TO EVERYONE LOOKING FOR A PLACE OF REFUGE... we offer our "Sanctuary Inn". To avoid any disappointment, please know that we do not allow any gatherings or parties.We are situated on 3.5 acres surrounded by an additional 83 acres of beautiful old oaks and maples. Yet we are only 15 minutes from Detroit and many other great attractions including Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford, the Detroit Zoo, the Iconic Motown Museum, the world famous Detroit Institute of Art and African American Museum. Still within 15 minutes you will find Belle Isle, Little Caesar's Arena, the oldest farmer's market in the country, Eastern Market, to name just a few.

This home is very much a sanctuary, as the listing states. And it’s charming and warm and inviting. Very comfortable bed. Deer and wild turkeys and other wildlife in plain view from the picture window. Check-in was very welcoming: an unlocked front door and a handwritten note. This was an idyllic place to spend a few days in and near Detroit. Loved it! I can’t imagine anywhere else I’d rather have stayed.

I'm smiling as I write this...we don't usually meet our guests in person but since we live next door it happens sometimes. It seems it would have been fun to meet you since we seem to enjoy some of the same things. We so appreciate your care of our home and we look forward to your return.:)

Perfect location and setting

Who would’ve guessed you could have a stay in a wooded area in metro Detroit where we saw a deer, an owl, and turkeys in our yard.

Centrally located in a quiet culdesac. Clean with views of nature, deer and trees. Cute fireplace with comfortable furniture. Decor is a bit dated but fit the rest of the house.

Great hosts, lovely property

We stayed for 2 weeks in the peaceful surroundings at the Sanctuary Inn. The house is well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, laundry, entertainment and comfort. This was our 3 time staying at the property and we will be back again.

Wonderful Cozy Stay

Dearborn Trip Convenient stay

Great Place for 2 couples. Short drive to Henry Ford Museum. Out of the hustle of the city. Nice private piece of property. Quiet location.

Everything about our stay was perfect. It's listed as the sanctuary and thats exactly what it is, a hidden gem that makes you feel far from the city. I also can't say enough about the Richard and Jeanne, they really know how to make you feel welcome. Thanks for the great stay! We'll be back!

A beautiful sanctuary

Very relaxing! Surrounded by beautiful woods & wildlife. Spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable. The hosts are so kind & accessible if you need them.
