Convenient to Chastain Park

The house was great! We enjoyed the pool on hot afternoons and it was walkable distance to our concert at Chastain. Very spacious with two living rooms which made it nice for different sleep schedules for the six of us there.

Absolutely not worth the money. We had a faulty nonfunctional door to the pool when we arrived the host said it was scheduled for repair. No sign on the door that the door was non functional. The door would not close after we opened the door. No one came to fix the door until the day we left of the last hour we stayed there. She put in a ticket for the door that we broke the door, after she acknowledged prior that it was scheduled for repair. She said it was just esthetic and not functional. She was aware the door was not closing and claimed all the cockroaches in the house were coming from that door because it was not sealed. Now we have to worry about a fraudulent claim and go through that. This house is a big DIY EXPERIMENT. The decorations are all glass. The rooms smell moldy because the air does not travel in the house well. The kitchen has almost no silverware or decent pots and pans. The microwave drawer does not work in the kitchen and is another item not labeled. The drawers in the closet in the bathroom on the lower floor do not pull out because the wall blocks them from opening. VRBO wrote me a very nasty message how she knows this was not the outcome we wanted. Do you mean lying on a claim? You already had the door scheduled for repair but claim we broke the door. Wow! Don’t stay here or this owner will pin something on you.

Thank you for your feedback. The pool door was fully intact at check-in with only a minor cosmetic repair scheduled, and guests were advised not to use it during the stay. The bottom of the door was subsequently broken, leaving the home exposed during heavy rain, and we’re handling it through VRBO’s standard resolution process. We maintain licensed recurring pest control with no prior reports at this property, and we were not contacted about any activity during the stay — had we been, our vendor would have been dispatched the same day. The kitchen is inventoried between stays, and we’re reviewing your notes on cookware, the microwave drawer, bathroom drawers, and airflow with our property manager. The vast majority of our guests have had a very different experience. Future guests — please know we respond quickly to anything raised through the VRBO message thread.
