Just 3 blocks from the sand in Ocean Beach, The Pearl Palace is your stylish coastal hideaway — and it’s dog-friendly too. With décor inspired by the iridescent colors of Mother of Pearl, this charming home is bright, modern, and thoughtfully furnished for a relaxing San Diego getaway.

You’ll be steps from restaurants, tasting rooms, yoga studios, coffee shops, boutiques, and all the quirky charm of Ocean Beach. Free parking for one car and walkable access to everything make exploring easy.

Important Location Note
Now for the important part: the cottage is located on a very loud, busy street and directly under the San Diego airport flight path. Planes take off from about 6:30am to 11:00pm, and traffic noise is constant. Most guests feel the location and walking proximity make up for the noise, but we want to be extremely clear up front. We provide earplugs, noise machines, and fans to help with sound.

To help ensure a smooth stay, all guests are required to complete a brief rental agreement and point-of-contact form after booking. Check-in instructions will be sent once this is completed.

Inside the Pearl Palace

This bright, impeccably maintained home comfortably sleeps up to 4 guests and includes:

• Open-concept living area with plenty of natural light
• West Elm sofa
• Roku Smart TVs
• Breakfast bar for two
• Beautiful iridescent accents throughout

The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig, drip coffee maker, and a spacious refrigerator — everything you need to cook and enjoy meals at home. Dish soap, dishwasher soap, and basic kitchen essentials are provided.

The bedroom features:
• A queen Tempur-Pedic mattress
• Full-size closet
• Charging station
• Blackout curtains for restful sleep

Two twin rollaway beds are available for additional guests.

The bathroom includes a shower/tub combo perfect for relaxing after a long beach day.

A washer and dryer are available for guest use in the designated laundry room.

Outdoor Space

Enjoy the private, fully fenced side yard, complete with market lights, outdoor seating, lounge chairs, and beach gear like chairs and boogie boards. A garden hose is available for rinsing sandy toes and pups after a day at Dog Beach. Parking for one vehicle is located directly next to the home.

We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dogs (no cats or other animals). Please pick up after your pet.

House Rules and Info
-Please note: all guests must complete a short rental agreement after booking. Check-in instructions are provided once the agreement is signed.
• Quiet hours are 10pm–6am
• No parties allowed
• One designated parking space
• Self check-in via smart lock (instructions sent before arrival)
• For stays of 20+ days, the cleaning fee is doubled
• Due to high turnover and cleaning standards, we cannot offer late check-out

Darling Daisy Retro RV, Bettie Blue Retro RV and Birdie's Bungalow are all located in the hills of El Cajon.

We have three additional rentals in El Cajon, perfect for groups who want separate spaces:

• Birdie’s Bungalow — Romantic tiny home up the hill, sleeps 2

All are beautifully styled, cozy, and located on the same scenic property.

We live nearby and are always available for recommendations or assistance, while still giving you full privacy during your stay. Our welcome book includes favorite restaurants, shops, beaches, and OB attractions.

Ocean Beach is a funky, colorful, laid-back beach town known for its surf, sunsets, local shops, friendly dogs, and eclectic personality. You can stroll just three blocks to the beach or wander nine blocks to Newport Avenue, the lively “downtown” area of OB. Scooter rentals, Uber/Lyft, bus lines, and walkability make getting around effortless. You’re also minutes from the airport, SeaWorld, downtown, and the San Diego Zoo.
