Beautiful home, view, and surrounding area. Great location for our hikes in Fish Lake National Forest and reasonable proximity to Capitol Reef National Park too. Very well stocked - pots, pans, laundry detergent, etc. Excellent communication from the owner. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed our stay, lovely property and location

We loved our stay, it's a little way out of town, but that's one thing we liked the most about it. There was plenty of room, and the hosts were wonderful, responding immediately to any needs, and suggesting local areas to explore. Would definitely stay again.

So beautiful & peaceful

Jolyne was the perfect hostess! Her place is very beautiful and so very quiet. Location was great for visiting the central National Parks. She gave us fresh homemade bread & eggs from her chickens, very delicious! I would stay again in a heartbeat .

Words alone cannot do this property justice. It is beyond amazing !!! A wonderful property, very comfortable, in an outstanding location. Terrific access to Natā€™l Parks and Forests and the view from the front porch is magical. The property owners/hosts are among the nicest folks we have met in all of our travels. They are a great source of local history and information. Lots of wildlife right in front of the porch, so evenings can be spent relaxing from a great hike in Capital Reev while watching the deer and birds at the same time. AAA !!!!

This large log cabin is situated overlooking beautiful fields. Sheep graze peacefully nearby. Upon arrival, we found freshly baked bread, a crock of butter, a dozen farm fresh eggs and a bag of ice in the freezer. They also had a large fan that we put in the window to draw in cool air at night.

This is a beautiful place! Clean, all the extras, from wonderful bedding to pots and pans and everything in between. We have already decided to come back each year as long as we are able. Lord willing.The host is so kind and it is like a home away from home, in a gorgeous place, close to Fish Lake.Highly recommend!!!! Quiet and Peaceful

Property in great condition and kitchen very well stocked. Plenty of bathroom towels. We really enjoyed the woodstove and nice dry wood. It could use a tv in the bedroom and a better fan over the stove.

Peace and quiet in Fremont

We loved our visit to Sundance Hideout. The property is on the edge of Fremont, and the area was quiet, with lovely views of the valley. Everything was clean and orderly, and oil, sugar, flour, spices, and other basics were provided. We found a loaf of bread to welcome us. The location is great, about a half hour to Fish Lake and the same to Capitol Reef.

The perfect location

This was a perfect property. We had such a great time. We were at a music festival and this was the best location we could find. Itā€™s right between Fishlake and Capital Reef so it would be awesome for anyone traveling through. My grandkids snuck carrots to the local alpaca. And they made a new friend.

Great Cabin Stay

This cabin was such a great find in Freemont for our trip to Capitol Reef. It was very cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. It was just my wife and I but I will say this is a big place with enough room for many more people to spread out. Also, working with and meeting the hosts Jolyne and Ross was a pleasure and the gift of bread was such a nice touch. Jolyne was very helpful sharing knowledge of the area and very responsive to all my communications. I would definitely stay here again.

We drove to this place through beautiful farm country, and as we pulled in the front gate, couldn't help laughing to see the lovely house in a serene location, with a field full of sheep grazing in front of it. A friendly llama sidled up to greet us at the fence. Going inside, we were pleasantly amazed at the size and comfort of this place. It was like moving in to a luxurious private cabin, with a large living room and kitchen, and three good sized bedrooms on two floors (we only needed the ground floor). Sitting on the front porch, we enjoyed wonderful views over the valley and the distant mountains. The night sky was dark and clear, giving us a view of the Milky Way that we never see where we live (near Boston). There is a fire pit in the backyard, with plenty of thoughtfully stacked firewood which we used to build a crackling fire one evening - another experience we haven't had for a long time. Everything about this place was delightful, and we were entertained throughout our stay by the quiet flock of sheep wandering from one side of the house to another.
