Old Florida Charm • King Bed • River Access • 1.5 Miles to the Beach
Morning coffee by the river, sunny afternoons at the beach, and evenings enjoying fresh seafood and live music—come make yourself at home in our peaceful little corner of Bonita Springs.
Part of a former Girl Scout fishing camp dating back to the 1960s, this welcoming retreat offers Old Florida character in a park-like setting along the Imperial River. With shell-covered driveways, mature trees, and a pathway leading to the water, it’s a place to slow down while staying close to beaches, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.
We’re experienced Superhosts on another booking platform, with several thousand reviews, and we love helping guests discover what makes this area special.
YOUR OWN COMFORTABLE RETREAT
You’ll have one entire side of a duplex to yourself, with a separate bedroom and living room. Completely renovated in May 2023, this one-bedroom, one-bath retreat combines fresh decorating with a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
Stretch out in the king-size bed after a day of exploring, enjoy the living area with its pullout couch, or settle into the partially enclosed sitting area with your morning coffee or a good book.
Your stay includes:
• A private one-bedroom unit occupying one half of a duplex
• A king-size bed
• A pullout couch in the living room
• One bathroom with an updated shower
• A full-size refrigerator for drinks, snacks, and groceries
• A partially enclosed sitting area
• Access to the property’s shared riverfront grounds, docks, and kayak launch
Please note that the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom—something to keep in mind if anyone will be using the pullout couch.
RIVER DAYS START RIGHT HERE
Bring your kayak or paddleboard and enjoy the convenient kayak launch on the property. Spend a morning exploring the Imperial River, watching birds along the shoreline, and taking in a different side of Southwest Florida.
Prefer a little more speed? Our shared floating docks have room for two WaveRunners. Please contact us before arrival to coordinate docking availability and make sure the setup fits your needs.
The Imperial River connects to coastal waterways and the Gulf, giving water lovers plenty to explore. Travel distance and time depend on the actual water route and conditions.
You don’t have to head out on an adventure to enjoy the waterfront. Walk down to the shared dock with your coffee, cast a fishing line, or simply sit beside the river and enjoy a quiet moment.
BONITA BEACH—ABOUT 1.5 MILES AWAY
Being close to the beach means you can enjoy it your way. Head over early for a shoreline walk, spend an afternoon swimming and collecting shells, or finish your day watching the sunset.
Nearby Doc’s Beach House makes an easy addition to a beach outing. Enjoy a casual meal by the sand and let the afternoon unfold without much of a schedule.
Barefoot Beach and Lovers Key State Park offer more opportunities to enjoy the coast, whether you prefer beach walks, nature watching, paddling, or simply finding a beautiful place to relax.
RESTAURANTS, LIVE MUSIC, AND LOCAL FAVORITES
There’s plenty to enjoy beyond the beach. Try waterfront dining at Coconut Jack’s, stop at Doc’s after a day in the sun, or head into downtown Bonita Springs for an evening out.
Sugarshack Downtown brings together food and live music, while the downtown area offers local restaurants, Riverside Park, and the Wonder Gardens. Check local calendars during your stay for performances, festivals, and seasonal events.
Some days, the best plan is a beach visit followed by dinner somewhere new. Other days, you may want to bring something back, put your feet up, and enjoy a quiet evening here.
EXPLORE SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
Our location makes a comfortable home base for exploring in several directions.
Head north toward Lovers Key and Fort Myers Beach for island scenery, beach stops, restaurants, and a leisurely coastal drive.
Head south toward Naples for an afternoon browsing Fifth Avenue South and Third Street South, exploring galleries and boutiques, or enjoying dinner at an outdoor table.
For shopping closer to Bonita Springs and Estero, explore the Promenade at Bonita Bay, Coconut Point, or Miromar Outlets. Whether your idea of vacation is shopping, sightseeing, paddling, or spending as much time as possible near the water, you’ll have plenty of choices.
CLOSE TO EVERYTHING, WITH ROOM TO UNWIND
What we love about this little fishing camp is its personality. It has history, character, and a peaceful setting that makes it easy to settle in.
Spend your days exploring, then come back to your own comfortable retreat. Leave room for an unhurried morning, another sunset, and perhaps one more day at the beach.
If this unit doesn’t quite fit your needs, please ask about our other accommodations. We’d love to help you find the right place for your Southwest Florida getaway.
