Sunset Shores for a Reason

This lake home sits on the eastern shores of Seneca lake. There is a boat house on the beach that holds fun water toys including 2 paddle boards, 3 kayaks, a paddle boat and many different floats. There are 6 life jackets. The dock area has plenty of seating. For someone wanting to dock their motorboat we have two boat lifts and mooring whips that can hold a boat temporarily for a visitor. On the beach we have a fire ring for our guests and cut firewood is on the property.
There is a separate bedroom which feels like a little apartment with a king-sized bed, 1/2 bath, TV and coffee nook. This is accessed by going outside under one of the porches to the lower level. There are many different seating areas with tables on each level.
The lower-level porch also has a hot tub, hammock, porch swing and has its own beverage refrigerator. Enjoy the hot tub which feels wonderful anytime of the day. There is a washer /dryer in the full bathroom, on the main level of the house with laundry soap and drier sheets provided. Wash clothes, hand and bath towels provided. Hot tub/ beach towels also provided. There is an outdoor grill and a full kitchen with utensils, pots and pans, oil, vinegar, seasonings, coffee (ground and Keurig), teas, sugar, non-dairy creamers and condiments. Aside from the full refrigerator/freezer in the kitchen there is also a separate beverage refrigerator. Upgraded radiant heat flooring is available in the living room and bedroom facing the lake, on the main level. AC units are in windows of all bedrooms, in warmer months. High speed internet and 3 Smart televisions are provided. There is a large screen TV in the living room that has Netflix, Pandora and Prime. There is a new couch which has three electric recliners, USB ports and seats 6. Upon request a highchair and pack-n-play are available. The water is drinkable from any sink due to a UV light/ filtration system. The neighbors are wonderful if ever needed but not intrusive. This area has many wonderful restaurants, wineries, breweries, unique shops, hiking/ biking trails and many summer activities in Watkins Glen, which is 5 mins away. The views here are so beautiful it feels like the sun is setting just for you. Come see this wonderful lake getaway. We call this Sunset Shores for a reason!

Perfect location for the wineries that we like to spend time at. This house is one of the best houses that we have stayed at over the many years of coming up to Seneca Lake. The house has everthing you could need and is so clean and comfortable. One of my favorite things is that there are so many great spots to sit outside and relax and see the lake. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

We so enjoyed our long weekend in the Finger Lakes. This home is beautifully situated on the east shore of Seneca Lake. The views of the lake from the house are stunning, there are numerous cozy spots to hang out and relax or read a book, a wonderful and clean hot tub, and lots of fun lake accessories. We had absolutely no problems or anything bad to say about this home!

Great weekend get away

Been to the finger lakes three times and this was by far the best place Iā€™ve stayed at! The house has everything you could possibly need and itā€™s a great area for access to wineries and Watkins glen. We got plenty of use out of the hot tub and it has the prettiest views. Perfect for a trip with family or friends. Candace was the best host and was super responsive and even took a call from us later in the night to make sure the hot tub was at the temperature we wanted. A PLUS HOUSE HIGHLY RECOMMEND and A plus host!

Fabulous Cottage & Stay

The cottage was as described and absolutely wonderful. Everything one could want was there from a well appointed kitchen, beautiful views, to plenty of water toys, great hot tub. It really is fabulous, close to Watkins Glen and all the features of the area. Very clean, very comfortable inside and out and very easy to check out with limited requirements. We would return anytime and recommend it to others.

Awesome spot on the lake with close by winerys.

Place was clean and check in was super easy. Was plenty of activities to do at the lake and surrounding area for both friends and family to do. The place is very well-kept and has a beatiful view of the lake. Going down to the dock puts you right onto the lake. there was plenty of room for everyone who came.

Absolutely fantastic family trip!

Thank you so much for such a phenomenal time. This is hands down one of our most cherished family trips. The house was spotless, well stocked and truly taken care of. We all (including the babies) slept like rocks! We enjoyed the stunning sunsets and coffee On the deck. The location was close to everything. We will be back!

Great property for lake life!

Our stay was just amazing. Enough space for 8 adults, great living areas (living room, dining room, two outside decks), and everything you need to enjoy the water (paddle boards, kayaks, fabulous deck). And the host was easy to get a hold of, and had really thought of everything as far as the bathroom and kitchen stock. This property is a super find, and I just can't recommend it enough! Thanks!

Superb lake house stay!

Candaceā€™s property was amazing! Prime location on the lake with a beautiful view of the sunset each night. The property was stocked with everything you will need; towels, linens, dishes/cutlery and all the lake amenities you could ask for. Our group made use of the paddle boards, kayaks, paddleboat and even hot tub. Everything was super clean and we felt right at home. If youā€™re in the area and need a lake property for a larger group this is the place to stay! Highly recommend this property! at home.

Loved our treehouse getaway on the lake!

We had a great time - it felt like we were in a tree house overlooking the lake! It rained the whole weekend, but we still enjoyed every minute of our stay. Candace was very accommodating, providing a high chair and pack and play for our little ones. The house is family friendly, well stocked with essentials and the lake views were magnificent! We enjoyed sunset fires at the firepit and skipping stones on the lake. We will definitely return on our next trip to the Finger Lakes !

Couldnā€™t have been better

This is the most impressive and comfortable short term rental I have stayed in - it has everything you could want or need for a lake stay. Great location (15m to Watkins Glen), perfectly clean, all the lake toys you could want, fully stocked kitchen and bathroom, and plenty of space between the house, 2 decks, and big dock. It feels like youā€™re staying in your aunts house, not like a vacation rental. Weā€™ll be back for sure.

Excellent stay - beautiful place

We met up with my SIL's family from Canada for a family reunion since its been 7 years. What better place than the Finger Lakes! Everyone had a blast, even though we had a power outage from a storm that came thru - we made the best of it!! Plenty to do at the lake house for all (water mats, corn hole, kayaks, tubes, rafts, grill), fully stocked kitchen - home is beautiful!! Pictures dont do it justice! And Candace/owner, was amazing!!! Very informative and a joy to work with!! Book it - you won't be disappointed!!

Ultimate Lake Life

We returned to the area after 20 years. This cottage was perfectly located about 10 minutes north of Watkins Glen on the east side. Cottage was as advertised and came with all paper goods, bath towels, lake towels, cooking pots/pans, condiments/spices, etc. The grill had two full propane tanks. The boat house was as shown with two boat lifts. I was able to borrow a boat for the week and this was perfect. Be aware as with most cottages, the steps to the lake are long and steep but they are very well constructed and lit. Fire pit was used nightly. Yard is fenced and includes gate on dock. Parking for three cars directly in front.You will not be disappointed when staying here.

Everything you could need

Weā€™ve stayed in VRBO homes around the country and this home definitely ranks amongst the best. Candace did an amazing job of supplying everything you could need. The Kitchen was well stocked, two ways to make coffee, the bath even had a first aid basket, the Boathouse had lots of fun Lake Toys, the home was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the hot tub a welcome retreat at the end of the day and the sunsets were amazing. You will not wish for anything but a longer stay. We loved the wild life on the dusk drive down to the home and saw 3 Bucks:) Great location. Great for a small family or couples/friends gathering. Thank you Candace for all your attention to detail and sharing your little piece of lake heaven šŸŸšŸŒ…
