Private 1 Acre Resort, 1+Den with pool in Malibu Canyon minutes from the beach.

Spacious 1 bedroom and den chateau with sofa bed has full kitchen and washer/drier. Situated on more than 1 acre in Malibu Canyon, this private property features a swimming pool with waterfall and slide, large outdoor living room along with outdoor kitchen and BBQ with eating bar and dining space. It is fully fenced in with plenty of room for pets, and it for your use exclusively! If you enjoy games, there is a bocce court and horseshoe pits as well. Located across from Tapia Park and minutes from Malibu Creek State Park and the beach there are plenty of trails to explore and you can even book tours of Malibu's waterfalls. Perfect for stargazing as a part of a dark sky community, you might even spot some owls. If you are into the other type of star gazing there are Malibu star homes and beach tours. You may want to book a wine tasting tour or just enjoy your own bottle out by the pool. Plenty of restaurant choices too, from the Malibu Seafood Company to Nobu and many priced in between. And if historic locations are on your agenda, the Adamson House and Malibu Lagoon Museum are worth a visit and you can tie in a walk on Malibu pier as well. If you don't mind venturing a little further, there is the spectacular Getty Villa. And of course you're not far from any of the major LA area attractions.

During the summer (July, August, September) the pool is warm enough without heating and free to you to use. If you are planning to use the pool any other time, please advise in advance and select the pool option, so that we can make sure it is heated for you. The spa is free to use all year around.

This property is amazing. Feels like a little resort. Yard and pool / spa are spacious and beautiful. The house is well stocked and perfect for a longer stay. Marty and Manny are lovely. Our dog loved the big yard and meeting their friendly dogs. The surrounding Santa Monica mountains are filled with amazing hikes, and the Malibu coast is a 15 minute drive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this oasis in Malibu Canyon. The property was clean and well stocked. It was perfect for some r and r and was conveniently located. Easy access north to visit with family off of 101 with an easy drive south to Malibu for some meals and beach time!

Relaxing Mini-Vacay

Lovely, relaxing stay. Second time back and had the most enjoyable birthday weekend with my partner and family. Marti and Manny are both incredible hosts that went out their way to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Will definitely book another trip here!

Overall, a very comfortable and quiet guest house to stay in!

The outdoor scenery is lovely. Property does look just like the pictures from listing. Gorgeous pool and hot tub. Very comfortable bed. The Bocci ball game was fun! The owners are very kind. Great communication! We did think that this would be more private than it is. It is a guest house on the owners property.

Great Getaway

This place is idyllic, very homey and everything you might need to cook, enjoy the pool, and relax!! The hosts are great! Very kind, responsive and helpful. The cool air comes over the mountain and makes it a bit cooler there than in the rest of LA.

Beautiful Property and Great Owner!

My wife, daughter, and I loved our stay at Manny’s cabin. The hot tub and pool were amazing. The heating fee was very reasonable compared to a lot of properties. Manny is easy to communicate with and a very gracious host. The cabin is well stocked and everything worked as it should. The place feels very secluded and private. Nature sounds and life are abundant. We would definitely stay here again.

Traveling from the Northeast we were thrilled with the cozy forest setting - so much like home, hidden within the desert hilltops, and yet so close to the ocean! The enchantingly decorated cottage and surrounding landscape design, including charming antiques, artwork and lighting effects, combined with contemporary household conveniences, delightful spa tub and pool, outdoor kitchen, fire pits, and easy communication with the hosts, made for a pleasant stay at this peaceful mountain resort. Easy access to Malibu beaches, Calabasas, Simi Valley, LA activities, and great canyon hiking trails were a definite plus. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We were in the area for a large family gathering and enjoyed a late Sept visit - perfect for a little couples getaway! We’ll definitely consider returning in the future!

An Incredibly Lovely Getaway Weekend!

This was the perfect mini romantic weekend getaway from the busy city with such generous and sweet hosts (and their precious dogs!). The gorgeous backyard was spacious with so much room to lounge by the fire pits, run around, hit golf balls by the net, bbq, and much more. The pool and jacuzzi are both charming and relaxing, perfect for what we needed in a getaway. The guesthouse itself was also spacious and lovely, with plenty of room to feel comfortable and relaxed. We loved this experience so much, that we already booked more days in a few months!

Great spot for a weekend getaway!

I loved everything about my stay here! I can't get over how beautiful this property is! Looks just like the photos but even better in person. The pool was amazing. The weather was great. I really loved the fire pit by the pool and the lounging areas. The frogs at night were pretty cool. The owners of the property are the sweetest and made sure we were good. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. Manny and Marti you guys are awesome, thank you!

Peaceful Countryside Escape

We couldn’t travel abroad this year, so we decided on a staycation—and this VRBO was the perfect choice. I booked it because it reminded me of the UK countryside, and it truly felt like a peaceful, relaxing escape. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by trees with lovely landscaping that made the whole experience feel special.The home was clean, comfortable, and really well-organized. It had everything we needed for our 4-night stay. We cooked and grilled every day and spent most of our time enjoying the different outdoor spaces.Our son especially loved the slide and pool, and even our dog had a great time exploring the vast space!We had such a relaxing and memorable stay. I’d highly recommend this property and hope to book it again next summer—if it's available!

Amazing Spot

This is an amazing and beautiful property. Very comfortable and homey. Everything you need for a nice relaxing quiet getaway. The house has everything you could need, super nice cookware, an incredible library of books and games, and is wonderfully decorated. The pool and spa are beautiful, and the outside amenities are incredible (including bocce and horseshoes?!). The host is very attentive and communicative. Cute ducks, and a chorus of frogs at night. Just an overall great spot, highly recommend!!!

We absolutely loved our two week stay here! The house is in a truly magical setting among towering trees, and we felt so lucky to be able to experience such a beautiful area. And it’s perfectly located, just about a 10-minute drive to the beach—so we were able to enjoy both the canyon and the ocean with ease.The hosts couldn’t have been kinder and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The property itself is gorgeous, and the fact that it’s dog-friendly was such a bonus for us. Our pup had the best time exploring the neighborhood with us on our walks.The house itself had everything we needed for our stay, and the bed and furniture was so comfy. The hosts have really thought of everything with this home. The pool, just steps from our front door, was another highlight—it felt like such a special treat to relax there after a day of adventures. Overall, this was one of the most memorable and welcoming stays we’ve had, and we can’t wait to come back!

Incredible holiday house in a beautful location

Just back from 12 wonderful days in this superb house. The photos and description in the listing don't manage to convey just how great this place is, inside and out. We've rented holiday homes all over Europe and the USA but nothing compares to this one. The outside space is stunning and the inside is perfectly set up for a luxurious, relaxing stay. Location wise it's really easy to get into LA and its numerous attractions, and even easier to travel to local beaches in Malibu. Groceries are a 10 minute drive away in a large supermarket. We took the opportunity to do various day trips but always looked forward to coming back to the tranquility of the house. We cannot recommend this highly enough!

Our stay at Manny's place was amazing. The location in Malibu is very private and tucked away but accessible and surprisingly close to the city and nearby shopping. The grounds are beautiful and the pool and recreation gardens are unique and so incredibly nice, a great balance of natural tranquility and fun amenities. Its even nicer than the pictures! The house itself is organized and the kitchen is very well-stocked for indoor and outdoor cooking. Communication was fast and easy, and checkin/checkout was seamless. Awesome for our family, although there are some cute collectibles and fragile objects you might want to put away safely if you have boisterous young children. We look forward to staying here again in future. Highly recommended.
