Disappointing Stay – Would Not RecommendWe were quite disappointed with our stay at this property in Airdrie. When we arrived, there was an old car in the driveway and the front porch looked worn and smelled strongly of cat urine. Upon entering, it felt as though we had walked into someone’s home while they were out — though after a quick walk-through, we realized it was vacant and decided to stay.The master ensuite toilet didn’t flush, and it was clear this issue was known, as there was a watering can left in the bathroom to refill the tank manually. The second bathroom had no hand towels (we ended up taking one from a bedroom), and the ice in the freezer looked so old it was nearly dust.The biggest surprise was discovering that there were tenants living in the basement — something not disclosed in the listing. The noise from below, including doors slamming and loud conversations, went on until about 2 a.m., making it hard to sleep.Overall, this property offered the bare minimum and lacked care or attention to detail. It was inexpensive, but the absence of a cleaning fee should have been a red flag that it wasn’t professionally maintained. We would not stay here again or recommend it to others.
