First thing to note when planning a trip to Daufuskie Island is there is NO Bridge. To reach our island you must book a ferry, water taxi or come by your own boat. Once on the island youā€™ll need grounds transport from your arrival dock to your JonBie Maisons vacation home. JonBie Maisons has options listed for both ferry/water taxi and transport providers and will be happy to make recommendations based on your travel arrangements.

JonBie Sea Witch is where your Daufuskie dreams come true. 2 Bedroom/2 Bath stand alone Melrose Cottage. Not a duplex. Primary suite has 1 king bed and en suite wet room that includes soaking tub. Second bedroom has twin bunkbed and full bath/full laundry across the hall. Common areas includes dining for 6, wine bar, coffee station with plumbed coffee pot (no need to add water) for that perfect brew, gas-see through fireplace for cozy dining and living view. Smart TVs in Living Room and Primary Bedroom (log in to your favorite app). Outside space includes screened porch, firepit, golf cart parking. This cottage is located front row of the Melrose Cottage association and has views to ocean from front porch and wooded views to the rear. Relax to the sound and view of the Atlantic Ocean from bedroom, dining room, kitchen and living areas. A golf cart with charging station is included with your booking so you can enjoy travelling around the island. Beach chairs and beach towels are also stocked for your stay - pack light. Fully stocked kitchen: all clad cookware, service for 12 (utensils/plateware/etc.) drawer microwave, refrigerator (icemaker, water in door). Full size washer dryer (though you are on vacation and we don't want laundry to be your priority :))

Daufuskie Island is a gift to us all and we want you to enjoy its unique vacation opportunities. Explore our Gullah heritage, artisan shops throughout the island, distilleries and restaurants, and tree lined dirt roads. Forget everything and reset from your respite.

This cottage is by far the best we've stayed in on the island! Tammy and Kent have done a beautiful job renovating and stocking their property with anything and everything you could possibly need during your stay. They were also very communicative. We had the best time during our little family getaway and look forward to returning in the future!

Beachfront escape

We had an amazing time staying at the Sea Witch. Location was perfect - just steps away from the beach. Beautiful views, clean and well kept cottageā€¦ couldnā€™t have asked for better! Those living on the island were very welcoming, and pleasant. It was the most relaxing vacation we could have asked for. We hope to keep coming back!

Relax and recharge

The house was perfect and the owners were very gracious. The people on the island were very kind and we had access to everything we needed! (We stayed for 4 nights and brought food for lunches and 2 dinners).

Property was as described. Loved the screened porch and swing was a plus. Liked the fact it was a stand alone unit, very quiet. 4th stay on the island and 1st time at this property. Will definitely stay again.

Cozy and relaxing!

We enjoyed everything about this home! It was so beautifully decorated and felt like a cozy beach cottage. The location and beach views were amazing!! This was our first visit to Daufuskie Island and we hope to return someday. (I would definitely do some extra research if you are a first time visitor, as far as what is available once you are on the island) This was the perfect stay to be able to disconnect and relax for the week!

We absolutely loved Daufuskie Island. Every one was so nice. Tammy and Kurt were awesome to work with and the house was amazing! I did not want to leave. The location was perfect! I can not say enough great things about the whole experience.

Simply the Best

The stay felt like a concierge luxury stay. The house was amazing. Could not beat the view(s)! The house itself was practical while still luxurious in every detail. Hosts were welcoming and helpful - well before arrival, through the visit, and upon departure. I recommend contacting them directly if considering a stay. Easily the best rental experience weā€™ve ever had.

Beautiful Beach Retreat

This is a gorgeous property with amazing decor and views of the beach. The beach is wide at low tide and so beautiful to walk at sunrise. The home is large with a nice layout including entertainment space and bedroom separation. There was plenty of space for a family of 5. The included golf cart was great for exploring Daufuskie Island. This is our 3rd time to the Island and 2nd time staying at a JonBie Mason property. 100% recommend staying with their VRBOs. Thank you for a wonderful long weekend away!

This is one of those places you want to keep as a secret. Going off season was a blessing for us as we had the place to ourselves. Others might prefer more activity and services (which come with the season). The location was fantastic and accommodations perfect for a family of 4 (with young kids). I suspect we will be back again and again.
