by and the neighborhood was safe. We loved the shampoo and conditioner provided- what was the brand? ❤️❤️

Perfect Place!

First off, the location is great! It was nice to be in close proximity of Detroit and all of the other places we were going. The host is super responsive and was always available when I reached out to her. She has more accommodations than most hotels and it was so easy to feel at home there. All furniture was super comfy and clean. The backyard patio was perfect as we are used to “porch sitting” at home, so it was a great space for that. We met one of the neighbors and they were super nice and welcoming too. Next time we are up from Texas, we will definitely stay here again if we end up spending some time in the city! Thank you for having a great house to call “home” for a few days!

Great place to stay

We loved the house and the area. We traveled to Dearborn for an event at The Henry Ford Museum, which was only about 10 minutes away. The house was very clean and comfortable. The fenced in back yard was great for morning breakfast and also sitting in the evenings with all the string and fary lights. The neighborhood where the house is located is nice and friendly. There are 2 playgrounds within walking distance of the house. We have stayed in mnay short term retals before ams the has to be one of the nicest placed we have stayed. We will stay here again if we are back in the area.

Fantastic Home in a Great Location!

We had a wonderful stay at a great home in a great location! We found the home to be clean and accommodating with great spaces for everything! The decor was very nice and everything was well stocked. The backyard was amazing and one of our favorite places to hang out. And the front porch had nice seating for morning coffee from the amazing coffee bar! The basement game area was also a favorite. We found the bedrooms to be well thought out and comfortable. The neighborhood was beautiful with amazing tree line streets and well kept. Convenient to everything, we found all within a short drive. Kim was a great host and returned all correspondence immediately! She was very accommodating and goes out of her way to ensure a great stay. Thank you so much for a wonderful time. 5 stars plus plus!!

Great house and location

House was great, location was great. Got there and had to wait a bit to get in but wasn't a huge deal. House had a weird odor in the front room of the house. We went and got stuff to help get rid of the odor. Would book again, as it's nice and convenient for downtown activities in a quiet neighborhood. Owner was easy to get in contact with and very nice.
