The place was spotless and easy to find, close to the beach and had multiple walking trails. Excellent communication! Host was responsive and very helpful. The tips and guide was helpful! Overall was great stay in quiet and pleasant surroundings. Unit had everything you need except laundry.

We loved the view out the back window and the deck. The bathroom was a nice size. The kitchenette was tiny but functional with plenty of dishware, glasses, etc. We had a little trouble figuring out the two burner cooktop. The fans and A/C worked great and kept everything comfortable. There was a nice walking path along a nearby golf course. Thee pool was a comfortable temperature. There was a supermarket, coffee shop and at least two restaurants in the nearby Princeville Center about a 5 minute drive. The host kept in touch daily to check on any needs we might have. She provided lots of great info on restaurants, shops, beaches and sightseeing.

My husband and I stayed at Lani's condo and had a wonderful time. This cute little studio had everything we needed during our 10-day vacation on Kauai, from cooking essentials to snorkeling gear. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom surprisingly spacious, and the streaming services were a nice bonus.The cooking area is compact—really just room for one person at a time—but it worked well enough for our needs. Some of the snorkeling gear was in good shape, though not all of it, so if you plan to snorkel often, I’d recommend renting gear from the local shops in Hanalei. The Wi-Fi could be a bit spotty at times, but in a way it encouraged us to disconnect from our phones—which is exactly what a vacation should be about.

Has good air conditioning system which my wife really needs due to her hot flashes waking her up all night. Nice and clean and functional kitchen. Host was really responsive.

Perfect for our stay

Our host Lani was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. The place is small and cute. You can hear some traffic and the folks downstairs had small children that we could hear too. But for the most part the condo was an excellent choice for us.

Aloha! I am Lani and I am passionate about sharing and passing on the love I have for my island Home of Kauai to those who visit this special place.

I’ve lived on Kauai for much of my life. I was born near Tunnels Beach and have always considered the North Shore of Kauai “home”. However, adventures beyond the islands, eventually brought me to the mainland and abroad. I went to school in Santa Cruz California and even got interested in colder climates for a while. Between travels abroad, I worked as an entrepreneur and in various outdoor industries for the better part of a decade, living in amazingly scenic, rural towns. One of my favorite of those towns was Jackson Hole Wyoming, where I lived for several years before moving back to Kauai. It took searching the world to ultimately realize, there’s no place like home.

I truly enjoy passing on the love and reverence I have of my island home to my guests. I offer my local knowledge and recommendations in addition to providing exceptional quality accommodation and service. I've even written an extensive Kauai Guide e-book that I provide exclusively to my guests. I want to ensure that my guests have as much fun and as little worries as possible on their visits to Kauai!

I love offering conscientious travelers an amazing home while they explore the Garden Island, and both my condos are thoughtfully equipped, well located and always kept clean and attended to with lots of love.

I am are honored to have received such great reviews and have maintained a consistent Primer Host title with VRBO for many years.

I chose this neighborhood because it truly offers the best of Kauai’s North Shore lifestyle — serene and natural surroundings, yet wonderfully convenient to beaches, dining, shopping, and adventures.

The Paniolo Condominium Complex is nestled in Princeville, a quiet resort community perched on a bluff with spectacular views of Hanalei Bay and the iconic “Bali Hai” ridge. The area is filled with lush walking trails and stunning mountain and ocean vistas — perfect for those who love to explore on foot or soak in the scenery.

One of the things I love most is that you can leave the car behind and easily access so much on foot. Within a 10-minute walk, you’ll find:
• Grocery store
• Cafés, restaurants & shops
• Post office, banks, yoga studios & local bus line

A 15-minute walk in the other direction takes you along a scenic path to Wyllie Beach (the west end of Anini Beach), known for great snorkeling and swimming (always check current conditions!).

Top North Shore beaches, Hanalei Bay, and famous snorkeling spots are all just a short drive away, as are Hanalei town and Kilauea (both 10–15 minutes). Hanalei Bay, in particular, is one of our favorite places to enjoy a day at the beach — whether walking along the sand, swimming, boogie boarding, or surfing.

Overall, this neighborhood combines peace, natural beauty, and convenience, making it an ideal home base for experiencing all that the North Shore of Kauai has to offer!

The Hala Hale is thoughtfully designed to feel like a true home away from home, with everything a guest might need to fully enjoy and explore the North Shore of Kauai. I want my visitors to be able to pack light and not worry about buying or renting gear when they arrive, so I’ve carefully equipped the condo with quality amenities and extras to make their stay easy and comfortable.

I take great pride in this space — it was my own home not long ago — and every detail reflects that care. The condo is filled with warmth, love, and happy memories, and I strive to extend that feeling to each and every guest.

Another feature that makes the Hala Hale special is its peaceful location within the Paniolo complex. Furthest from the road and adjacent to a lush greenbelt, it offers an atmosphere of relaxation with birdsongs and the rustle of trade winds through the trees by day, and crickets with the distant rhythm of ocean waves on Anini Reef at night.

This is the perfect home base to come back to relax after your Kauai explorations and adventures!
