Family getaway

The views were spectacular! The house is even prettier than the pictures. It was a great combination of old charm and modern amenities. We would love to go back!

Perfect for a family, great property!

Wonderful, 3 friends enjoyed magnificent views of the lake. Almost all of house the lake was visible. The community was safe, peaceful and so perfect. We are older women and it was perfect for us!

Summer Vacation

We absolutely loved this property! It was beautiful, clean, well furnished, and in a very unique location. It was fascinating to learn about the grape growing in the region. We also enjoyed searching for beach glass, visiting nearby parks, and even took a day trip to Niagara Falls.

Relaxing Summer Getaway GEO

Very impressed with the property. Right on lake Erie. Peaceful and tranquil. Insects a bit much at night - we all got bit up around the fire. Would like to arrange another week next year.

Weekend Getaway

We absolutely loved this property! We had four adults and five kids ages 6-10. There was plenty of space inside and outside. The view of the lake is absolutely beautiful, and be sure to catch a sunset. You won’t be disappointed. The house is clean and updated. I enjoyed having coffee in the sunroom with a view of the lake. The kids played outside in the spacious yard and driveway with a basketball hoop. At night we had a campfire. We would absolutely rent this property again.

Great Place for Thanksgiving Family Dinner

Our family is large enough that we've been doing Thanksgiving rentals for some time now. Our last place sold to new owner so wasn't available. We found this one nearby and we are quite happy with the house. It definitely was large enough for Thanksgiving dinner. The owners were very responsive especially since we got trapped due to an uncanny snowstorm with local road closures. They worked with us during the local emergency. Everything was clean and the site was amazing with plenty of space outside. Would 100% rent again even with having gotten snowed in.

No Marina

This house is spacious and well stocked, perfect for a family stay. The view and the grounds are beautiful. It is next to the marina; however, the marina is not currently open due to major structural issues needing fairly significant repair. Therefore, there is currently no water access or boat launch available as stated in the listing. If this is not important to you do not hesitate to book because I would rate it a 5 star otherwise. However, we are kayakers and were disappointed. Obviously this situation has nothing to do with the house or host, but I feel any boaters considering renting should be forewarned to check with the marina if you plan to make use during your stay.

A great stay in a quiet neighborhood.

We had a great time. The house was plenty large, tidy, and well updated. It's an older house, but has been renovated. The property is large so it was nicely isolated from neighbors. As the listing states, there's not great lake access from the property. The nearby marina is no longer maintained, so some smell can drift in if the wind is in the wrong direction. There are a couple of nice parks nearby with beach access. I suggest going there to visit the water. There was a bit of confusion about details in the listing, but the property manager was very responsive when we contacted them and resolved our concerns beyond our expectations. While the listing is technically accurate, some relevant information is hard to notice. Being an older house, there are some things that are aging and in need of repair. We notified the property manager and hopefully they are addressed soon.

Solar eclipse fantastic fun

We had a fantastic time and wanted to provide a review to let other people know how nice the house was. Some houses that sleep 13 don’t always have ample space to accommodate so many people. This house had more than enough space, seating for 13 people while eating or while relaxing. There was ample seating for breakfast, lunch or large dinners and we were even able to eat out on the enclosed porch as a family. The kitchen seemed newly renovated, was well equipped and had everything we needed for preparing meals. The bathrooms were terrific for kids as well as adults. This house has a lot of character and charm! The views were incredible and provided amazing sunsets. There were ample wildlife viewing opportunities with lots of unique waterfowl. In terms of water access, we used the parks that are fairly close by, one to the north and on to the south. The kids were able to beach comb and do some fishing. The house was everything that we were hoping for and more. For us the best review that we could give is by asking would we stay here again? Hands down we all agreed that we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great trip!

Thank you, John, for the awesome review! We appreciate it greatly! We did renovate the majority of the house over the winter/spring of last year. We tried to make it as comfortable as possible. And we agree, you cannot beat the location and especially the views!! So glad you had a great time! You are welcome to come back anytime! You guys left it like nobody had been there!
